  1. Ali -can you provide an original link for that (ie: not a skyline enthusiast link)? Jeremy Clarkson's (top gear) top 100 cars is a great vid. The GTR is in the top 10. But it's pipped by a porsche (GT2), and, indeed, the E-type jag, as the best car of all time. Of course, like anything, 'we all have our own opinions'
  2. my magna was a project car for whiteline - they got konis specially made to suit. Interestingly, these same shocks later became a factory item on the ralliart magna.
  3. rb26dett: Mspeed r34 GTR vs Jun Evo (V? I think). There's less than .5 sec between them (last time I checked). Not sure, as I haven't bought option magazine in a few months - much prefer option 2 these days. The mines 34 was in the top 12 though.
  4. Take a look in the engine bay of CAS' MRDMG (spl?) - there's a good example of a 'race/drag' honda engine (a lot of the work done in the US too). 'Race engine' is such vague terminology - could just mean that the engine has been race prepped. Doesn't mean that it is a type 'x' engine. from your description, sounds dodgy.
  5. sorry, I somehow missed the second page. Some good points raised by all. I think using JGTC as a comparo is a bit problematic - it's like saying 'my holden is better than your ford because holden just won bathurst'. I think we all know how different the track and street realities are there. What about Tsukuba time trials? - the benchmark used by most street tuners in Japan. If you've seen Best Motoring videos - that's where the final shootouts are usually held. And who is currently winning that? answer = evo. But who is a bee's dick behind = r34 GTR.
  6. EVOs are in the GTR league (ie: top shelf), not GTST standard (not offence to GTST owners). But, that's stocks for stock - once you start modifying, the rules go out the window. The GTST has more straight-line potential, but will never be the allround champ that the EVO is. But, as was noted above, they are different cars, in different classes, that are intended for different purposes.
  7. I have been thinking about adding this conversion to my 'to do' list - but this point (above) is putting me off. What are the options? are you restricted to one type of bulb? I don't want to get back to australia and find that I can't get replacements. Or find, 5 years later, that they're no longer made. Thoughts?
