  1. Hello everyone I'm in need of a little help from people that have used an electric speed sender with an R32 GTR gearbox, I do not want to hear from people that think they know or have heard, if you haven't done it please don't comment. first option: use an R33 GTR electric sender - not available second hand that I can find and new from Nissan is too expensive. second option: I found one person that said a speed sender from a Nissan navara works - while they are close the navara senders OD is 2mm too small. third option: use an R33 GTST sender with the Nissan navara's speed senders gear on it - worked for a while but I'm assuming it shredded the gear. Are there any other options at all?
  2. Hello I have designed some plug and play wiring looms to suit R33 skylines, they consist of a plug and play section in the fuel tank to suit the walbro 255 and E85 450/460 pumps. For the larger E85 pumps there is an upgrade loom that replaces the power wiring and bypasses the stock fuel pump controller and supplies a power feed directly from the battery which is also all 100% plug and play. If there is enough interest in these products I will develop them for other models as well. I'm looking for minimum 20 people that are interested in the R33 kit to pay the introductory price of $50 for the E85 upgrade kit ( includes intank plug and play loom ) and 20 people that are interested in just the intank plug and play loom to suit the walbro 255 pumps. for anyone that is interested please send me an email: [email protected] I have a few new wiring products in the works at the moment which I will also be looking for expressions of interest on shortly. depending how this goes I plan on becoming a site sponsor and trading on the forums properly but it all depends what interest is shown. a bit of back ground on me: I have been working in the automotive industry as an installation technician ( car audio visual and security ) for 10 years.in the last 5 years I have moved into the auto electrician side of things and studied electronic engineering. I have also worked in a production facility where I ran an electronics manufacturing clean room for a number of years. I have a registered business that I provide my services under but for the moment I will keep the business name under wraps to keep the mods happy. Kind regards Jack

  7. Hey mate! haha yes its been a long time hasnt it. Yes on all the company websites that make brakes that big they all state you need 18inch wheels to fit them but i think there just covering there own ass as i have seen on a few other fourms that people have done it with 17's but the range of 17inch wheels that would fit would be very small. i have spare 5 stud front hubs if you want to test fit them haha. What breaks do you have?
  8. Hello all, If anyone around the southern area or anywhere in adelaide has aftermarket 355mm rotors on the front of there R33 GTST or GTR, Im in the process of upgrading the fronts of my R33 and i want to keep the 17inch rims i already have, so what i would like to do is bring one of my rims to you and see if it fits over your rotor and caliper setup. The rims are old sparco racing rims, the meshie type so if anyone has done it with these kinds of rims already please reply here! Cheers, Jack
  9. Hello, Selling my old series one RB25DE as the car now has a 30DET. Engine had done about 170,xxxx when pulled out. In perfect runing condition, always serviced with good oils and filters for the almost 5 years i had it. The engine is a type S varient so it made a whopping 10hp more then the standard 25DE, Other then that its a completly stock engine minus the alternator and power steering pump and bracket and a few bolts on the top of the plenum that we pinched for the new motor. Exhaust manifold is still on the engine. Also still have the center section of the 2.75 inch exhaust that was on it with a redback cat still on it. Looking for $650 for the complete engine but am open to reasonable offers! Also selling the standard 25DE air box - Make an offer R33 series one auto gearbox + mount - Make an offer R33 auto brake pedal - Make an offer WIll add pictures and a couple more items soon. Cheers, Jack
  10. There is no polarity. Injectors are essentially a small solenoid so it doesnt matter which way you wire them.
  11. I would be keen on a new strip or the whole thing new in CF. ether or really. I need to go into nissan to pick up some other parts i ordered so ill find out a price on the whole thing new from nissan haha...
  12. Any one take any decent photots? Mine was in the show but i forgot my camera and only had my phone with a 1.3 MP camera =/ saw lots of people with fancy looking cameras taking photos of it but havnt seen any show up yet.
  13. Spool rods ACL forgies 272 ,9mm lift cams ferrera valve springs 1mm oversize exhaust valves ported head 6 boost mani greddy plenum ross ballancer and everything else you do to make an engine like this reliable It made 220rwkw and 400nm of tourqe at 5000 rpm running just the 7psi wastegate spring (no boost controller) starts making boost at 2000 rpm. This was for run in, The tune is pritty rich too so if i wanted it it would probly be able to get another 20kw or so out of it and still be a nice and safe tune. The thing pulls like a train even when only reving it to 4500rpm (this is the limiter for run in) so im not even using the turbo in its efficiency range yet.
  14. There have been a few people that have cracked 400rwkw with the 82 rear. check out this thread. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/251820-got-over-400kw-atw/ My setup is aimed at 400rwkw and im running the 82 rear.
  15. My low mount 6boost manifold comes extremely close to the rocker covers and mine are painted in two pack paint and the mani is ceramic coated and i havnt had any issues with the paint so far. Im only running a single 35/40 though. The best thing you will get out of these manifolds is the noise haha! oh and the performance gain of course.
