rb20-into-mr30=

any chance you have a g sensor?

Hey guys, I need some help... I need some info on the rb20det conversion into an mr30.. I need info with regards to the wiring needed to be done with the rb20det engine/ecu loom. also can anybody tell me what wires this plug goes to on the body side? my rb20 loom was modded to run ignition wires from here and the new mr30 has a slightly different plug with 1 less wire in it.... thanks

i spoke to the guy in s.a with this conversion, all that was needed was custom tailshaft, gearbox crossmember and engine to mounts were custom. I think he had standard engine mounts from the crossmember part. very easy from what i saw. I am doing this conversion myself on a r32 there is a place here in sa that makes mounts for ls1 conversions, he is on ebay. best bet would be mounts for the vl 6 cyl range. hope this helps

bugger all that! do what i'm doing and chuck an ls1 in your 32. much cheaper, lighter, just as powerful and you can be a trend setter, not a follower. besides that how much fun can you have with instant torque?

I found when i had mine with the rb20 it was like a lead tipped arrow. very hard to keep balanced and most of the time its ass would swing out way too far. problem is that the rb is very heavy on the front so you need a good suspension set up to make it handle best. I had stiff konis and kings in the rear but 90/10's on the front wich was half my problem. perfect for drags and high speed freeway but try and drift it and was usually 90 degrees+ to the footpath followed by slamming on the brakes. so the s13 coilover option with a proper spring rate will help you out.
