  1. yeah but what did you actually end up paying.... thats what i want to know.
  2. yeah especially in an rb...... it will do its own oil changes
  3. ahh ok so what does the cost net back too? im sure they would do the same locally.
  4. yeah i hate federals.... they have weak carcasses it is quite common when drifting for the whole tread to delaminate like a retread.....never see side wall damage like that though... from the pictures i reckon you got a puncture or a slow leak and it ran flat for some distance (wear pattern near tearing is the tell tale).
  5. haha least your drives.... mine is worth less than the ztune gearknob....
  6. Can you explain to me why you would order them overseas when you can get exactly th same thing done round the corner? i just want to know.
  7. No, they are both the wrong offset and have stagered size fron to rear. I got all excited about some new wheels too
  8. yeah as far as i know. see pics.
  9. the best way to determine on a NA motor is to paint the exhaust lightly and run the engine at say 3000 for a few minutes and see where the paint stops flaking... put the x-pipe there. On turbo cars it makes no diff really but you could use the same principle..
  10. i have seen a few R34's running R33 ECU's (cars most likely stolen ex japan) it seems to be fairly common in europe too where alot of the no so legit cars end up. i have been trying to source a r34 gtr wiring diagram for ages but the only one i can find is paulr33's and its not working, reason being is i have a few excess r34 gtr fc's and want to use them on r32/33 it can be done i just need the diagrams....
  11. Race car= 80mm Trust full titanium cat back (no cat) i wanted the 90mm but after dno testing it made the same power as the twin 3" open pipes anyway so i left it. One gripe is they are a bit quiet probaly 100-odd db.... the street car run's a Trust PeII
  12. YEAH ITS FINE. sorry caps same with SR ive never had a drama.
  13. Close... 180sx and gtst rear suspension is nearly identicle.... the front is Macpherson though. Both can be made to work very well just look at the super lap cars there are plenty of S15's lapping the same times as the GTRs. i agree they would lap about the same.
  14. yeah this is common for road car engineers it makes for a safer numbnuts car.... these cars are built for average joe and he/she doesnt read the limits of their car all that well.... the easier the limits are to find safely the lesser the chance of a big off..... brown pants are better than dead customers
  15. haha you still have no idea do you... 4kgs .....meh.... but i do agree that it probaly isnt his issue money would be better spent on tyres or weight transferral aids.
  16. Like R31NISMOID said it is best to use the minimum instead of overkill unless you plan to upgrade turbo again later on.
  17. not quite give us another 5 years
  18. Well put Darren.. i think many of the knockers have not been to a recent DA event, we love each round and evn though we are on a super small budget we try and turn it on and the fans seem to love DA and the show more than ever... yes we do need to keep fresh and relevant and if that means our fans want us in taxi's we will turn up in taxis but until then we continue dong what we love.. competing.. socialising and signing autographs.
  19. but neither have won head to head against the jap D1 drivers..... oh yeah ryhs did his championship winning in an aussie built car the V8 Monaro (GTO) now he is in a soltice.... he is also a top bloke who has helped us enormously.
  20. Very good question yes (v.minimal) or no it depends on how they are installed. I prefer to use the pineapples over the metal type as it allows the drive angle to be changed to suit power, skill and tyre choice.... of course the better driver/drifter you are the more rear grip you need.... hence the invention of pineapples..unfortunately here in aus many use them incorrectly. PINEAPPLES IF FITTED CORRECTLY WITH GIVE YOU MORE TRACTION.....NOT promote wheelspin as previously mentioned. there are two types of pineapples too... the generic type or the super type (drift or drag only) the super have an addition 5mm drive offset over the std pineapples.
  21. they are nowhere near as effective, great for fluids which have a low density like fuels etc but i used one for pwr steering a while back but it did not cool anywhere near as much as a stack type cooler.
  22. i deal with oil companies everyday. i know exactly what works and what doesnt..... and who promotes bullshit and who doesnt.
  23. It is hardly ever a emu fault... usually the install. Glad to hear you got it sorted.
  24. I can understand being differrent there are 1000 odd proven examples... i go in enough cars now that owners love that i simply would have refused to pay for because they are well below what i consider good upgrades. If the seller cant give you all the specs or knows nothing... he knows alot more than he is willing to share most probaly taken it somewhere and got told i aint fitting that shite.... remmember there is power and there is power, see below;
