  1. I sold my R34 Sedan a while back now, and I still have the Window Gaurds (I don't know what they're called but they enable you to wind the windows down a bit to let air in when it rains - you know what I mean!) A couple of them have the mounting grommets snapped of but they can be plastic welded back on if you're good with that sort of thing (I'm not). I just want them gone because, like I said, I ain't got no '34 to put 'em on anymore! So let me know if you're interested in them, because as far as I know these things are hard to come by... Send me a PM and let me know if you're interested. Pictures shows what I mean...The plastic trim pieces above the windows
  2. Wanting to know if anyone has one of these that they're selling. I got a quote at the local nissan dealer for it, but wanted to see if anyone has one for a better price. Its the cage that goes over the front of the fan, and mine is missing the lower bracket, so I need a new one.
  3. Hi there. I installed a subwoofer in my car using an RCA converter I purchased from WOW sight and sound. I grafted the RCA converter up to the rear speaker wires (like it said to in the instructions) and then the RCA leads from the converter and into the amplifier (im using a 4 channel amp to power my sub btw if that makes any difference). I've switched the amp to use the LPF (Low Pass Filter) setting on the rear channel and have put the gain and LPF knobs to half way and the bass setting to 2 (out of a possible 5) on the stock headunit. The problem is that whenever I have any sort of punchy bass the subwoofer doesn't kick, it vibrates or fuzzes instead. What have I done wrong and what can I do to fix it? Im hoping all it is, is that I need a new sub coz the coil might be stuffed or something...idk. I just want to have a good amount of bass! I've tried setting the LPF switch to -12, -6 and 0db settings and the fuzz is still there regardless. So yeah. Pleeeeaaaasssee help me!
  4. I am over the CD player Xanavi TV I have in the dash right now. I want to have GPS sitting up here instead, but I would rather have it looking good, so I thought why not see if anyone's wrecking an R34 GTR and selling centre console parts that will fit in other 34s. So Basically all I need the the Housing that sits on the top of the centre console where the GTR TV goes that monitors the cars systems. Only thing is I don't want to get the TV with it, I just want to get the whole housing piece, then modify it so I can place a GPS Screen in it instead, so it looks stock, so when I upgrade my stereo I don't have a screen in the top doing nothing, and I won't get lost when I am in brisbane driving around the city at night - happened to me last saturday and I hated it... So yeah, does anyone know where I could get this item?
  5. Nah haven't met too many Japanese poeple. But man I went to brisbane on friday and there are heaps of hot Japanese chicks in the city! lol. Thanks for the heads up about the other two questions...That'll put that concern to rest.
  6. What puzzles me is the CD player screen is in english, yet every other function screen in the system has Japanese writing??? Why is this? and...can I reprogram it myself? Is there a hidden menu somewhere, that you need a special button sequence to unlock or something?
  7. You got a blue dash and centre console lights do ya wisey? If so that's exactly what I am going for eventually...thanks for the shots too, I can use 'em as reference for the 34 I am modelling in 3D.
  8. It'll be a bit of a pain, because you'll need to take out the dash and the centre console to get to the bulbs. I have two lights on my A/C controls (the direct/recirculation buttons don't light up anymore) and I think some of the bulbs may have gone pop, so I gotta take mine out again and go to an auto electronics shop to get some like them, or even find some the same that are blue instead, as I'd love to have all blue lights in my dash and centre console. Best thing you can do is provide pictures of your console setup and we could help you out some more mate
  9. Here's my dilema - a stupid one at that too. I spent yesterday afternoon after painting all the plastics for my centre console, checking all the little lights that provide luminance to the buttons for all the centre console items. But I didn't have the engine running when I was switching the lights on and off to see if all the console lights worked and now my battery is dead because I got outside this morning and went to see if it started and all I got was that really bad tick!-tick!-tick!-tick!-tick!-tick!-tick!-tick! = No CCAs (Cold Cranking Amps) in the battery. I never thought I'd have this problem. I don't have a battery charger at the moment as I have lended it to a friend, and they're on holidays on the gold coast. I am beginning to think my cars battery isn't up to the task, but also I have Xenon headlights, which love to suck the life out of everything that supplies power. So now I am asking anybody who has a clue: > Can you jump start an Automatic? > If so what do I do to do it? > Is placing the shifter in Neutral the best way to do it? > Should I just go and get a Diesil Battery, which have stupidly high CCAs in them. I'll check back this arvo and if no-ones replied I think I'll just go and get a new battery just to be sure. I seriously didn't think that Xenons would drain the battery that fast aye.
  10. OK, finished the CD, Aircon and Tape Deck Facia Pieces. I also re-did the Vents as that was a shitty job and I hated myself for doing it so quickly just so I could get it into the car again. So, here's a pic of the console and one of the drivers window control surround. Oh, and when I put the Aircon Unit back in, and hooked all the wires for everything back up, I noticed that the buttons on the aircon unit for Fan Speed (up and down), Mode, A/C, Auto, Off and Direct/Re-circulate didn't come on when I turned the headlights on. I tried tapping on the panel, and all the lights bar the ones behind the Direct/Recirulate buttons are now working, but this has never happened before. I checked the lights last night, but I think I may be in need of replacing the LEDs that are in the back of the A/C control unit.