  16. UPDATE: I found if you turn the car over and just before it starts turn the key back to the off position the ignition wont stay on. During cranking with a stuffed battery the voltage would obveiously drop alot and it would strugle to turn over, when this happend the tacho sweep and fuel pumps started priming as normal but when a fully charged battery is used they dont work. Jack
  17. You will need a S13 silvia throttle cable as the R33 one isnt long enough and once fitted sits on too much of an angle. I bought a 80mm throttle body from a ebay store for my 25/30 ( im also runing the Greddy manifold) and insted of welding the spacer to the plenum that came with it i had the throttle body bolt holes re drilled so it would bolt right onto the plenum( the bolt hoels were only about 2mm out anyway. I also had a gouge machined out on the face of the throttle body to hold a O ring so it seals up against the plenum nicely and wont leak. Another issue with the ebay throttle bodys is the spindle that inserts into the TPS is too small and has alot of free play so you dont get an accurate reading from the TPS so you have to have the spindle built up with small welds then sanded to fit inside the TPS snugly. The series one TPS is spindle driven and has one plug fixed to the side of it with another on a 5cm fly lead coming out of it. Series two TPS have two plugs fixed to the plastic body of the TPS and the way they mount to the throttle body is different ( When i bought my Greddy manifold it had a R34 TPS on it and its completly different to the series one R33 unit. I think the R33 series two TPS is the same as the R34 one. Also the pin out on the series one and two TPS is different so they are not plug and play but can be rewired to work. Save yourself the hasle and just get the TPS which suits your engine loom.
  18. Hello, The firmware version is the current 4.7.1 I havn't updated it, its as it came from vipec. Cheers, Jack
  19. I will check first thing in the morning. Cheers, Jack
  20. Hello, Car: R33 ECU: Vipec V44 PNP Having a few issues with a Vipec ECU, The ECU isnt priming the fuel pump when ignition is switched on ( Using standard pump as a lift pump into a surge tank thats runing a bosch 044 ) The 044 is switched through its own relay that uses the trigger wire to the standard fuel pump as the trigger for the relay powering the 044. No problem here as with the stock ecu pluged in it primes no problem. So back to the vipec ecu, Once you start cranking the engine after about 1 seccond the fuel pumps start working and then it will fire about 5 secconds later, I have been through every dam setting in the vipec software and no matter what i change nothing makes them prime at ignition on. Under the aux 6 output that is titles "fuel pump" the settings show the usial high and low polarity (set to low, when set to high the fuel pumps will run all the time) originally the prime time box was not there at all but when i turned the fuel pump setting off completly then turned it on again it had the prime time setting there which was set to the standard 3 secconds. after that was there F4 to save settings turn off......switch to ignition and nothing, connect to ecu to check settings, settings are still how i stored them but still no priming. Another issue is the tacho sweep function, its set to tacho sweep on yet does not work no matter what i do ether. Also if i turn to ignition on then turn off again the ignition will not turn off even when the key is completly removed from the ignition. The only way to get the ignition to turn off is to start the car then shut it down again. I think this may be being caused by something that i need to look into and is not linked to the other issues im having. This is the seccond vipec ecu im on at the moment as the first one had a defective power supply and after runing for a while on the dyno it was shut down then when tried to restart nothing. car was completly dead however when the first vipec was installed the tacho sweep worked and fuel pumps primed. So does anyone have any knowledge on other settings somewhere else that may be stopping these functions from working? Cheers, Jack
  21. Thank you for all your advice. If i can i want a single intank pump and thats it, Its not an option to put a swirl pot in the boot, however may be an option if any one makes one to bolt under the car near the tank somewhere. Ill be looking into the nismo pump first though. Ill have a look into the injector dynamics and nismo injectors too cheers, Jack
  22. Hello all, It has come time to work out the fuel and ECU requirments for my 30DET. Its a built 30 with oversized valves and a port job with a 35/40 straped on the side etc etc, I have had a search around and cant find and defenant answer to my questions. Im looking for a single intank fuel pump to support upto 600hp at the rear wheels in a R33 gtst. The engine and turbo combo wont make much over 400kw at the rears if that but it would be nice to have abit of head room with the pump. I have looked into the bosch 044 but have read about a few other people making 350 - 400kw at the rears and pushing the pump to its limits but have also read about other people running almost the same setup as mine and not having a problem making that sort of power. Onto injectors, Has anyone had any experiences with Siemens Deka 850cc injectors? Im also looking for an ECU to run the thing, I have been looking at the Power FC but am open to whatever you guys have had experience with and recomend. It needs to run the 30DET that will have a front mount, large injectors, big turbo, big cams (no VCT) Budget? There is no budget at the moment so please list anything and everything you recomend =) Cheers, Jack
