  1. All good man Ive never purchased brand new before and rarely actually get time to drive the car, mostly the Stagea use to live at the airport. Hense why the wife gets the Jeep and i get the Camry haha... (still feels so gay every time i say it) ATS Maitland not sure if they did a sh!t job or not, truthfully i cant even tell you what he did to the transmission to get it running again but for 3K it should have come out of there ready to cook me breakfast.
  2. I guess ill take the time to say thanks to every one on here who provided me with information and help with my 2 versions of stagea. massive thanks to Scott (scotty nm35) and Craig (jetwreck) for all the work and parts they put into my car. if you guys are ever up in the hunter give us a yell (you both have my number) the whiskey is always top shelf and the accomodation is always free. After much stuffing around with my M35 I managed to kill the tranny. Took it into a tranny specialist who repaired it for 3K. Problem was it was still not working correctly and kept throwing a preassure sensor alarm and 4WD light. Some times when you punched it, it felt like it would try pull real hard and then you would lose every thing for about a second before it kicked in and pulled like a freight train. Made overtaking very defficult. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/CREADER-VI-OBD-GENUINE-Scan-tool-/261131494973?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3ccca6663d I purchased one of these code readers ($135 delivered off ebay) to see what was going on but then got jack of the car and traded it for a new Jeep. Never got a chance to actually use it on the stag, I did use it on my wifes 2010 camry that had an O2 sensor alarm, it worked well and cleard the alarm. I'll deffinately be keeping this to use on our current cars. It says its JODB compliant and will work with Asian cars, any one in the hunter wanna give it ago or know someone who has tried it? might be a good little investment if it works. a little info about the Jeep for those of you thinking about trading to something different Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 3L turbo Diesel (8 speed) this thing is a massive winner so far... i thought it would be lacking power but it to pulls like a freight train and has every option under the sun. My wife drove it and the VW Toureg (both new) and prefered the drivability of the Jeep (i thought she had come down with mad cow disease) untill i drove it. Air bag susspension with three hight levels to choose from full 4WD capability with a low 4WD selectable english TV screen and to top it all off.... paddle shift from factory It to me would be every thing you would expect in a brand new stagea on steroids if they made them. The only downside is my wife gets it and i inherit her Camry lol and the little crystal around the rearview mirror. (so hot right now) Anyway adios amigos its been super fun with its share of super frustrating events.
  3. lol craig... ill keep them till i get bored... will see you in a few weeks, but if another set of coil-overs turn up its not my fault. blame Dale for making it take more then three weeks for sway bays to travel from melbourne to sydney. " Oh no he din't..."
  4. *sorry if dupe* Another option? thoughts? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/BLITZ-DAMPER-ZZ-R-NISSAN-Stagea-NM35-VQ25DET-10-01-7-04-92424-/151033143603?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item232a46e133
  5. hhhhrrrmm sounds like my issue around 100 KM/S + -,the car shudders like it doesnt know what gear to select. im about to have a shift kit fitted and oil changed ill let you know if this fixes the issue i think it is, which is oil thats lost its viscosity and causing the auto to do silly things. if it does fix this issue try sending a message to Jetwreck, he is doing all of my work as i cant be fkt, coz im lazy................... Actually I just read your sig and it says ur in Auckland and im pretty sure he wont go there unless you pay for it. but it might be worth asking him for a decent oil for your auto unless you know of one your self?
  6. since the cruise control has been unplugged she seems to be running ok... 2 hours of driving and nothing. not holding my breath but will just have to see what happens.
  7. I have Cruise controll, i just unplugged it and will drive it round for a bit to see what happens. ive had the cruise control for ages, this fault has only recently started happening. ill buy the new pedal assembly and throw it in. do you have a part number for us please? cheers
  8. yeah i just realised this thanks scotty and dale, had a go at it and got two codes, (thought you needed to get the code when it was happening) P0121 Throttle Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Range/Performance Problem P0235 Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Malfunction Car idles fine when its cold and warm? not sure what the boost issue is, not running any boost controllers. last thing we did to it was swap the turbo for Hi-Flow and put in a boost guage, also i think i have one of your presprung waste gates scotty ? none of these should be throwing a code yeah ?
  9. cant get the fault code? dont have a code reader thinger and if i turn the car off it resets its self.
  10. Yeah issue happened again this morning, started car, had no accelerator with a solid engine light. turned ther car off and turned it back on every thing was back to normal took it for a drive down the street and while i was driving (about 60 km/h) same thing happened engine was still on engine light apeared lost my accelerator, slipped it into neutral turned the car off, turned it back on and engine light went away and car was working again. any ideas?
