  1. hey mate, sorry to keep hassling you about this, but, any updates? looks interesting!
  2. agreed! that's your problem right there! oh, and take the bulb out of the dash when u take off the rack, or it'll stay on and annoy the shit outta you
  3. and i third that richard at allstar is a great guy to deal with
  4. i'm sure if you dig around you will see myself and a fair few other members (though not many of them seem to voice their opinions on the forum) hold their work quality and ethical practices in the highest regard... not....
  5. bahahah, i'm ROFLMAO
  6. agreed, i used the supercrap auto boost line kit on mine.... (whoever had installed it originally used normal vacuum hose :|) and it works fine... comes with fittings and nylon hose
  7. hrm... what size is your current exhaust? I've always wanted to try out those EVC's... such as the HKS EVC... basically you turn a dial or push a button, and it silences the exhaust by moving baffles that are built into it...
  8. Hi, i've added you to my MSN i have a stock R32 'cooler you could have for a cheap price.. northside of Brisbane
  9. if budget isn't too much of a concern, and wear rates don't matter too much either, try something like the Falken Azenis RT615's (or even the superceded RT215's) i have used the RT215's, and was impressed with them... very good street tyre... had plenty of grip both wet and dry for me (though power was stock back then)
  10. congrats man, i'm glad it all worked out in the end.... its the most gut-wrenching feeling to come back to where you parked your car only to have it gone.... I parked mine in a 'Kings Carpark' one time, and went to the wrong level when i came back to get the car, went to where the car was supposed to be, and there was something else there.... my heart stopped for a good 30 seconds i reckon... it was the most terrible feeling, looking at this other car where my car was supposed to be... nearly in tears.... then i ran up and down the levels to see if it was on another level... luckily enough, i found it on the level below, and it was like christmas... i was so happy, i gave the car a hug so i can understand where you're coming from, but in a much shorter timeframe, haha
  11. don't be a tightarse, and buy new ones! nah, seriously, they're all of $3 or $4 each...
  12. now, don't get me wrong, i do still want a predominantly R32 cruise, guys, but i'm just saying, that if you show up in something else, i'm not going to act like a hard c*#t and ask u to piss off....
  13. guys... guys... WHOA THERE NELLY!!! i think you have all taken this the wrong way.... it was meant as a bit of a tongue in cheek stir at the previous 'model only' cruises... of course you're allowed to come if you have a stagea, or cefiro, or a 31, 33, or 34 as well, or even GTR's... the more the merrier... i was merely trying to point out the stupidity of having ;model specific; cruises, while at the same time, trying to drum up a bit of interest with the r32 boys and girls, as there never really seems to be that big of a turn out of them on cruises.....!
  14. Maybe we could start the "Consortium of Skyline Owners for Carbon Fibre Items" or something
  15. beats me? *shrug*
  16. Hi All, Seeing as there have been quite a few of 'this car only' cruises lately (i.e. the GTR only cruise, and the R34 Only Cruise, etc) I have been feeling rather excluded due to me owning an R32.... hey... its not my fault it is the best skyline made to date (with the exception of maybe an R34 GTR N1 or something ) and everyone else is jealous of us R32 drivers and don't want us on your cruises.... so...... i was wondering if any other fellow R32 owners were interested in having an 'R32 Only' cruise, to somewhere like the sunshine coast for a bbq lunch or something? at this stage, just gauging interest... Thanks Jason
  17. can you get another couple of pictures of it? i.e. one from under the parcel shelf (so, taken looking underneath the object from inside the boot) and one taken from the rear seat so it is clearer? i think Osman_R32 is onto something... looks a bit like a rear air purifier i once saw in a Cima... though they're usually reserved for luxury cars.... The factory amp in mine was this tiny little thing hanging under the rear parcel shelf...
  18. JCMarshall_Law... i see you're in brisbane too... next time you're doing some carbon work, gimme a yell (if you want to, of course) and i'd like to drop around and see how it all works etc Again, thats if its okay with you Thanks Jason
  19. to get it done properly, and a half decent job..... $3000 - $5000
  20. yeah, i was already thinking of how i could incorporate the screws/brackets... takes a bit of thought to get it right though!
  21. You're not confusing me in the slightest, feel free to go more in-depth into it if you wish! found a page that was rather good in explaining how to do basic stuff (http://www.mci.i12.com/carbon/) (i'm only looking at doing some simple stuff at the moment, such as an a-pillar trim, or stereo surround etc. until i get the feel for how to use it properly) so you're right, i can use the 'cheaper' resin, and direction of the fibres doesn't matter too much, as they're purely aesthetic at the moment, and wouldn't require any strength...
  22. Hi All, Was wondering if anyone has had any experience with making carbon fibre (or fibreglass, for that matter, as its a similar sort of technique i believe) items? Are there any good websites etc that outline the best way of doing things? Now, i understand the basics, ie: * You need to make a mould of the item you wish to replicate, mould has to have a very good finish on the inside etc... * You need carbon fibre sheets or matting, lay it in mould * You need resin to impregnate the fibres * Allow to dry * ? * Profit I'm only looking to make very, very simple (automotive) items to start off with, and its mainly for my entertainment/use.. Anyone with any ideas etc? Many Thanks Jason
  23. Mine came with a instrument cluster that said 155,000km but the car was fairly mint inside and out... its now done 195,000 on the cluster, and still looks mint
  24. so how do they do it? Use the standard ones, make a mould, and make carbon replicas of the originals using the mould? or am i missing something here? *Has idea for online parts business*
