  1. If your running very light mods. I don't recommend a burnout without the appropriate tyres and drivetrain upgrades. Even though im in a manual, my very first pass cooked the stock clutch after a decent burnout and I could barely move off the line before crossing the line in an 18 or 19 sec with a very sad face. Your not going to gain anything major without doing something major. Just remove anything that doesn't need to be in the car, even the 2 stage boost mod will likely not even register on the time sheet. All your time will be found in a clean run with the right launch. I found my biggest gain by far is my Mickey Thompson tyres. Even my Turbo upgrade didn't do much (180rwkw upto 245rwkw), What I gained in top speed I lost in the first 60 foot. Minor gain but not enough to warrant the price tag. Enjoy it though, I aint been for a long time and am just starting to get all the urges again. Certainly fun and very easy to get into. Luke
  2. I've found the source of my clicking noise. Its coming from a little brown box in the drivers corner of the engine bay, the add image on here is not letting me add photos, but it sits just behind the suspension strut tower, I've got a 96 s2 gts-t. May be a different issue but hopefully that helps. From in the cabin when driving I could of sworn it was coming from somewhere between the door and the steering column. goes off approx. every 20 seconds. 2 clicks each time. No idea what the box is though.
  3. This sounds identical to an issue I've had for years and it drives me insane. This weekend I am planning on trying to find the issue. if I have any luck I'll let you know
  4. My heart says Nissan. But the head is saying TT supra.
  5. What are you planning on using for? Daily drive, weekend toy, drag, circuit?
  6. Hi. In the market for a portable GPS. Looking mostly at tomtoms and garmins although nothing seems to review that well. Main things I want is good quality screen, accurate maps, speed camera locations and easy to use. Tryed searching here with no luck and googling just seems to come up with reviews that don't seem to offer a model to suit what I'm after. What do you use and how do you rate it? Cheers. Luke
  7. Sitting at lvl 35 now. Trying my best to get hours in but between working on the car and the Wife laying down the law. Then a couple of nights of connection issues. hmm. its a battle. The Vector absolutely rocks and barely anyone is using it (going by the amount of times i've been killed with it according to Elite). Just prestiged that the 1st time round. 400 odd kills it took.
  8. I ended up buying the following tool from Supercheap for about $15. Needless to say. The angles fit in perfectly for the R33. Took longer to get it out of the plastic wrapper then it did to get the oil filter off.
  9. Hi there. As topic says. I need to get my hands on a Caliper for the brakes on the front Drivers side as the thread rounded out when I was putting braided lines in. Will be willing to buy a pair. The car is sooooo close to being back on the road and then this happens. Thanks for any help you can offer. Luke.
  10. lol. I bent my filter wrench. cuz i needed a slight angle to have any movement. Generally use Ryco filters in all my cars. Might have a look in the shops tommorow and see if theres a better looking one then the flimsy thing I have now.. Haha I could imagine getting myself in a lot of strife trying to use a screwdriver.
  11. Hey guys Just a quick queory on what most people are using to remove their oil filters, as well as do you remove anything from the engine bay before they take it out. Whilst ive changed my oil filter without any issues in the past. This time round it seems completely stuck in place, my oil filter wrench has bent whilst trying to undo it and I just seem to be cutting my hands apart because I cant get good enough access and keep scraping on things. This is in an R33 gts-t. I NEED SMALLER HANDS. Cheers. Luke
  12. Ive taken next week off work. Ready to go. Only 2 goals for the week. Complete my brake install. And try to prestige within the week. lol
  13. What I was aiming for was for the arches to flare out at the top then be fairly square on the sides. I.e nearly equally wide top to bottom. Instead of getting to its widest point right at the arch then narrowing back out as it gets further down. But the look in my head didn't match the end result. The idea definately was working though. Rear dbas are now ordered as well as a few fluids in prep for a service.
  14. After some careful consideration I have decided to strip the additional fibreglass work I was doing. Whilst the individual parts came out well in the end I wasn't convinced at the way they all went together. So a bit of reconstructive surgery and im back with the wider parts as they were at the start. lol. way to waste a bit of coin and lots of time. But hey. The final result is all that matters. In the meantime I've started working on a brake upgrade whilst its all in pieces. DBA4000 rotors on the front, still playing around with Pad selection, as well as repainted the calipers. The car is going straight to the panel shop as soon as the brakes are done to get the rear end finished. Then it'll be time to start saving again in time for the paintjob. Getting very toey. Haven't started up the RB25 since February.