  11. lol man honestly im so lazey when im not at work, i just cant be stuffed trying to fix stuff, id rather just buy a new one and know itll last another 10 years before i have to replace it again (knowing i wont have the car for another ten years also helps). ahhhhh i cant lie with a straight face once i replaced it i opened the other one up by cutting the pop rivets off to see whats inside. What i noticed inside is, i don't think cleaning out will fix any issues, there is only three gears, a DC motor and a Spring. if there was a sensor of some type yeah cleaning mite aid this but its pretty much mechanical besides the DC motor that has a + and - terminal. It has no other electronics.
  12. nah not sure if its fixed the issue. lol was there supposed to be heaps of cleaning involved? coz all i did was remove the old one and put the new one in. I took it for an hour drive and couldnt get it to fault?
  13. recently my TB started playing up, while i was driving i would lose all power and not be able to accelerate I also noticed that my revs had lowered to near 0 when i started the car. Some days when i started her up same thing id get a engine light and have no accelerator. Speaking to craig he said look at the Throttle Body. after ringing up numerouse places chasing a genuine part i was told A. There were none in the country B. and Quote from email http://www.nissanparts.com.au "The throttle body is $2118 available out of japan." after a bit more googling i found these guys www.PECONLINE.com.au and they did it for "Item: Nissan 350Z Throttle Body (042) Total: $286 incl. delivery" if any of you need this part try these guys. It was also a very simple swap out job no learning no messing around.
  14. i have a small penis there for ill go for a nice suprise. i think ill go the tanabe's just to be as different as i can be. plus i was told to go BC's and im a dirty homo
  15. http://www.jdmconcept.com.au/part/tanabe/nf-kit-coilover/stagea-nm35-vq25det no damper adjustment Tanabe NF Sustec Pro Tanabe NF Sustec Pro is a height adjustable coilover set which adopts certain legth adjustment system. The damping force of the coilovers are non-adjustable. The spring for this kit is barrel-type as shown. By using barrel-type spring and absorbers, we acheived comfortable driving as well as superb handling Sustec Pro NF. Special tuned for street (best ride quality for high driving sports) SUSTEC PRO NF is for those who desire both high performance and maximum comfort from a suspension system. Pro NF is ideal for performance or street applications. Dispelling a popular belief that a firm or harsh ride is a sign of a performance suspension, the short stroke, shortened case dampener of the Pro NF is extremely unique in that it’s internal construction allows it to deliver superior handling without sacrificing strength or ride comfort. Unique double-cylinder design allows for full suspension stroke within the shortened shock body while Low-pressure gasses ensure smooth rebound characteristics for additional ride comfort.
  16. yeah ive asked craig for a list of add on bits for the suspension and was hoping he would do it all when i take it down to get the shift kit done. Hoping to get all these nagging issues out of the way before i take it down to sydney though. lol he hasnt given me a list yet but hopefully soon. this week is that supid throttle body, next week will be the coilovers week after will be shift kit and what ever else craig reckons will give us a tighter smoother ride. week after that will be a zorst.... ( still no clue one what i want though... need something that looks like factory but has a nicer note and flow, but not to loud) than im back at work. lol i dont even know why im doing all of this.... probably just going to trade it in for a prado, pajero, grand cherokee for the mrs any way. I guess it would be nice to just finnish a car project for a change. give someone else a nice base to start from. Its funny you buy a car for a price spend heaps of cash on it and then sell it for the same price you purchased it for, i think im getting to old for this sh!t see what boredom does to a person?
  17. nice one scotty, mate having a look at the two types availible one says v1 design VT series? http://justjap.com/store/product.php?productid=18628&cat=&page=1 is this what you have ? also whats the difference between the RS and VT ? one says something about vehicles in which a camber plate upper mount is not available? whats this do for me ? cheers
  18. Thanks Rudi, yeah im hearing alot of people are happy with them but ive also heard alot of people have heard a strange noise after installing them. on the up side they have dampening adjustment, where as i dont think Tanabe's NF's do? hopefully some more people will comment cheers
  19. fair enough, I was hoping someone would shed some light on the $400 difference between the two but if fitment is the same and build quality is the same maybe its not worth the $400? as for the driving, i will probably never see track time but I use it to get me to the airport and back its about an hour drive all hiway. occasionally we use it for interstate travel as it takes the family and the two dogs quite comfortably. cheers
  20. So im on leave till the 8th of May and ive started driving my car around alot more and started noticing alot of things i dislike about it and im getting bored (the itch that needs scratching). My suspension is past used by date, ive read alot of mixed feelings about quality of BC's and Tanabe's, has any one experienced both? are there any downsides to either of them? any info would be greatly appreciated cheers
