If i am reading this correctly then i am assuming that your mate would like a pod filter instead of that stock airboox, correct?? If that is the case then all you have to do is go to Autobarn/Supercheap/Repco/Sprint Auto Parts/etc and pick up that 3A pod filter for like $25-30 and then remove the airbox and replace the airbox by the pod filter. its quite easy and simple to do and no piping is involved. Just make sure you get the pod filter adapter as well which is suited for a skyline. Its written on the back of the thing

problem is there is always going to be "unwanted attention" on practically any cruise......just the way things go i guess
