  1. No expert on R34 GTR's, but any car that registers above half on the stock gauge isnt a good thing? Maybe your thermostat is stuck slightly closed, so when your in traffic its not quite opening enough for full flow. Id try that before doing anything too drastic. Flush the system, new thermo, some good coolant..
  2. I would seriously not enjoy being a passenger in that Unless my leg was wrapped in exhaust wrap 1st! LOL Great work! Love the manifold and custom exhaust.
  3. Its the same as Blitz and HKS spark plugs. They dont make them, they source them, slap their logo on it and onsell them. Id like to bet that they dont make their own silicon hoses too.. see what im getting at? And as above, Denso make great products. I recall pulling to pieces my old ITR when i 1st got it, half the stuff that came out had Denso on it, plugs, radiator etc etc. They make alot of OEM stuff, so it has to be fairly decent right?
  4. Its a S2. In regards to the catch can, seems fine to me. I have mine set up the same. PCV intact because blocking it caused blowby, Rocker covers vented to an atmo venting catch can, and the breather --> intake line blocked. Was told to use that by a very knowledgeable SAU member too.. Been fine for me. Looks like its still plumbed, but in the line that goes from exh. rocker cover to the intake i put a custom alloy bung where the brass restrictor was.
  5. I'd try another coil loom?
  6. Ahh i see but in factory form its a reso of sorts?
  7. As far as i was aware that bit that went into the guard doesnt go anywhere. A mate, who does post on here said when he removed his from his S3 R33 GTR, the other end isnt open. More like some sort of baffle. No air drawn at all.
  8. with 270rwkw you would expect so And yes, Trust PE2
  9. Its more or less the same as the HKS Hi Power, but has a larger center muffler. A mate of mine is using one on his R33, 270rwkw. Doesnt seem to hold it back at all.
  10. I havnt driven my 33 since May. Its so sad shes locked away for the winter. (only because im not in the country) Im dying to drive it.
  11. I just realised how incredibly difficult it is to try help with problems like this haha. Need to point and show! E-Info = If you do get it out, for goodness sakes be CAREFUL with the tension coil. That thing randomly popped off my regulator sitting on the floor and took a chunk out of my garage floor. If it doesnt hit anything on the way, it could cause serious damage to your head, or paint job/glass. LOL
  12. I replaced my motor recently. Best way is to undo everything so its not hooked up at all, then like you said, run the window untill you get clearance to remove whats left and re-assemble the motor correctly. I had an issue with mine that where the glass runs through the rubber by the mirror, there is a seam in the track. For some reason the seam split and caught the rubber/glass and popped and cracked all the plastic wheels in the track. Its not overly hard to take everything out. Just think about it and mark the adjustable areas if your unsure how they go back. But by the sounds of it, for some reason yours has either skipped the teeth somehow, or someone put it together wrong previously?
  13. Still hanging out for a driveby WOT and some idle revving
  14. http://performance-wise.com/page63.htm
  15. lol @ 409KW on a stock RB25! But even so... its an engine. It gets hot. Unless its sapping the performance its not actually bad to have a hot engine... If your really worried raise the rear of the bonnet, or get a vented bonnet.
  16. All it will be doing is running rich. And if you want to 'tune' the stock ecu you'd need a piggback like an SAFC or the likes. Work fine for stock turbo + bolt ons.
  17. Yeah thats all i found too. Im pretty sure it was a Stagea too, so that may narrow the search. I feel your pain I bought a Blitz LM, but i was lucky and got in before the crash so it was only a couple hundred more than it would have cost to get a JJR shipped to NZ. And you can understand why i spent the extra...
  18. Been searching for a thread for you with no luck, but someone here modded the snorkel to fit. You need to cut a section of it out where it fouls the pipe, and then plastic weld a piece back in to cover the hole. Shouldnt be overly difficult. That or splash out and get a Blitz LM or a JJR Stealth
  19. Some of the R33 rear's have an extended knob that you can poke through the parcel shelf too. That, of if you have Teins buy yourself a sexy as EDFC They are gold.
  20. I wondered this too. Its not easy to do by yourself, and keep the rpm at the level APEXi Suggest. Still havnt hooked mine up either.
  21. You may notice more lag, and probly not enough of a difference power wise to notice.
  22. Take it off and blow it out from the inside out. Could clean it with regular filter cleaners too. Then dry it and put back on. Done
  23. x2. ANd if you were going to spend 6k on it, id find a lower model D15B Civic, with at least an injected motor. So much cheaper. Drop in a B18CR with bolt ons. Some suspension and away you go... goodbye 180SX. This of course, depending on how quickly and how far you mod the 180... Can only do so much to the N/A. And as a side note, stock for stock a 96spec ITR is a fair bit quicker than an S14. Something to think about. Especially when the motor and box is dropped into a little EG.
  24. N/A Skylines with loud exhausts just dont do it for me, nor alot of people. It wont sound bad if you can find a decent exhaust setup, but if its loud, it will sound rude.
