  1. have heard of some people changing oil filter every 2,500km (twice per oil change) but think thats just people being really picky. They are only $10 though so pretty innexpensive Also Mobil1 gold (the 10W30) was something like $90 this Mobil silver (10W40) was under $45
  2. It all depends on how anal you are, the ticking/tapping sound isn't too troubling at first but after a while it gets annoying that something just isnt right with your car. Also if you get the sound when you change the oil, you'll always fun in underground parking Cubes - Oil pressure was a bit lower but should that be expected with thinner oil :X? Also i went with the 10W40 this time around
  3. Nice looking car, thought it was going to be style32s car when i first saw the thread :X . Hopefully this guy learns from his mistake. Best thing i ever did was crash, before that i was pretty much a retard at the wheel (when i was getting my tattoo done in batemans bay i was doing the trip in a bit over an hour in my old accent and once overtook a 10 car line of cars behind a truck down the clyde mountain...) but crashing showed me that im not invincible and now i always think twice and am too much of a pansy to want to try anything remotely dangerous in a car, just glad i didnt directly (actews fault for not securing the pole after an hour of staring, not mine) hurt anyone before that.
  4. Was using Mobil1 10W30 and found it caused a lot of noise from the lifters
  5. :X have never been able to find a nismo exhaust for an r33, did you have to modify it to fit? free bump aswell
  6. Well i went out and drained my 200km old oil (good waste of $90 there) and refilled with the 10W40 and the ticking sound is definitely quieter, hasn't completly disappeared but will update after a few days of driving. Thanks again for the help
  7. Will be changing to some thicker oil later today, hopefully it fixes the ticking, if not its just another cause ruled out. I'll fiddle around with it again and hopefully can set it, vaguely remember something about wheel size when it was trying to set it before *EDIT* Changed oil for a thicker viscosity and the ticking has become a lot quieter, will update after a few days of driving to see if its gone.
  8. Will be putting some 10W40 in today and will see if the ticking disappears, hopefully its fixed but if not thats one cause ruled out
