Exactly what I think also. I've never heard of Jecs gray top feed injectors. Any idea what the part number for the 550cc purple tops is? Kind of resembles the part number I have been given?
-
hahah Awesome Darren.. I thought it was a tad strange farmer with a 4wheeler would happen to have his Camera ready taking pics as we drove by. Definitely an awesome route Darren, very enjoyable. Thanks. I must say MUCH better than the north cruises.

I was under the impression the R33's were unable to run the HKS cast manifolds due to the turbo's positioning. :S On a side note.. What did you pick the manifold up for?

Hi ppls, I'm looking at buying a set of 550cc injectors. I've been told they were pulled out of a GTR that made 360rwkw on them at 100% duty, on what fuel pressure I'm not sure. He said they are Gray tops and has the usual Jecs A46-00 marking. The part number is apparently 1v01 2727D The part number doesn't match anything. Has any one seen gray top Jecs injectors? I can't find anything on a grey top at all.

Buttons aren't that bad. forzamotorsports 3puk has a really really smooth take up, actually feels much like your os giken darren, much nicer than my 9puk.

Sway Bar Settings - Front And Rear
Cubes replied to evil_weevil's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Good thread. I still run stock springs as I prefer my car to sit at stock height and just about to purchase a set of swaybars to keep the roll under control. At the moment the car feels super neutral, it never understeers with a slight tendance to oversteer which is how I prefer. Its running just over 6degree's caster which has made a massive improvement to front end grip/turnin. The front sits fairly flat but the rear I can feel does roll around a tad more. I think bhdave maybe on the money so I'm going to go with a similiar setup to his. 24mm front and rear. bhdave.. Do you think i'm on the money thinking your on the money with what I should do for mysetup? -
Definitely... I had no problems ripping the tint off as I knew from day one that it was too dark (30% on the front windows), I managed to get away with it for ~4.5years. Still haven't cleaned up the glue stuff from the passenger window properly. lol One day.

hrmm and we have to do it again soon. :S Lets see if we are as lucky this time. lol

We had to spin the box close to 90degree's so the starter motor bellhousing lump cleared the floor pan, we had a hydraulic trolley jack under the rear of the box tied up with rope so that it wouldn't slip when spinning the box. Doing that really made it easy to make the box square/level so that it slid in/out easy. To get the box back up we shoved a piece of wood under it levered it up then slid the jack under it then jacked up the box so that it was in the correct position, bit of of a wiggle and slide and pop in it went. The car had a OS Giken Twin plate, I expected that to make it more difficult as not only do you have to ensure one plate is aligned you have to make damn sure 2 are aligned. Which reminds me.. Damn.. My last rb20t box that smashed third gear, I was meaning to cut the input shaft off it to use as a clutch alignment tool. The plastic ones from the auto store are never as good as the real thing. There used to be a bloke on Marion road right next to Specialty tuning who would do clutch installs for $250-$300. Which isn't too bad I thought.

If the std turbo's restrictor were to see 100psi more oil would be flowing in to the turbocharger than if it were seeing less oil pressure caused by the addition of another restrictor further up the line. Is my understanding of oil flow/restrictor wrong? It could be as I'm simply working of what sounds logical.

Fastest Time On Radial Street Tyres..
Cubes replied to campbell's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
NOS is fine under this category? -
Bl4ck32 and I had his (rb25t box on the back of his rb30det) box in and out within 2 hours with just axle stands a couple of jacks and a lump of wood. Its not too difficult providing you have the correct tools, long extension bars etc etc. BUT.. I think we were just lucky that day the box slid in on its first attempt.

Nismo 550cc Injectors Rb26dett -> Rb20det
Cubes replied to R32-PSH77's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
THe R32 GTR and GTST ecu's are designed to run high impediance injectors. The GTR injectors are all low impediance, as not to damage the ecu's injector drivers you must run a resistor pack (~5.2-5.8ohms). Failure to run a resistor pack will most definitely kill your ecu. -

A well built motor there will be no noticable piston slap. Mine runs the slightly looser clearance according what what wiseco state 24+psi/race use. When stone cold the untrained ear can't hear the slight piston slap, pop the bonnet and it simply sounds like a little valve train noise.
-
Paul, Grab a nice cushioned ceramic puk clutch and have your flywheel machined. You'll never look back.
-
Hey Buddy, The injectors, you've had them in the car I assume? So Low imp injectors? Providing you had them in the car and they were running fine (no major cold start issues, hessitations etc etc within reasons as after all most r32's have the usual stumble on cold start) consider them sold. Will you do them for $310 express delivered? Yes I tried to call.

lol well it didn't really go like that. He said your tint is too dark and will earn you a defect. I said I can rip it off right now. He said " well if you can........." I didn't say it in a smart arse manner, doing so would have got me know where.. well maybe some where 'regency'. But saying that fingers crossed it would have earned me only a trip to the local cop shop as its not registered 40km/s out of the CBD for no reason. ----- Paul.. Who's HPA with regards to your HPA FMIC?
-
I was pulled over by a defect station they had out the front of Marion some time ago. He pulled me over due to tint.. So.. I grabbed a corner and ripped it off.. No more tint unable to defect. Everything else looks and basically is stock.
-
Yer not saying he doesn't. But if he's not willing to do a leak down because he thinks its a waste of time thats a pain in the arse for you.
-
Leak down always shows stuffed ring lands, usual comp test doesn't always. Piece of mind to stop those sleepless nights get it done. As a bonus you know the condition of the motor a little better. Maybe take it some where else just for the leak down if your current mechanic believes a regular comp test is as good as a leak down at showing engine problems. Good luck.. Give in to the dark side............<looks at avtar> You know you want to.
-
Yer either way.. The PFC is the next step if you want to try keep up with Andrew.
-
So the ecu is remapped?
-
What Bl4ck32 means is how far off being optimal the std tune is for the mods.

Buy from nengun. I believe its a 3-4 week wait but PFC with H/C for $865 delivered. http://www.nengun.com/apexi/power-fc-hand-controller
