  1. Lots of interesting comments floating around. My big confusion is that in the past I have had street cars that were ideal track cars but I never honestly got to experience their true potential so now I questioning what purpose fits my next vehicle: Camaro - sort of a big boaty cruise M3 - a prestige with a bit of sport GTR - -a track car that I'd drive on the street with the thought of one day tracking even though it may never happen Porsche - probably an ideal 'poser' car M5 V10 - a V10...maybe the only time I'd get to own such an engine You can see my weird thoughts, but after owning a 32,33 and 2 34 GTR's, everyone expects a 35 to be my natural progression
  2. They are in the same list, but for different reasons. I am starting to see a couple of GT-R's drop almost below 100k now...very tempting
  3. Out of curiosity...what is the reason ferraris are cheap?
  4. Any progress on this..my thoughts of cars are similar, also 2010 Dodge Challenger and 2006 M5
  5. Dash and gear knob gone...anyone want anything else?
  6. I had a 32 GTR, 33 GTR,34GTR Vspec, E46 M3 and 34 Vspec II and the one thing that changes as you age (I'm late 30's now) is the want to get out of the Boy racer image and go prestige but keep the boy racer spirit. I think your comments on the E46 M3 are right and it scarily depreciated but I do miss it and am interested in a V8 one maybe not for the outright power but just because it ticks all the boxes. Tough sounds good well made 'grown up' drives well leather That said a 35 is a 'grown up' boy racer to me and it a different category to my 34.

  8. A bit off track but another car that I have been considering is quite weird. a 2010 2RS Camaro..companies here are selling for $145k. They are actually about $30k to buy but add everything and it gets up there. Scarily the RHD conversion is worth more than the car. v8 M3's are starting to hit 70k and 35's are getting so close to what a Vspec 2 34 is worth that I can't believe it. I'm lookin for that bargain but haven't jumped on one yet.
  9. Tested Power FC and hand controller to suit 34 GTR. I never got around to going somewhere to get it tuned so it just has the base map. Good Condition. Located Yeppoon QLD $1000 ono

  11. I have driven them all and owned most of them and I can't deny that a 35 is phenomally different to the point that I would call the 35 a super car, I just am not sure if I can live with that much tied up in a car if they have devalued over 70k in 2 years. I got rid of my 34 as the offer was right and I just felt like a change.
  12. Guys I am toying with a few ideas and as I have had a 32 GTR,33 GTR Vspec,34 Vspec and a 34 V spec II well you can guess what I am considering next. I'm more concerned that as I get older and the fact there are no tracks around, if a 35 is the way to go. I have got insurance quotes that are livable but it seems tyres are dear and oils are dear, is there other costs to account for? What is servicing like? I am also considering a 2008 M3, a 2006 M5 2010 Camaro or even going completely off track and try to find something along the lines of a 69 Camaro with LS1, AC, power steering and possibly modern brakes and suspension as more of a cruiser. I'm just confused, but looking that the current tradein value of a 09 GTR is 90k from 155k new...that's scary.
