  1. Hey mate, I'd make sure you have the platinum or similar spark plugs which are about $23 ea first. I'm having a similar problem to you though. Although mine happens under load not on idle, idles fine. you can take your coils out and get some good insulation electrical tape (not cheap shit) and tape 3 or 4 layers over the stem of the coil as they earth out somehow. I did this with mine but its still missing under load but not as bad. I advise to get someone you know who has good coils and try them in your car. Then you can eliminate the coils. As far as i know the stem earths out under load aswell as the maind part breaks down. I think mine are breaking down at the main part. Im getting some coils off a guy in QLD and i hope it fixes the problem.. If not it could be the coil loom. Its just a process of elimination which is easy as you can do it your self Also what ECU are you running? stock? I'm running a Wolf 3D ver 4 which isnt the best but i know it has been tuned to 310HP when i first got the car so the computer isnt the issue with mine. Hope this helps dude. Kier.
  2. Hey do you still have the coils? And if yes would you take $100? I have a sister in logan who could pick up asap give me a msg back pls to [email protected]

  6. Hey i have had Splitfires in my 95 R33 for about a year and a bit now and about 2 months ago i had one blow, then 2 more within days of each oither in the last week I have never heard of these blowing and know that they have a lifetime warranty right? I am running a wolf 3D ECU, and have also replaced the spark plugs when i replaced the first splitfire coil. gap was good enough according to my mate. so now i have 3 splitfires and 3 stockies (2nd hand) in the engine Just wanna know if anyone has come accros this and maybe shead some light as to why they r blowing. Also i noted that the last one i replaced, it was cutting in and out and then finally blew similar with the 2nd but the 2nd was more like go for a bit then not go for a bit and same with the first one. They were new 15 months ago also the splitfires that is Ok hit me back guys Appreciate anyones 2 cents hey Peace Kier

Cos that way all the newi cars could cruise with yas. i reckon make it twin Shell Servo's at wallsend. I'll be definatley there if ya do and i'd say there would be like a few others keen too.
