  1. Looks like the privately imported one is up for sale http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?Cr=0&R=9349645&keywords=&trecs=1&__sid=129DA2CA75F2&__Ns=pCar_RankSort_Int32|1||pCar_PriceSort_Decimal|1||pCar_Make_String|0||pCar_Model_String|0&__Qpb=true&tsrc=allcarhome&__Nne=15&seot=1&__N=1216%201246%201247%201252%201282%204294962861%204294817506&silo=1011 Check the crazy interior.
  2. I've got a bit of a thing for wagons and have always loved the Mitsu evo wagon. Now this car isn't available for low volume import because the lancer wagon was sold in Aus and they were too similar. But now the MX5 coupe is eligible, I assume cause it has 'significant' differences to the local model (ie. the roof). I would have thought that the significant mechanical differences in the evo wagon (4wd, 2ltr turbo etc) would have made it eligible even if the slight body differences didn't (wider guards, body kit). Just my 2 cents worth anyway.
  3. That was me in the car park. Nice to see another Stag tragic up this way. And spotted a silver/grey S1 in same car park yesterday.
  4. I don't think it really matters what new cars enter the category. Although seeing Merc, BMW, Chrysler and Audi shaped cars would be cool, the cars are all going to be running the same gear anyway. As long as the racing is still close, there's lots of real passing (pit lane passes don't count) and some cars get bent every now and then, I'll be happy. The racing is generally pretty good. It just needs to be as far from F1 as possible. If you want a category with real variety check out the Aust GT championship. Audi, Ascari, Porsche, Lamborghini, Nissan, Lotus, Dodge, Ferrari, Mosler and more. All they need is for channel 7 to broadcast it properly and they'd be on a winner. Some brand name drivers probably wouldn't hurt either, although seeing Tony Quinn crash two Mosler's in one weekend was pretty entertaining. How much money is in pet food anyway?
  5. After a pair of Tein Hook © Spanners, for height adjustable coil overs. Cheers
  6. CES made up a turbo back system for my 260, so i can't comment on results for a vq25, but they did an awesome job, and sounds great. Sometimes you have to pay for quality.
  7. Will these fit as replacement 260RS (series 1) front indicators??
  8. GT-SS's feel like they spool up just as fast as the stockers. Don't have exact rpm numbers, but by seat of the pants they are very impressive. Almost feels like a big cube NA motor. My old RB20 with 450hp bb turbo, had lag. These are light years ahead. Do miss the sudden boost hit and manic wheel spin though, (damn ATESSA, sometimes i wish i had a switch to turn that off)
  9. Very nice work Grim. How did you manage the rwkw figure? (front driveshaft out?) Jim Berry clutch is a rebuilt factory item. Slightly shorter travel than standard but really smooth (wife can easily drive it).
  10. it does the job. unfortunately we're not exactly blessed with a choice of 4wd dynos on the Sunny Coast.
  11. Thought about cam gears, but I like the fat low-mid range and am not really chasing peak power. Not sure if they'd make much difference for what I'm after. Yeah, it was Stu (and friend) who installed all the parts, and did the tune. He did an awesome job, and is a top bloke as well. I couldn't thank him enough.
  12. Had it tuned on Sat. HKS GT-SS's Sard 800cc inj Nismo in tank pump Z32 AFM's PFC CES dumps, 3in twin front pipes, 3.5in cat back Jim Berry clutch JJR intercooler hard pipe kit Made 361awhp @ 18psi feels gooooood.
  13. Been looking at replacing rubber intercooler pipes on my 260RS for a while now, and while tuning at >1bar, one kept blowing off. Bought a JJR hard pipe kit for BNCR33 and it fits perfectly. Bit of drama getting the oem pipes off behind the front bar though (thanks for your help Stu).
  14. How do identify a RB26 N1 block while it is in the car? Have already tried searched the forums but came up empty. Cheers
  15. Cheers J-Spec, thats just what i was after
