  1. photobucket being greedy has killed your thread mate, time for a switch to imgur dude
  2. I thought the same at first, but that cover car is running fats and skinnies so no awd drivetrain i don't think, tough car though.
  3. what Mathew said! whatever happened to doing something different? bloody hell, there's a dude building a torana hatchback on here with full r32 gtr running gear... Let's see something original, some innovation and some skilled fabrication! geez if he has the time and budget to do it i say go for it, i can't wait to follow the build and see the results. or let's just be like a whole bunch of other modified skylines on here and not have anything unique...
  4. I can't see how VQ conversions would help, they're a very compact engine, the vq30det is quite small
  5. damn this thing must fly! awesome dude, can't wait to see the results after the fuel system is sorted, might as well upgrade it to e85 spec too hey she'll make some big numbers then!
  6. Great build mate, good updates, shame its been tarnished by a bit of immaturity, doesn't this place have mods to delete that sort of crap?
  7. awesome car dude, it's good to see someone persevering with these cars when so many put them in the too hard basket. I still think they're a great platform

  9. do you know if that upgrade would use the same bits on a series 1? i'm planning on buying an r34 gt-t brake setup so i'm hoping the lines mentioned above would work on mine too.
  10. do you happen to have the drivers side weather shield for the c34?
  11. i'm also chasing a drivers side one for an s1 if anyone is able to help me out.
  12. really nice gu you picked up there mate, please get a tranny cooler put in too, auto's in forby's get hot with lots of beach work and towing etc and with you chucking a turbo on it as well it's going to be working hard! the motors are also designed with low down torque in mind, they might not go so hard 'for 4.5' litres on road, but when your climbing a hill with the revs at 1100rpm and it keeps on pulling you realise how they work. also you might want to look at a set of stronger rods, the tb45 ones aren't known to last long with boost in them, tb42 rods are a fair bit stronger and cheap too plenty of info on outer limits forums if your interested keep us updated
  13. that's some good news, hopefully she's still healthy and ready to punch out some numbers
  14. a mate of mine was telling me a lot of the earlier 6boost manifolds did this, apparently he made an alteration which has fixed the problem and they hold the set boost with no problem now, i'd get onto the 6boost dude and just ask if it's true
  15. the vq25det is also not the only turbo vq series engine the vq30det came out in y32 cima's and other luxury nissans and is a pretty good motor, dude here been making nearly 500rwhp on standard one for quite a while now, they'll also do 300rwhp on a stock turbo (with a manual) however the stock turbo is like other nissan turbo's, doesn't like more than 1 bar or it shits out a ceramic wheel awesome car dude
  16. as stated in title chasing some bolt on fender flares to suit a dr30 sedan any help would be much appreciated cheers Trav
  17. wouldn't hurt to do a bit of research into PWR dude they're very well respected worldwide and are used in some top cars their products would be easily comparable to anything made japan or the us etc

  19. lol well done Ghostrider MrMayhem would have forgotten more about nissans than you'll ever know, the fact that he's owned and modified more than i care to remember means i listen very carefully when he offers his advice personally i went the hr31 rear end because as mentioned before, i already have a brand new mechanical lsd to suit the hr31 rear end, as well as the 5 stud conversion and brakes why the f**k would i go to all the trouble of getting the same done to a dr30 rear end when i can just unbolt the 31 stuff and bolt it into the dr30?
  20. figured i'd bump up this thread as my question is related my project has been a hr31 passage gt which for various reasons can't be completed i've bought a new mechanical centre, done five stud conversion and upgraded the brakes i've been offered a dr30 sedan and while i know the entire rear cradle can be dropped in allowing me to use my 5 stud rear end with the upgraded brakes etc i'm wondering if the hr31 struts will fit as well? if not i'll need to get the 5 stud done on the front which means more money any help would be much appreciated
  21. i ran a 34 neo turbo on my redtop 20 for ages with no tune, was very very rich, when it did go on the dyno the afr's dropped of the scale to below 10:1 got an old style safc tuned on it and picked up 50hp and heaps better fuel economy:)
