  3. In my experience i have found that dynos often tell lies. I beleive that it is only used for tunung and are very inconsistant in there power figures. I have an r33gtst with I/c, 14psi standard trbo, air filter, 3inch exh turbo back. 1st dyno run @ PET: 198RWKW(14psi) 2nd dyno run @ club Meet: 170rwkw(14psi) With these mods described above i ran a 13.8 1/4 mile. Then Installed Microtech plug in at PROMAZ Dyno run @ Promaz: 165RWKW Although the car is a lot quicker then what it was with previous dyno runs.(14psi) Hope that info can support why i think as i do about dyno power figures.
  4. i have the above if you still need it. I am in melbourne also. my number is 0409205306 Cheers Con

  6. Hey, does this include the price for purchasing the product. If so you are looking at $2000 for the plug in microtech for the R33. I have one of these and it works great. If you need some advise om me. I could also rfer you to the guys that did mine. (if your in melb). The LT-12 microtech is also cheaper but not the plug in version. Cheers.
  7. have a td-07 25G brand new. Might be interested in swapping. Could you give me some specs of the turbo. [email protected]
  8. Have a TRUST TD-07 25G tirbo for sale. The turbo is brand new and selling due to financial difficulties. Purchased from takakaira in japan. Cost me just under $5000 landed here in melbourne. The turbo has the 17cm exhaust housing and is rated at 700hp. price $3500ono (must sell)!!
  9. regap and clean your current plugs. I am using normal copper plugs BCP6's gapped at .7mm. Run 14psi wuth no bacfiring.
  10. thats the LT-16 that is going to be released soon.
  11. Thanks for ypu help steve. If anyone else knows anything about this turbo could you give me some advice and thoughts. Cheers
  12. Also i have seen plenty of second hand TD05 turbos off lancers going around. They seem pretty cheap so would it be possible to use the ex.housing of those?
  13. Thanks steve, Would it be possible to greate an adaptor plate to suit the bolt pattern of the torbo and the pattern of the manifold? Steve the turbo is Brand new and is extremely cheap to pass up the offer. I ahve an RB30 bottom end and plan to do the conversion in the future.
  14. I have found this turbo the 17cm one fora good price. I was thinking to put it on my RB25det. Would anybody hapen to know it uses the same bolt pattern to the standard exhaust manifold? Also i think that this turbo will be pretty laggy so i was wondering if it was possible to use a smaller trust exhaust comp. Maybe from a TD05 or a TD06 to bring boost on earlier. ould anyone know if these housings are interchangable or not and the difficulty/cost involved in doing something like this. Thanks Con
  15. An intercooler if air to air is theoretically 100% efficicient if it cools the passing air to AMBIENT air temperature. Im sure that you will find that the greater the difference in temperature between ambient and passing air the better the cooling. Although if the temperature difference is closer together the cooling will be less. This effect i am sure could be modelled by a logarithmic graph (ambient temp vs i/c coolonig rate). The point which i am making is that if the intercoolers temperature is the ambient temperature it is impossible for the air once passed through the i/c to be less than that temperature. I hope i made some sense. Although i am still a student im pretty sure that this is correct.
  16. I have the plug in microtech installed in my r33 for a couple of weeks now. I have had poor fuel consuption although installing an air temp sensor might help this problem. Also i am going back to set up the cruise mode properly to my driving conditions for max and safe fuel consumption. At the moment i have managed about 250kms out of a full tank and driving conservatively. Although idle is fine and the power curve seems smooth. The difference of an aftermarket ECU is defiately worth while in a performance point of view. I have noticed a good power gain all round.
  17. It depends on the tuner and how detailed the tune is. It comes down to what the hourly rate for the dyno is a the tunning shop. Im pretty keen on selling this unit so pm if you are still interested. Sorry about the delay in reply.
  18. sent you a pm about the head. Cheers Con
  19. I have 2 different part numbers from different places in melbourne for bilstein rear struts for an r33 gtst s1. 1, b46-1472 2, b46- 1916 could anyone varify the correct part nnumber. Also the koni shocks are similar in price. Are they any good. Cheers.
