Hey guys, umm it seems that my headlight on the RHS is nearly stuffed... My car was fitted with 50 watt globes and were very dull, almost dangerously dull, so i got some 100 watt ones and since then all hell has broken lose! Im not sure what is involved in the compliance process to fit globes that meet australian rules. But my mechanic has always seemed to have had a huge amount of troubble fitting the globes in the housing. Ill try describe it to everyone. Theres a small washer that the globe sits in, round with one side squared off for the flat edge of the globe to sit agains, then both the globe and the washer sit back in behind the headlight unit. but with mine, there didnt seem to be an easy way to get the washer and globe to lock back in place, so that the globe is properly alligned. Now, when i had my 100watt globes fitted everything seemed to be fixed... nice clear bright lights, but about 1 week after they were fitted, i thought one had blown again, the right hand side one, but when i pulled the globe out to see why it had blown after only a week i saw that the washer has melted some how around the base bit of the globe. So it probly hasnt been sitting/alligned correctly since they were fitted, and the extra heat from the 100watt globes has melted the unique little washer thingy, and its stuck to the globe now.... I dont no wot to do.. The globe hasnt blown, but i think its shorting out somehow. Has anyone else experienced this at all?? How can i go about getting it fixed? Should i contact a compliance place and see if mine has been done dogely? Plz help.... im desperate!!

Nar.. not my wahser bottle.. The 'washer' (like the ones used on ur taps, but not metal like them) the globe is seated in melted.... its hard to explain. but dont no how to fix it.

Humm are u using nismo suspension aswell?? plz let me no if u find out anything! Cheers

Hey everyone! Im getting a strange noise from my suspension. Ive got 4 way adjustable Nismo Coilovers, and it sounds like something is loose. Its kinda hard to explain, but when the car is stationary at a set of lights for example, when i take off, just a normal, very sedate take off, it feels like the whole car moves foward a tiny amount before the wheels and suspension actually move. theres a click sound and then evrything catches up and gets moving. It gets real bad when im driving over speed bumps in a shopping centre! Sounds like the chassis is rocking back and foward on the suspension. ive taken it to pedders for an inspection, and to Unique and they both said it was fine. well pedders could hear the noise but said that they couldnt tell what it was, and the only way to tell was to start replacing the parts that they think it might be, and see if it stops. Dont no what to do! Its really starting to annoy me! Should i take it some where else and get a 3rd oppinion? Has anyone had a simillar problem?? Plz Help!!

Im from bankstown to!! and its tools like that vl bloke thats giving the area a bad name! I can see him now crusing around, slammed on chaser rims, stereo pumping obnoxiously loud, looking for magnas to race to make him feel better when ( or if, and thats a big if ) he beats them! get a life mate! Every time i drive my car around bankstown i get stared at by every cop thats driving or walking past, cos they expect ppl who have nice or modified cars to be tools like him!

Spotted a white r34 at Miranda on saturday. Big ARC front mount and a pretty badly damaged front bar. Nice head lights though, ( one of mine blew yesterday not happy ) and it sounded pretty tough! didnt get a plate, but pretty sure he spotted me, pretty hard not to spot a bright red r34 when ur driving one urself!

ARRRR DAM IT!!! Look's like it was an AWESOME day!! My navigator pulled out at 12:45 on sat night!!! Definatly wasnt happy. I got my membership and everything organised on the thursday so that i could come along sooo unhappy rite now!!! Is there any more cruise's comming up?? I no that they wont be the same.... but better than nothing i suppose.

Wot he said above, i agree!! but in saying that every1 would want their car to be making as much pwr at the wheels as possible. I would be disapointed with that personally considering wots been done. Before i put on my pod and was still running standard boost i was making 183rwkws. on my 34 now i got safc2, 3" kakimoto, pod running 0.8 and i made just over 200. Id be getting a 2nd oppinion. Just book it in 4 a pwr run, for like $50 and if ur AFR's are looking crazy on the 2nd dyno get them to do a retune and see wot it gets then.
