  2. Light cruising. So just like taking off at lights and just switching gears in proper cruise mode. At full boost it doesnt do that. Doesnt run much timing from base. like 17-18 i think but otherwise nah just light cruising. Its fkd. Makes the car shitty to drive coz of it and the fuel econo sucks big time. Ive asked the tuners and they were like thats just how it is. Pretty sure its not how it is. Running 98, highest knock value while cruising is around 4. on boost its about 20-30. Seems real conservative. Also no bov, no leaks that i can find. Tuners either. Wil be going to a new tuner though to check out the map and see whats up with the boost. It shouldnt be maxing the afm while making no power. Makes no sense.
  3. I just want it to not drop timing just coz i shifted a gear. Who wants it at 8 degrees then instantly jumping into the mid 30s?? makes the car unresponsive for that split second and it gets annoying. If its normal then no worries but ive never driven a car that does that, and ive had a shit load of em so far... I found this to be quite unusual. The car also maxes out the afm at high boost.. but without the power to back it up lol 5.1v on z32.. with only 280rwkw.. i feel like something isnt quite right with the whole thing.
  4. Issue with tune So for a while ive noticed a lag in the motors response after changing gears and i started watching the hand controller to see whats up. I noticed that the timing drops out significantly before going back. Like im talking it sits around mid high 30s then ill shift gears and accelerate like normal and itll start in the high 20s then drop to like 13degs.. sometimes 8 then instantly back up to 33+. I want to know why? how do i fix this? why the hell is it even doing that in the first place??

Rebuilt stock Rb25DET Kinugawa T67 25G 8cm, Turbosmart 45 gate 600x300x100mm cooler (cant remember brand) with custom piping. 740cc nismo injectors, walbro 400 fuel pump Apexi power fc 5zigen exhaust, custom dump Stock intake/exhaust manifolds Its insanely responsive as you can see.. 177-179rwkw by 4k.. then around 220rwkw an extra 500rpm later.. pulls like a freight train!
  7. Going slower isnt an upgrade at all. Its a downgrade. The R34 is a literal downgrade to a 33. But Paul walker, F&F cult hero status is probably the best answer to why its so expensive.
  8. The r33 was raced.. the r34 was literally a playstation car. Massive improvements made of the 32 because it was still heavily into motorsport whereas the r34 was not. Wasnt at lemans and the only place it did see the track was JGTC.. where it wasnt really a gtr anyway.. I guess they didnt see it needed improvements. As for tyres, they were on OEM tyres and newer tyres just keep getting better and better so the R34 wouldve had better tyres. As i was saying, ill never understand the price tag on the shittest GTR ever built..
  9. From the track books? R34 GTR Nur edition ran 8:28 seconds around the ring.. the R32 ran 8:21 secs. The standard are R33 ran 8:01 while the Vspec model ran 7:59 (29 seconds faster). First R35 ran 7:43 with all that new technology, better tyres, double the power just about and 10 years development from the last 33.. Pretty poor effort. 33 remains fastest skyline around the ring and currently holds the fastest drag record too of 7.10 sec 1/4 from a gtst haha

  11. Ive got 4.11s in the 33.. makes 265rwkw and i feel something taller would be nice for highway.. having it sit around 2500 would be better than almost 3k..
  12. I just got a 33.. but because performance. The chassis is better than all the other skylines. the R33 GTR is actually the fastest skyline around the ring.. by 21 secs from R32.. and 28 secs from R34.. The Gtst models are about 40-50kgs heavier than a 32.. big deal. The 34 is heavier again.. Brakes are phenomenal, They look better than 34s, turn better, go faster with less power but can make plenty of power. Im running a T67 25g 8cm and its on fullboost by 3k (14psi) and makes 265rwkw on a safe tune. Going tuners next wednesday with ebc install as well. should make over 300rwkw. Currently runs 255 semis on the rear and theres nothing but traction. Doesnt spin up at all. Good chassis. Good brakes, good power. Interior is very comfy, could drive it all day without killing your back, rb25 sounds great too. What else can i say about it? haha
  13. Could be as simple as timing goes off.. Maybe it knocks and the timing gets retarded massively.. causing spooling noises but no performance.. I have seen that too many times than i can count.. take it back to the tuners. Could be a number of things. They'll find the issue

  19. ive got my gtr for sale which is extensively modified. mods follow as below step 2 HKS pistons oversized to 87mm Eagle rods blueprinted and balanced crank.. 10k safe redline step2 HKS cams 272deg 10.4lift both inlet and exhaust machined valleys to fit cams, exhaust and inlet ported and polished and enlarged. HKS valve springs and retainers HKS cam gears and belt modified standard oil pump for more flow and pressure oil galleries modified in the head trust sump extension.. now holds 7.5lts of 300V all gaskets including headgasket lifted from the nismo race car.. fkn expensive!!! block bored to 87mm cap up from 2568 to 2650 roughly stock exhaust manifolds ported and enlarged to suit a pair of GT2871r -10s really f**king quick... custom Jim berry clutch full monty... cost too much but best clutch ever.. easy to use and no slip at all.. built to withstand 800kw according to the man himself aftermarket dump pipes.. unsure of brand.. possibly xforce.. full 4" exhaust cat back.. also comes with stock exhaust for epa purposes exterior clean and stock.. originals and black metallic paint job has slotted rotors and new bendix ultimate pads Apexi N1 racing suspension Greddy strut brace interior clean except for a bubble on the passenger side dash.. seats and carpet in excellent condition. no wear marks at all because i dont even drive it. roof lining perfect has jvc dvd player, Gizzmo EBC, autometer ultra lite series gauges.. boost, oil pressure and a/f meter standard GTR steering wheel unmarked car is running 300V chrono in the motor and gear ff Comp type 2 in the 2 diffs and gearbox.. new fluid in transfer case Engine has approximately 99xkm on it.. i ran it in and that was it... No rwc but with 12month rego august 13th 2010 looking for 25k firm.. spent alot more then that but im in the shit and it needs to go asap.. ive got 1 week to get rid of it and find somewhere to live Thanks guys p.s will get photos up tonight including photos of the reciepts for the engine
