  1. LoL tightass cops... i understand they're doing a job but with their power trips some of em think their judge dredd or sumfin...
  2. just buy yourself a package, splits 4 channel amp, head unit sub and box... i know clarion use to sell those packages for $700, sounded sick when we use to sell em but i dunno nemore, havn't been fitting for over 2 years... but for 1k your going to struggle just a tad.. if you were fitting yourself i'd say you can do it but cos your not fitting will eat at least $2-$300 if not more
  3. Yep we can compare it exactly to wine
  4. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PURE-BLUE-L...emZ200080113973 That one looks exactly the same as the Pivot type... well pivot copy in this case.. I've got a pivot shift lamp but a small lamp like 12mm diameter, its bright enough (lights up everything at night) and its compact aswell so it don't stand out like dogs balls inside your car and its not costly like you'd expect it to be for its brand... http://www.perfectrun.com.au/performance%2...OTshiftlamp.htm My one is the SSL-M and its only around $75 + around $20 delivery.. but if you have your heart set then get the PURE BLUE one it looks good.. looks like Pivot LoL.
  5. This sort of shit makes me not want to drive down anywhere near the SE suburbs nemore.. unless i'm driving my gf's mirage but its got a cd player and plays music so it might get a nice yellow sticker... Unbef*knleiveable... i understand doing a job but it was meant to be a public event, more like shooting fish in a barrell for tmu..
  6. PM sent
  7. If this manifold gets tested and its ok... the next one might not be? They're copies of copies and i think more than 1 need to be tested if anything...
  8. I've had a read of the pfc faq and its gold! Some great work paulr33!
  9. So no amp for splits you reakon? And no rear fill? His best bet is to hear some systems and see what he likes better but i agree with 110% that its in the tune...
  10. they charge you for the first couple then after that they dont.. i insured my car with just cars and i told em i had exhaust pod wheels system when i baugh it... then i modded the car.. added to the list fmic boost controller safc 2... they added i think $60-$100 Then i called em back and added my turbo power fc fuel pump inj (but i dont have em all yet) and they upped the value of my car another 1k and didn't charge more on my premium... I'm not sure exactly how it works but you should hear it all from the horses mouth.. call em and ask em 100 questions thats what their there for..
  11. That should set you around 1k without fitting... you forgot the amp tho... add another at least $300 for a 4 channel and thats not even that good lol Best bet for a smaller type car is to get... 4 channel amp (run front splits and bridge 2 rear for the sub) rear 6" speakers (Just to fill in the sound and run them off the unit) front 6" splits (to get the most out of your sound quality treb and mid bass) 12" sub with decent box Then cables and fitting... I've done this sort of setup on a few different cars and it works out pretty good and should set you back around a 1k or maybe just a little bit over depending on what sort of head unit your after.. If you go for high end stuff like alpine focal or something it'll cost you a bit and the type x splits will be a tight fit in the door.. Even if you go for type S alpine equipment that stuff is cheaper now than before and is pretty good quality.. Best bet is to go and listen to a few different speakers in the sound boards.. choose your system and do a price on em but if you can get everything for $800.. fitting should cost you around $300 of everything or maybe a bit more BTW you dun need 2 subs lol unless you wanna go deff from all the bass and have enough money to buy 2 amps.. 1 for subs one for speakers.. it gets pricey dude!
  12. I second this one... at least you know he has a rep and he knows what he's doing/ talking about too.. You need someone thats been in the game for a while to do your system n alarm if need be as apposed to someone thats learning to do car audio like most of the places are these days... everyone thats been in the game for ages usually work at the more "expensive" car audio shops that specialise in full custom etc. I say Chris is the go... good luck anyways!
  13. The website looks realll good! I noticed all the up n comin events.. i'm glad i payed for my membership loll
  14. I agree with ^^^... but if you get your insurance company involved you have to pay your excess cos your making some what of a claim... i dunno about you buy my excess is like $1500 lol As andz69 said be sneaky with em cos theres more than 1 way to skin a cat... But if you can prove they caused that damage then you can threaten to take em to something like the tribunal if they tell you to take a walk after unwillfully admit it... But before you jump to conclusions and start threatening em just try and settle it one on one with em.. best of luck mate!
  15. Umm.. i've got an original R33 GTR spoler on my R33... it looks a bit out of proportion but maybe cos its not a GTR lol.. looks nice from front view but from the back it looks a bit weird... i love it cos i dont get lights in my eyes from pricks in 4wd's behind me...
  16. By any chance do you know what the workshop is called? I'm in the market for injectors at the moment...
  17. Dude if your pissed about paying the yearly fee... you'd hate to make a claim... My mate has an s15 paying 3.6k per year... his excess when he made a claim was 2k.. now thats screwed!
  18. Yea I use to have a safc 2.. i think there was the thing to change it between the afm's from different cars exactly like your saying between the sr20's afm and rb's afm... it should actually let the car start up and idle smoothly... but the safc 2's have that feature to stop cars from stalling with the use of decl air thingo
  19. Yea i've noticed that alot... blocked or atmo bov on sr20's dun make em stall just make em pop and fart cos they're running that little bit richer... My comments about the spark plug's not fixing the main issue is reffering to my personal experience with my own car.. i got a larger turbo fitted (Gt2876r)... blocked bov (cos they couldn't be farked making a return pipe for it)... no tune cos i hit 2 many brick walls and ran out of money very quickly... and its running 6psi and would not stop stalling... i drove back in and they said cos it's not recurculating the air back through the intake pipe (which i never knew about until it happend to me) thats why its stalling and idle hunting.. pissed me off bad especially after all the shit i went though with the 33... So i got my friend to make my standard bov recurculate back to the intake pipe and it don't stall anymore.. and it dont boost over 6psi cos of the air it leaks (factory design).,. but yea for full blown stalling thats what i meant by "spark plugs wont help" but not for long anyways... But i need my car tuned real bad... thats my own issue but i thaught i'd share lol
  20. ^^^ I agree with that... if they screwed up go back to em and see what they have to say about... but 43 degrees of timing is faily high isn't it? standard is like 15 or something like that.. according to the sticker on the bonnet...

  22. Heya guricha welcome to the wonderful world of Skylines! This place is full of really helpful information and everyone on here is happy to help and wont look at you like your a dumbass for asking any sorts of questions... Just think of your Skyline as your new girlfriend LoL
  23. I dun know you but happy birthday! If only we could be 21 every year.. but 22 is still good!
  24. thaught i'd ask... what will they do if you go there with a blown standard turbo? will they still screw ya?
  25. i have a (HDI) hybrid electronic boost controller, just high and low but boost can be adjusted in cabin... it uses the same solenoid i've noticed as... apexi & turbosmart... thats all i've noticed from looking.. its a mac solenoid and the solenoid is only worth $60 lol can you belive that shit? but i suppose the electronic components in the actually controller is what counts but so far so good... Holds boost no problem and its the best $250 i've spent.. just dusn't look like the prettiest thing in the world lol
