  1. Silver NM35 spotted lurking around garage sales in Wentworth Falls this morning.
  2. I'm in, I wonder if I get to try snow mode in Medlow again in the next few days?
  3. On my 2000 C34 S2 I have Michelin pilot sport 3 from bob jane, they did a deal I think I paid about $185.00 ea. I was looking at the Kumhos as well, did a bit of research and I'm glad I went for these, we have had some pretty serious rain in the mountains in the last week and not once did I feel I was getting close to their limit even with some spirited driving. I probably have about 10 000k's on these now, I did fit adjustable upper control arms to reduce my neg camber on the rear as I kept scrubbing out the inside edges of the tyres, nice even wear now. Hope that helps, Regards Craig
  4. Hi YDR030, Craig, Registrar from the Sydney Z car club here. This is from the RMS website "Historic vehicles manufactured 30 or more years ago are eligible for conditional registration if the operator belongs to a Roads and Maritime Services -recognised historic vehicle club, and the vehicle has not been altered except for certain safety features or period accessories. The vehicle's use of the road network is restricted to club events." Send me a PM and I'll give you my number if you want more info. Regards Craig
  5. Keen too, depending on date, Sundays are preferable due to work.
  6. I found my invoice from JustJap. The correct part number is 48520-23U26 this is the genuine part number I got from Nissan which supersedes previous part numbers. I have had them on my 2000 C34 S2 RS Four Auto since November 2012 last year with no problems, as I stated before the aftermarket ones do not fit, they are dangerous as they feel like they pull up into the taper but there is insufficient clearance underneath leaving very little angle to pivot correctly and they flog out very quickly, I had them on the car for only a week waiting for the genuine ones to arrive and when I fitted the genuine ones, the aftermarket ones were worse than the ones I was replacing in the first place, the only good thing was they practically fell out of the taper when I undid the top nut! I hope this makes it clear re the correct part number, for info, they cost me $190.00 for the pair in November 2012 when I picked them up and Dan from Just Jap was extremely helpful. Craig
  7. I got genuine Nissan ones from justjap in the last 12 months for the front of my 2000 C34 S2 RS4, I tried after market ones that a few members have recommended only to find out that the taper is incorrect. The genuine ones only cost about $100.00 each, I can't put my finger on the part number at the moment but justjap will sort it out for you. Mine were flogged out too. Regards Craig
  8. I had this problem too, in my 2000 S2, really annoying and sometimes felt like the car was jerking back and forth at 80 - 100 km/h, turned out to be a really simple fix, check the attessa fluid level in the reservoir located in the back behind the inspection cover on the right hand side, make sure the engine is running as it will appear full if the engine is off, topped it up to the correct level with ATF/ power steering fluid, problem solved. Regards Craig
  9. Hi Adam, interested in the sway bars, tried to send you a PM but it wouldn't. Could you PM me so I can talk to you about them, Thanks,Regards Craig
  10. Hi Daleo, my wife and I were heading down to Penrith to buy a new fridge, she of course said "What Stagea?"
  11. Daleo, I was wondering how long it would take you to spot that! I spoke to the dealer about it with mine parked across the road. It doesn't have the twin sunroofs like mine and it's non-metallic paint so I don't know what spec level it is. I have been doing some work for Springwood HiFi and the last 3 times I've driven down there I've passed a white C34 heading west on the highway near St Georges Crescent, you haven't been moonlighting in a C34 now have you?
  12. I had a similar problem that gets mentioned on here a bit, in my 2000 C34 S2 Rs Four. Intermittent misfire always accompanied with engine check light.I went to a mate who put a scanner on it which was confirmed at another mechanics and it reported something like "primary ignition circuit" or something, this was nine months ago. Changed the coilpacks to Splitfires part number SF-DIS-008 from JustJap and haven't had a problem since. In my case, it's a known problem. Regards Craig
  13. Stagea's in the mist! Yesterday morning, Thursday, driving my daughter to school in Blackheath in my wife's Honda CRV, Rosella appeared out of the mist on the Great Western Hwy coming over the crest of the hill down past Sutton Park, flashed headlights at him but I wasn't in my car so I don't think he recognised me (Hi Russell from the white CRV). Thursday afternoon, in my car, turned from Waratah St left into Katoomba St in Katoomba and there on my left was a chap standing next to a silver S1 DAYZ edition C34 with black mags and a cannon poking out the back, parked opposite Aldi. I tooted and waved and it looked like it took him a moment or two to realise what tooted him, my silver C34 S2 which he acknowledged. My daughter, aged 9, prefers going to school in Daddy's rocket (as she calls it) rather than Mummy's Honda. Craig
  14. I had the same problem with the surrounds separating on my rear speakers and replaced them with Kenwood KFC-E1662 6 1/2 " 3 Ways. Fitted well with only a minor bit of trimming if I recall. The fronts are a bit trickier so I haven't got around to them yet. They cost me around the $80.00 mark as I recall.I just checked on Supercheaps website and they are $109.00. These worked well for me with the standard head unit. Regards Craig