  11. Looks great NZMO. In fact all of the ppl that've done this to their consoles have done a good job. I am right in the middle of doing my centre console and window controls in Powerplus Metallic Cyan Blue...or whatever it's called. Looks great to me...Should have photos of the whole thing when I get it all back together tomorrow. I tell you what though! It is a mission to get the CD, Aircon and Tape Deck facia pieces off! So many screws on the CD player it's nuts, but I made sure to put all the screws into the facia backing so I don't lose any. Now I know how to do this I think I'll write a guide on it so other poeple can do it. unless this has been done before.
  12. Went to the Powerplay Imports website and had a look at what they had in terms of what I was after, and they have the dash from the 34 GTR and also the triple gauge cluster, which I am also after, but bloody hell if I'm gonna pay 400 smakers for a triple gauge cluster when I could get one from here for half that.
  13. Man 34s are staunch enough without 'em, but they just make it so much better! Should get myself a copy in the same colour as my car, they'd look mad.
  14. Thought so. Oh well, guess I'll have to get a GTR dash if possible, and get charged through the pooper for it as it a genuine GTR item.
  15. Claying is used by detailers to remove anything rough and potentially damaging to the paint. Basically picks up anything that wouldn't be removed by normal washing alone, so if you don't want to be constantly lightly scratching your paint work by washing your car, rinse it, clay it, then wash it and the paint will feel like new. Hope I helped.
  16. I've seen a few pictures on ebay when looking at new LED dash lights for my 34 dash. In the pictures depicting what the lights look like, there's an R34 dash with the brushed steel/aluminium trim that surrounds all the gauges, and I would really like to know if I could get one of those trims for my dash or do I have to get a whole new dash with the trim already in it?

    3d Art

Wow there's some talent here! I do 3D work with 3DS Max and just starting to get into VRay rendering now and I am working on an R34 GTR at the moment...Here's some shots of what it looks like so far. wanting to do the interior in this once I get all the outside lines perfected and proper looking...This is the biggest 3D project I've undertaken myself since I made my Laser back in '07...Speaking of which, here's a shot of the best version of that too... The laser took me ages as I'd never really persued a 3D project much and most of my previous stuff was just dodgy geometry like car engine animations and crappy static renders. Now I got a AMD Quad system I can work so much faster, and I've already had requests from mates to do all their cars, so I must be onto a good thing with this 3D stuff...
  18. Still though, you gotta admit this stuff is cool...I never thought there was such a huge fan base for this stuff...I mean, I do 3D stuff, but never really thought about doing this sort of art.
  19. Might sound like a silly Q, but is the strut brace a rear strut brace or front one? I need a rear one for my 34 taxi
  20. Good ol' trade job... lol I've seen a couple of shots of the triple gauges in the thread where poeple have repainted the centre console plastics, and I am definitly wanting the gauges in mine! Even if mine isn't turbo (yet), I still want to see what my engine's doing. When I get them I am painting my console and window controls in silver, as I've seen someone do theirs in silver and it looks awesome...Silver accents the shapes and lines so well and you could get away with murder on it.
  21. +1 on what on ducki said, and thanks for the heads up in what involved. I really want a better stereo system in my car, and if that means pissing off the screen on the dash and maybe even investing in the triple gauge cluster - for a possible turbo conversion later down the track - then I would like to know the info on what it costs and what I need to get as much as I can.
  22. OK, my car is an R34 GT and the centre console arragement is completely different to what I want it to be - check the pic below. Where the CD player is, some people have the A/C controls in their R34, in that place instead. I want to see if anyone knows where I could get that version of the controls from for a good price, because I want to get a Double-Din Headunit for my car because the stock CD player has stopped working again and I am over it!
  23. That's pretty nice man . Good to see it's manual - I got a 4 door sedan (taxi), which I wanna convert to manual some day, maybe even to RB25DE+T too. A Pod filter will make a difference so that's a good place to start...other mods like redoing the interior??? How brave do you feel??? I'd personally like the colour of my centre console changed to something darker... Dunno man, just have a good look through the car at things you'd like to change.
  24. Had a feeling it'd be having to do that...Bugger. Guess I'll just have to get a single DIN H/Unit and getthe Screen flashed or something...Oh well.
  25. OK, so here's a pic of my centre console What I would like to do, is move the Aircon controls up to right under the air vents, so as to have space for a full double-din head unit, or even two single-din headunits (1 CD and 1 EQ headunit - both pioneer). If I get an aftermarket headunit/s then I will be taking the screen on top of the dash out as well, and replacing it with a 3 gauge cluster, even if some of the gauges don't have function with the N/A NEO engine. I won't have a use for the screen unless I can rig it up for GPS or something and just have it sitting in it's operating postion permanantly instead of it retracting when I switch the car off. Anyone?
