  1. Hello all, Have this car listed on Car Sales so just copying the ad from there. Apologies for some of the filler. This car is a genuine series 2 R33. Built in 97, it was one of the last R33's. Car has been garaged the majority of its life. I am the second owner in Australia. It was originally imported and complied by Kamikaze Motors in Nunawading. The car has been recently serviced. It has an aftermarket double din Sony head unit that has USB input and AUX input with MP3 support. It has a boost gauge installed but is only running factory boost levels. Other than the above mentioned items, the only changes from factory are the rims and exhaust. The exhaust is a cat back exhaust and I have a quieter custom made exhaust I will be providing with the car. The rims are Axis 18 inch rims with Pirelli P-Zero Nero tyres (235's on the front, 265's on the rear). The car also has a larger than factory battery that was purchased about 3 months ago. Extra's coming with the car (if buyer wants): - a spare set of rims from a 350Z (rear tread on second set of rims is not roadworthy). - the aforementioned second (quieter) exhaust. - boost tap and fittings - spare dash cluster that can be used for spare dash lights. Reason for the car selling without a roadworthy is that the ABS pump has gone and I don't want to spend more money on this car. The brakes are fine, so relatively easy to get a roadworthy for if you have the time to source a replacement part. I have had the car for 10 years now. Recently had a daughter so needed to purchase a car that could manage baby seats. It's a fun car to drive and with all these cars it is very easy to modify them for more power (factory power is 184 kw). Car is in average condition for an 18 year old car but still looks good despite its age. I am based in Rowville in the S.E suburbs of Melbourne. Please only contact if you are genuinely interested in buying the car. You can PM me here or call me on zero four one zero three six seven zero one two. Otherwise you can email me - dogknight at gmail dot com Photos available here: http://imgur.com/a/3EvTM Edit: Realised I forgot the price. $7000 o.n.o
  2. The ABS pump on my R33 has gone. Need to get a replacement so looking for a second hand one. Obviously needs to be in working order. It is from a 1997 Series 2, GTST. I do not know if there is any variance between ABS pumps in Series 2 33's. If anyone knows for sure, please let me know. I am in Melbourne, so would prefer something local that I can come pickup. Please let me know if anyone has one spare. Cheers, DK
  3. Interested in picking up your tachometer if it was in good working condition when last used. Please PM me.
  4. Thanks for the advice guys. Looks like the easiest way will be to replace it fully. However may pull it apart and check some of the connections as per the link provided. Anyone have a spare tacho for a R33 GTST lying around?
  5. Hello all, Need a little bit of advice on where I can help with my 'line. Recently the tacometer has started playing up and the needle is bouncing all over the place. It could be sitting at 5 grand when idle or up over 9 grand when cruising. I can still drive the car as I dont need the taco for daily driving, however I got a lovely little EPA notice which needs dealing with and a working taco is a must to get that resolved. I live in Rowville so I am looking for a workplace in the south eastern suburbs where I could get this fixed. Can anyone recommend a workshop? Or alternatively, anyone had this issue and know how to fix it? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.
  6. Don't know if the driver is on here but a quick thanks to the R34 driver that pulled over and helped me move my car off the road last night. Clutch stuffed up on me last night in the middle of Scoresby Rd, near Boronia Rd at about 3:30am. Couldnt get the car in gear so was stranded in the middle of the road. The R34 driver gave me a hand to get that car off the road and onto to sidewalk. Think his plates were "Lecstr" or something similar. Just wanted to say thanks. Must be a few Skyline drivers in the Boronia area because once I was on the sidewalk I saw another 3 skylines go by between 3:30am and 4:30am. Seemed quite a lot.
  7. Nah, I just live down the round so I pop down there fairly often. You've just been lucky
  8. Probably the same cop that pulled me over. He has been doing laps of stud road recently. He actually pulled me over the previous weekend, did a bit of a check under the hood and let me go. He was a fairly young cop and was pretty good about everything. He got me again last night, came up to the window and asked "I pulled you over last week didn't I?". I said he did and he said okay, have a good night. He seems to be targeting skyline's, as he has changed the directly he was heading on both occasions to follow me to pull me over. But as I said, he wasn't being a dick about it like some previous bad experiences I have had. Be polite and hopefully you'll be okay.

    A Good Laugh

Either that or they wanted to get the wife off their back. Wife: "You have to sell that bloody car" Husband: "Okay honey, I'll have the car up on Car Sales tonight"
  10. Would be awesome if you arrange something for the club Ash. Keep us posted.
  11. That is an awesome idea. SAU 'tag' match with magnets
  12. Ill take the passenger side front seatbelt off your hands.
  13. That would of been my car. I was in the passenger seat giving my brother manual driving lessons, so if the car looked pretty jerky, that will be why. Funny enough that his car is actually a Magna O.o
  14. I also think Tim GTR should put the R34 GTR Nur in his garage up as an option.
  15. We should line the street with Skylines. Would make for a good background for any photos. SAU represent!
  16. Damn Pat you beat me to it. Spotted James too.
  17. Please, been waiting May be in the market soon.
  18. Vote 1 Thursday I have a work dinner on friday. Ill head down after that depending on the time it finishes.
  19. Moron. People who resort to violence in retaliation to verbal insults are just proving their immaturity and their stupidity. People with half a brain can have an argument without resorting to violence. Violence comes about because those attacking are either: 1) Unable to come up with a verbal retort due to their lack of smarts. 2) Wanted to beat someone up anyway, regardless of the reason, they just wanted to fight. The first group are just uneducated idiots and often get frustrated or upset with themselves when they can't reply to something said to them so they vent that frustration but attacking the victim. The second group are just assholes straight up who don't care about others and have no place in our society. They should be hit with the full extent of the law, or if from foreign countries, deported.
  20. My mate is a mechanic, did his apprenticeship through Chisholm Tafe while working at Kmart automotive as part of it. He hated it there, didnt enjoy it at all. Found a work shop in the local area where the boss treats him pretty well and he gets on with his workmates. As with any job, whether you enjoy it or not usually depends on the environment youre in and who you work with. Good luck.
  21. Will have to get brandon to swing by in it one day so we can take it for a spin.
  22. The PROEVO has obviously had a lot more work done to it since I last went for a ride as it wasn't making that kind of power. However this was a couple of years ago at least.
  23. I saw it when it started from my work in the city. Saw a huge cloud o smoke out my office window (on the 40th floor) and checked the cfa website which hadn't been updated at that time. It looked like a mushroom like, like a bomb had been dropped. Called my mum who lives in Rowville and let her know as well as SMS'd several friends in the area. Driving back home from a mates house in Rowville to my place in Boronia, I went up Napolean rd at about 10:30pm and the police were still blocking roads.
  24. Had O'Porto's once in Sydney, didn't enjoy it much. I love Nando's, but the price is damn high. Nothing beats their chips and perinaise (as simple as it is). Grill'd is also very good and I eat their more often as I can feed my partner and myself for the same price as I would pay at Nando's for just my meal alone.
