Apparently not; I've come across it a few times in fixing machines. A few different cards too; ATi 4870, nVidia 560Ti, and I can't quite remember what the other one was (about 3 years ago now though). Either way: Try HDMI, and if it has issues, go DVI Cables are cheap enough, anyway. And worst case, if HDMI overscans, then you've got a spare HDMI cable! Whoo!

This is how it can look on the PC: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PWgjWqPz_fk (in Code blocks so you can go directly; embedding for 1080p is crap) Make sure you hit 1080p!

You might get what's called Overscan on your screen; basically what happens is what's displaying on the screen is a little smaller; same resolution, but it leaves a black border around the outside. That's what I was getting anyway; gave me the shits pretty hard. They're both digital connections, so they'll both be perfectly fine. What size monitor do you have, if you don't mind me asking? Anything that's not super-high-res like the new Dell/Apple 27" screens, DVI is fine (also with Dual-Link DVI when you hit that size, or Thunderbolt for those of us using the Apple screen on Macbook Airs ) TL;DR: HDMI = fine but overscan issues, DVI = winner
-
Yep To use the external video card, you need to plug the monitor into that card. Even if you don't use DVI for now, think about it for the future!

All good dude lemme take a pic of something though, this is just an example pc i have here at work, nothing special: Have you plugged it into the top circle, or the plugs on the bottom one? Also yeah, you'd be using the DSUB connection, that's the old analogue signal. In the picture I've posted, in the bottom circle, the white connection is DVI; MUCH better picture quality.

....i know this might be a silly question, but where have you plugged your monitor into? also, check in BIOS the load-order of the GPU.

Awesome, thanks guys I think my mate's looking at 18x8.5 +25 at the moment with 235/40's. I know he won't go for staggered cause he likes to rotate tyres ;P Also have to con him into getting some BC coilovers... -

they have a TON of grip; they've changed my running style on a treadmill from landing foot forward on my heel to landing underneath me. feels awesome to push off hard with them too. you've gotta make sure you get fitted for them; i took a bus into the city to get fitted up for them, winner ordered them on the spot cause black is verrrry popular and low stock all the time. will try the wall thing soon! haha

dude it's not mine; was just commenting from typevu linking images from facebook. giving me the shits, cause they don't embed noone can see them, but the people who are linking it have it in cache so they think it works fine. BLAH FACEBOOK IS NOT FOR HOSTING IMAGES PEOPLE you know i have a flickr

On that note too: someone may have changed clusters at some stage. I know my cluster reads about 60,000km lower than what's on it, as it was changed to a GTR cluster with considerably less km on it. If I sell the car I'd tell someone that (and advertise it as such despite the odo reading), but if this guy didn't know that and had someone tell him a bunch of porkies before he bought it, he might genuinely think it has low km. As Terry said: A better way of looking at the car is general condition, not so much the km. Check the engine bay, seats, floor (under the mats), under the sides of the car, etc.

For anyone who gets shin splints while running in normal joggers: GET RID OF THEM. i used to get REALLY painful shins after about 5 mins on the treadmill at 16km/h, now I can do a loooot longer. how? VIBRAM FIVE FINGERS. having said that i enjoy running on grass a lot more, it's an amazing feeling with these. http://www.adventuremegastore.com.au/shoes/barefoot-running-shoes-1/fivefingers/vibram-fivefingers-men-s-barefoot-running-shoes/vibram-five-fingers-mens-kso-black.html THESE ARE A GODSEND

NOTE: Already posted this in the Cosmetic section, but I know some people don't read that bit so whatever. Deal with it. Hi guys, A mate of mine's looking to get some rims for his 34 GTT, no rolled guards, and what appears to be stock (or semi-stock) suspension. We fitted my LM-GT3's (18x9 +26) on front and rear to see how they look/fit, and are thinking they're probably a bit wide, so the idea was this: What rims are you running on your 34 GTT? If you could copy/paste this bit and reply, would be MUCH appreciated. Rim Brand/style: Size: Offset: Tyre brand/size: Guards rolled y/n: Suspension: General comments: Thanks heaps guys! (some pics to see how they don't fit quite right)

is it just me or do other people have the problem where pics hosted on facebook won't embed properly? http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/s720x720/302606_311498552197988_152317291449449_1446742_1991458747_n.jpg for those of you playing at home
