  1. The kit is a bit like the OEM GT-R one - only more chunkier at parts and is rather more boxy. With the wing, it's not bad, only if it had only 1 level. And yeah, sorry, can't help you with the wing thing - never heard of it.
  2. never knew there's a trust wing for a r33...
  3. can you provide us with a picture - don't quite get you, but if you're asking for what I think you are asking for, then I might know of a place that can sell you these. provide more details and I will try to help you out mate. regards,
  4. that's a load of crap, over $1k my arse. But look, the reality is you will have to get the holes welded again then the whole boot will have to be repainted. Here's the drill - to repain whole boot you will be looking at at least $300.00, welding should cost around $100. Without further details on whether you want to go wingless or install another wing - I can only assume you will go wingless - if this is the case, then you you will be looking at around $500.00 max for this exercise. On the other hand, if you want another wing - then of course you will have to buy one (price depends on the wing) then get it professional painted which will be another $250 or so, so yeah.... that's it in a nutshell. Actually, talking about the R34 Nismo wing... I actually have it on my r33... I have a drift wing on it, then a bit further in, I got this wing without the wrap-around, looks aggressive as. I would suggest that you take the wrap-around off and just leave the wing on it's on free-standing - looks aggressive as - but yeah, I would also move it in a bit, it's sticking too much towards the end of the boot which makes it look awkard. good luck.
  5. although I am not 100% sure, but I've heard that some Skylines (imports) from Japan come with boost/speed limiters. Hence, if you bost your car up to a certain level it actually beeps to let you know that your performance has been limited. Secondly, some aftermarket ECU's (not sure if you got one) may beep when there's a malfunction of some sort in the management of fuel, boost, airflow, vacum etc in your car. Hard to say, you will need to see a mechanic to be sure as it does not sound too good. I wouldn't leave it too long. A mate of mind started getting weird sounds from his engine bay, left it thinking it was nothing serious and now he's blown his turbo - not suggesting you're is this serious, but would definitely get it checked out asap. good luck
  6. History of all Skylines (awesome too): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2vr-xwUTQrU
  7. Fellas, I was in awe... just farken love Skylines...
  8. Have you check your hoses? fastened correctly? Do you have an after-market ECU - if so, sometimes you will need this to be tuned. Moreover, damn 14 psi is alot of boost already, why would you wanna go more? Don't forget, you've upgraded the turbos but how about the engine? Any mods? Just watch out you won't blow the engine. I got a bigger turbo on my R33 GST-T, running 12 Pounds and it's already starting to show strain. Good luck mate. But I think it maybe the boost controller. To me, I think the Turbosmart flat-line boost controller is best. Let me know how you go.
  9. OK, I'm make this quick and painless for you brother... Go the VIPER VX alarm with remote start, sound sensors and motion detectors - should cost you around $650.00 but worth it helps - even has a picture of a viper snake flashing when the alarm is armed. Go to GARY'S RADIO AND ALARMS in East Keilor - ask for DOM or anyone can help you - say, Kevin with the Black R33 Skyline referred you and he'll do you mates rates. 03 9336-0053 - about 12 minutes drive from highpoint. Good luck yo!
  10. Check your boost - standard without much mods - should be running around 8-11 PSI max in my opinion. With mods, proper boost controller, run max 14 psi. Get your vehicle tuned and make sure you only run your vehicle with high-octane fuel - I recommend Shell's V-POWER. Moreover, make sure you warm up your car at all times. Either turn it on and let it idle for around 5 minutes before you drive off or, drive slowly for around 5 minutes and let the engine warm itself up slowly. Never ever cane it when the engine temperature is still cold. Hope that helps. good luck.
  11. I use to get this too - my mechanic Nismo VIC said that it's the fuel pump, my Borsch puel pump and aftermarket ECU was pumping too much fuel and hence the vehicle built too much at high revs making it too rich. He got it tuned again and recommended that I only run Shell's V-Power fuel for a while. Did it for around 2 weeks, noticed that the smoke is more fine and less cloggy - moreover, performance is more responsive too. I think you should get it tuned again plus run better fuel (if you are not already). Good luck bro.
  12. Well fellas, if the polls have anything informative to tell; it would suggest that the GT-R replica wings seem to be everyone's preference followed by the humble, but luxury-like drift wing. It really makes me wonder, everyone wants to be different, but yet everyone seems to not mind being way too similiar. I guess because the GT-R wing is nice and really brings out the R33's true looks. Ummm... Has anyone tried this.... a drift wing with a R34 Nismo GT-R style wing on... I think I may challenge the status quo and do this. I will post up pics for everyone soon - it looks pretty aggressive. Regards,
  13. That's hot bro! Thanks for the info and pics. Yeah, I had a GT-R replica wing on too. The only reason I don't want to go back to a GT-R wing is that everyone - nearly everyone John and Peter has one. LOL
  14. Yeah, the red wing is kinda gay indeed. a bit of overkill for sure. matey, the drift wing is around $200 unwanted, painting will cost around $150 - so you're looking at around $350 painted then you'll have to look at installation costs - $50.00 would do it. Good luck. Let me know if you've found cheaper!
  15. If you're asking for $1,500 - I would say, reasonable but yet still not cheap. But good luck though.
  16. Hi fellas, I got some damange to my side arches (close to where the fuel lid is) - quite small but still needs to be repaired + need to get my boot lid repainted + rear spoiler painted. Does anyone know of a place that is competitively-priced and does a good job? Many thanks fellas,
  17. you gotta give people a bit more notice bro - know you're bored, but the reality is, most people probably are already cruising now or going out. ha ha ha
  18. if you have a frontmounted intercooler, check the tubing, check exhaust to see if there's any major leakage, check spark plugs and always use premium or high octane fuel.
  19. +100 wow, most informative post I've ever seen. Thanks so much basti, much much appreciated. I think I might go for the GT-R wing again (had it already) but guess this suits the R33 best. Yeah, I might put Nismo on the sides then. Do you know of a place that sells GT-R wings at a good price - I will need it to be painted too. Damn, the Jun wing is so hot - I like it - but do not know where to get it? Cheers,
  20. Cheers mate. My ride is black - I got a full GT-R kit, but the GT-R wings are just too bloody common (excuse the pun); what do you think? Does anyone know what wing is on this Skyline in this clip.. ?? It looks like a stealth wing plus some other wing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YyZUQKwxhHg
  21. Thanks for all your PM's but, I am still looking for the above wing. Anyone?
  22. Mate, there two reasons why I want to move away from the GT-R wing. 1. my ride is a GTS-T - not GT-R - why would I have a GT-R wing. 2. It's too expensive, the replicate is already around $500 without paint and fitting. Click here for example: http://www.carmate.com/product_details.php...W&p_id=8958 3. Everyones got them. I had a replicate GT-R wing on my car... what do you think?
  23. I am after two things. 1. GT-R rear wing 2. GT-R dash gauges - the one that goes above the CD player. Please PM me some pics, prices and your location.