  15. Perfectly acceptable under the circumstances mate.
  16. AAA34T's white C34 at Macquarie Park 1.30 today. Sorry I didn't catch up with you there, maybe another time under happier circumstances. RIP Les
  17. Hi Andy, I saw you at the last minute as I was looking at the stone house on my left and then saw that M35 bonnet as I looked back to the road and tooted as it was too late to wave. We were returning from lunch at St Albans with the Sydney Z car club (my other love but the 240Z is only a two seater and wife and daughter make 3). On our way up the Bell's Line of Road going the long way home, I also spotted a yellow C34 as I was into passing traffic up hill in the overtaking lane on a nice sweeping left hand bend, he was heading towards Richmond with much less traffic to deal with. Overall a great 300Km drive for lunch. Regards Craig
  18. I received mine last week from Quadrant Suspension, waiting for it to stop raining so I can fit them. Part numbers are BE5-2589 Rears, BE5-2590 Fronts. Look nice sitting in my lounge room, wish they were on the car, come to think of it, so does my wife! Regards Craig
  19. I have a 2000 RS4 Tiptronic that recently had a similar fault at idle and sometimes whilst driving, the engine would noticeably miss and at the same time the engine check light would come on; this progressed over a two week period and eventually it would do it around the same period of time as you describe. I had two different mechanics run their scanner on the diagnostic port and they both came up with the same fault which from memory was "Primary ignition circuit" in other words the coil packs were breaking down. This may or may not be related to your problem but it seemed to be heat related as when the "choke" cut off i.e. the engine had warmed up, the coil packs played up.I replaced the coil packs with Splitfires from JustJap and the spark plugs while I was in there and haven't had a problem since. The coil packs are a known problem with these engines. good luck, keep us posted. Regards Craig
  20. Mothers, the polish company not the energy drink, make a product called "Plastic Polish". The details on the label say "is ideal for headlight covers, taillight lenses etc, etc" They actually make a kit for rejuvenating headlights which has a small buff that attaches to a drill and with this polish will rejuvenate headlights. I got the polish from a local auto parts store, I just checked on Supercheap's website and they list the polish at $21.99 Try that. Regards Craig
  21. Hi Daleo, that would be me! What is it with P platers in commodores that sit in the outside lane? His missus gave me an earful as I went past them at the macca's intersection, I couldn't be bothered advising her that if hubby was not in the overtaking lane they wouldn't have been undercut by 2 Stags! What were they thinking? Car looks and sounds nice by the way, I am at the other end of the mountains. It was coincidence when you first went past, I was just showing a mate my (4 week old to me) new car and explained what an M35 was and as I looked up, there you were and I said they look just like that black one there! Bound to see you on the GWH car park again! Regards Craig
  22. An extension of the Jenolan Caves rd drive which I drove on the Easter Weekend down to the Nissan/Datsun Nationals from Hartley down to Goulburn, a beautiful drive through State Pine Forests with very little traffic. http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=Hartley,+New+South+Wales&daddr=Goulburn,+New+South+Wales&hl=en&geocode=FZQmAP4d6X3zCCl_tp5shQsSazGAY0OQtAkGBA%3BFV6v7f0dU4bsCCmXDH5LzLEWazHg3UOQtAkGBA&mra=ls&sll=-25.335448,135.745076&sspn=67.281839,133.681641&ie=UTF8&z=9 Sorry the HTTP address is long but if you copy and paste it into your browser it will give you times ,distances and directions. An alternate to this is go to Google Maps and find "Get Directions" and type in "A" Hartley then "B" Goulburn. It says about 3 hours but I drove from Medlow Bath down to Goulburn via this route and it took 2.5 hours with a toilet stop.
  23. What is the offset of the wheels and what car did they come from?
