  1. hi guys, besides the extra 2 doors and the different tail lights, what is the difference? Is it still the same body? how about weight? Do they way any more than the two doors? Is there any other differences like suspension or anyhting that would change the handling? Cheers guys.
  2. wow thnks for the quick replies guys. took the car for a test drive, and it felt pretty dmn quick! although i didnt get to go above 50 as there were no main roads and my mum was in the passenger seat lol. (had to have her there, shes financing a quarter of it). Anyway, i was wndering, past 50ks, does the car have considerably more grunt than going from 0 - 50. When does boost come on? Does it even come on before 50? cheers.
  3. Yeah but how do they compare performance wise? The car im looking at is about $5000 cheaper than the same year and condition but manual, and theres no way i can afford that atm (or for the next four or so years). basically what im asking is, is a auto gtst skyline a lot slower than a manual or not? i drive an AU Falcon auto atm, how would it compare to that? I dont mind driving an auto, just wanna know about performance. Oh, also, will i still get that nice pshhht between shifts with the auto? Cheers.
  4. Hi, can someone tell me the difference between an r33 gtst auto and manual performance wise. is the manual hugely faster or not really? do they both feel about the same in terms of acceleration? Cheers. oh, and how would an auto r33 gtst compare to say an r32 gtst manual and a manual vs commodore.

  6. Hig guys, not long ago i posted a thread asking the price of r32s. Ive decided to spend that little bit extra and get an r33 gtst cause the dont seem to be that much more expensive. I was thinking about $15000. Does this seem about right for a nice and clean r33 gtst with excellent paint, bodywork and mechanicals. I live in sa Thanks guys.

  8. the other car i drive is a ford au fairmont auto. this car feels pretty damn quick when you floor it. would i get the same sort of rush from a completely stock r32 gtst or is it out of the falcons league (being a 2002 model car)? also, does the stock bov in the gtst give off a nice loud pshhhht? thanks
  9. wow, and they're less than $1000. I got a cat back for my dads 86 NA supra (i drive it), and that didnt give much of a performance boost at all. whats the difference between cat back and turbo back?
  10. 15-20rwkw seems like an awful lot. thats approx 15-20% of stock performance. do skylines have really restrictive exhausts or something? 15-20 extra kw would be more than noticeable when driving wouldnt it?
  11. do you think a turbo back exhaust would give noticeable performance? do intercoolers give any extra performance or do they just allow for higher boost. cause i dont really wanna boost the turbo above stock. how about aftermarket bov's?

  13. Hi guys, ive been looking at getting a r32 gtst. I was looking at spending no more than $10K. Will i be able to get a good, clean car for this price? I live in SA btw. Also, many of my friends are vs commodore drivers and they keep telling me that an r32 gtst is much slower than a 6 cylinder commodore because the r32 has such a heavy body. Is this true? Are r32 turbos really that slow? Finally, if i spent about $1000 on basic performance upgrades, what should i buy and what kind of performance gain would i see? Thanks a lot. =)
