  1. Would that cause the front diff to pack it in or was that just a matter of time?
  2. The car is at a workshop, they reckon they checked all fluid levels. Me thinks thats crap! I will go there and check myself
  3. Update. Broke front diff on the dyno We have a problem with power being delivered to the front 50:50 and cant change it no matter what we do, ie disconnect pump etc Feels as though it is mechanically locked in 4wd, at rest when the car is on stands you can roll the rear wheels and the fronts turn is this normal?
  4. New engine is in and getting dynoed atm. Going to sydney dragway for a couple of runs on Saturday at the Mighty Car Mods meet
  5. Thats a 1:08.00 according to the Qstars!! Its good for a 1:06 on new semis and with a properly working rear diff. Not bad for an unopened engine..
  6. Seriously get a haltech, had a vipec plug in in my gtr had problems with it and there was no one around to help! ie tech support.
  7. Took all the pipes off on the turbo side to find oil in them, Question: does this oil mean should be looking at the turbo seals? evidence of inline restrictor?, is it too much oil to be blow-by? The car was blowing smoke off throttle, we turned the boost down to 9psi and this reduced the smoke but if we revved to 7200 it would happen again off throttle. any thoughts?
  8. When we fix the diffs and the blow by issues we should shave another 2 -3 seconds off the best time, we had to run low boost (12psi) after the first session.
  9. Holden colorado rc 09 model lx duel cab, 3.0 turbo diesel It tows brilliantly, barely cog back to 3rd on the way down to wakie ! Fuel consumption normally 655km/62ltr, towing around 575km
  10. So $5300 for crank, bearings and bolts? Seems a bit steep!
