  1. The US is an entirely different culture and in some ways this is normal for them. Different strokes etc. I've been shooting with one of the guys in that thread and in no way is he insane or even out of the ordinary. Just a GT-R lover living in a gun loving society.
  2. Any interior shots? What suburb are you in?
  3. I have a pair of perfect condition R33 headlights I removed from my GT-R when I fitted series 3 xenons. Here's the thread where I was selling them with photos. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/342859-r33-gt-r-series-2-r33-gtst-series-1-headlights/ Cheers
  4. Do a little googling and stop being so defensive. Ask a stupid question get a stupid answer.
  5. It's a great base for a convertible conversion. Half the works already done.
  6. Youch looks kinda like a sardine can.
  7. Sorry to hear about that after all that effort and time gone into it. Good to see you'll end up with a 2010 to replace it though.
  8. Selling my Series 2 GT-R headlights which I believe also fit series 1 GTR, series 1 GTSt and series 1.5 GTSt. They were pulled off my car a couple of years back when I fitted series 3 xenon headlights. They are in great condition with NO fogging, NO yellowing, and NO cracks. All the brackets are there in perfect working order as these were removed from a no accident car. The only thing is the headlight electrical plug. You will need to remove the plug surround from your old headlight and insert the pins from mine into your plug. This does not require soldering it just requires a fine needle point tool to get the pins out of your headlight plug. (I did this when I swapped these off my car because series 3 lights have a different electrical plug shape.) Asking $300 for the pair. Price: $300 for both Location: North Ryde NSW Contact: [email protected] or PM On forums Shipping: These are bulky, would probably be costly to ship so prefer pickup. 9. I had this Kakimoto system on my own GT-R for some time and chose it for it's excellent quality and ability to keep noise in check. Truth is though I drive my R33 so little I can afford to have it obnoxiously loud so I've switched out to a ridiculously loud Apexi system now. This system is, as you can see, still as shiny looking as the day I bolted it up. New price is $1100 + shipping for this but I am only after $700 for mine. SOLD! 10. 7:20 rumor was started but was found to be based on the GT-R website being mistranslated. It was actually saying "in the 7:20's" as in 7:20.00 to 7:29.99 Later the wet track laptime was found to be 7:24 with no dry track time being published yet.
  11. I've got a stock plenum and a nismo badge too. Only $600 for mine!
  12. Option 5. Contact a solicitor, do not ask internet for help, get off fine completely.
  13. Well a 19" R888 is not really designed for a big fat R35 GT-R and will roll over on the sidewalls pretty quickly and very much underperform compared to a standard 20" runflat Dunlop. What do your tires look like after the track day?
  14. Congrats on the purchase. for those wanting to know, the 2011 GTR is still a ways off but will have 15-30hp more, revised aero for more downforce, revised front bar, revised rear diffuser, tweaked suspension. There will be (in Japan at least) another trim level above Premium with many options available such as the ability to option interior colours (not just black or white) and even option on parts from the SpecV range. It will not be called the SpecM as previously thought it has not been given a name yet. The SpecV goes away next year as it becomes obsolete with all the changes in the base GT-R, and it's possible that the base 2011 GT-R will gain the power upgrade by making the 2010 SpecV turbos standard across the range.
  15. See you guys there in the morning session. Fun day ahead. As for eastern creek, Nissan did one at Eastern Creek for the GT-R launch. It was a great day out but media only. This Phillip Island one will be even better with Mizuno-san attending so southerners are getting it good.
  16. The 40th anniversary Type-M was available as pictured above with a GT-R esque aero kit in a package called the Type-MR. It's very nice in the flesh. It's also badged 40th anniversary on the C-pillar and seats and is available in a special midnight purple colour as well. I have a dealership brochure for the Type-MR lying around somewhere at home.
  17. The assembly line has very little to do with the car's design or engineering. A vehicle goes from car parts to completed vehicle on that assembly line in a handful of minutes. The decision to build the car at Tochigi was logical really as Tochigi plant builds all of Nissan's build-to-order vehicles such as the high end Infinitis for the US market. Pre-assembly there are so many other processes and design aspects that make the R35 worlds apart from other Nissan offerings. From the unique, hand assembled VR38 to the PM rear transaxle layout it is a unique car. Will some do dads from other cars be identical yes, for example the paddle shifters in the FX50 come from the GT-R but it's no 370z with a different badge. As for the R36, Mizuno has stated publicly that the R36 is not even in design phase yet, his goal was to was to give the R35 three years in the market before they even began the decision making process on the next step. He has re-stated that the Porsche 911 is still the benchmark for performance and that is what it will be aimed at if it comes to fruition. There are some speculation that the technology in the Infiniti Essence concept will be cherry picked for the R36 but no confirmation that.
  18. I don't have a problem with issuing warnings over having this kind of attitude on the forums. So please be a little less hostile here or you may find your stay short.
  19. Transmission was rebuilt by Shep trans with a few key points upgraded. Clutches are 100% stock though. Trans fluid is Aussie made Willall Victory Spec WR35TMVS stuff.
  20. All you need to do is look at the NAGTROC forums at the Hennessey GT-R thread. The GT-Rs they've built are being booked back into other workshops to have the jobs done properly.
  21. Put it up on NAGTROC mate, probably get someone from the middle east interested there.
  22. You can take over a lease. $70k may have been his initial deposit.
  23. Yep. I don't blame Nissan for refusing to plaster XXXX logo's on the GT-R.
  24. http://gt-rr.com/gt-r/r35/jun/part/cylinde..._coated/pid/820 Give GT-RR a call, they can get the kits and also have a direct line to JUN to get the tech specs.
