  1. Richard, and anyone else interested... I imported this car myself and sold it to Ahmed. I can certainly vouch for the quality of it. (as still seen in my profile pic) This car has/had a few Nismo options that seem to have been installed when near new, including the dash cluster. Overall condition of the car also leads me to believe this. I believe the Japanese log books are with the car, along with receipts for everything that has been done in Australia. When I sold the car I provided copies of the Import approval, Japanese de-reg cert (which states km's) as well as a few other items to Ahmed. If you have any other questions feel free to also contact me, as I can also translate any Japanese documents that are still with the car. My number is 0403 271 517. Cheers, Beau
  2. Its captain feathersword driving..... ohhoohohohoooooo
  3. As many people have mentioned, its really only the cars and fashion that have changed significantly. All of the temples/shrines/asakusa stalls are pretty much still the same. Japan were the leaders in lighting and all things that blinked/flashed back then too!
  4. so glad to see these up and running again! sorry I couldn't complete the task at hand myself... things get away with new job, and having two little ones myself now! Anyway I'm glad it has given Tez the enthusiasm to get things going himself now! Look forward to more pics!
  5. As good as that sounds, remember you will be paying off that loan amount over 25-30 years... So although it sounds great to have your car loan added to your home loan at home loan rates, if you aren't very strict in paying the car off above and beyond what your normal home loan payments are, then you will end up paying much much more in interest.
  6. LHS says: dirty interior gutter rash on mags rust underneath (no idea how extensive.... but this is common on many jap cars... especially from the northern areas due to the salt they put on the road during snow season.) not sure on the last one.. its sorta unclear - something is scratched but I'm not sure what RHS are the 'sales points': coilovers factory Aero aftermarket exhaust Hope that helps. Beau

When I was there I lived in a fairly rural area where foreigners weren't too common. I often had some of them looking up at me pointing and saying to their friends, "gaijin da, gaijin da" (foreigner, foreigner).... They were always surprised when I looked back at them, pointed and said "nihonjin da, nihonjin da"!! (Japanese, Japanese)... Terry, I was only in primary school when the Earthquake came, and I do remember it. No tremors felt in Brissie though! As for slides 10, 11 and 12, I'm not sure why the quality is like that... I tried to scan them a couple of times thinking I'd buggered the scan up. Maybe the actual slides are like that.
