  1. Price drop: $9,000 negotiable. It's only worth what people will pay, so I've made an estimate based on the quality of this one compared to others for sale. Open to reasonable offers though, so come take a look if you're interested. Dyno sheet if anyone's interested...
  2. Update: - 4x Brand new Falken ZE-522 tyres fitted - Minor service completed including oil, oil filter, brake fluid, and brand new Horsepower HDB1170 front pads. Don't be shy folks, price is negotiable
  3. Hi folks, my S13 is up for sale. I've written everything I know about the car, so please read this before asking questions. I'm located in Sydney - Inner West. PM me or call 0412 509 637 to arrange an inspection. First up, the car is a re-shell. Don't worry, you wouldn't be able to tell if I hadn't mentioned it, but I think it's important to share the full story: I crashed a different S13 at the track in April 2010. My trusted mechanic had a straight rolling shell available, so I bought that and he went through the job of transferring everything we could to the new shell. Some stuff was thrown out, but every single part was inspected, and everything that's on this car is in working order. I've been driving the car around for 18 months without an issue. The car is fully registered, and I also have an engineering certificate for all the mods which I'll provide to the buyer. So in short, it drives like any other S13 but I wanted to be transparent about it's history while I've owned it. Since I've owned it, it's been serviced every 5000K's, and I have a record of every dollar spent on the car. I also have a detailed record of work carried out by previous owners. The exterior is in good nick: car has a couple of small dings and scratches in the paint, but is generally very tidy. The bodywork is standard and unmolested – no kits or anything like that. Interior wise, there's a crack in the dash, and tear in the driver's seat. The stereo install is neat, the electric mirrors, windows, etc all work fine. It's got a bunch of quality mods (see below), all installed by a professional. There's really not a lot left to do to this car – maybe change the seats to S15 or something aftermarket, change the wheels to something different, and go for it. It's well sorted and ready to just drive! I'm looking for $9,500, negotiable. I also have a Momo T wing mounted on a reinforced boot lid (see pic) and a number of spares – standard rear arms, standard radiator, driver's side door, rear and side glass. If you offer a reasonable price, you'll be welcome to all of it. Sorry for the long ad, but I wanted to share everything I know about the car. Thanks for looking. - Leif Here are the full details of the car: Year: 1992 Colour: Silver/grey two tone 5sp Manual ~185,xxx k's on odometer Engine SR20DET non-vct blacktop from a 1997 180sx Pod with aluminium enclosure, Z32 AFM R33 GTR intercooler 3" exhaust from turbo back 52mm alloy radiator Alloy rad overflow reservoir to replace the crappy standard cracked one Oil cooler with oil filter relocation kit Walbro fuel pump Garrett GT2871R turbo - 48trim, 0.64 rear housing, so slightly bigger than a disco potato. 10. Hi folks, I've got a few items up for sale. I'm located Sydney, Inner West. My contact number is 0412 509 637. PM me or give me a call. Cheers! 1. R32 GTR rims with Yokohama A048R semi slicks - 5x114.3 pcd, 16*8+30. Great fit on S13, R32 Gts-t. Obviously fits other skylines also. - 3 rims are in very good condition (keeping in mind they're 20 years old). One has gutter rash - see pics below. - all rims have centre caps - Tyres are Yokohama A048R semi slicks. MH compound. They're 225/50/R16's. They've seen 4 track days, still tons of tread left. $600 2. Sabelt 4pt harness in good nick. Has everything you need to bolt straight in. $100 3. If you're doing skids or trackdays, a great upgrade over the standard seat, and very safe. $200 or, buy the harness too and i'll give you both for $250
  11. Targa Tasmania coverage on 7mate at 3:30pm this arvo.

  14. Apparently it blew a gearbox in testing yesterday and they'll be ready to go again later today/tomorrow...
  15. Mark, thanks for posting. You're absolutely flying! S13 represent Are you taking turn two and nine in 3rd gear? Is that to make the throttle control easier on corner exit? Have you found it faster than doing them in 2nd?

    2011 F1 Thread

Webber really dropped the ball on this one. Four cars finished on the lead lap, and he was comfortably, well, 4th. Nothing much to take from the race at all. Massa, what's going on?? He is appalling! Would love to see Kubica in the SF camp next year, but they love their 1-2 driver hierarchy, and with Nando on for another 5 years, I can't see it happening. Any other rumours floating around?
  17. When I started looking for a car I could track, I basically wanted whatever was going to give me the most track days per dollar. Not the fastest, but the most cost effective option. I bought an S13 silvia basically because I read dozens and dozens of times that they're mighty hard to beat for motorsport on a budget. Mine's still a road car but I think the principles below still apply if you're going to buy a track only one. A silvia probably won't be near as fast as your gtr, but it will cost you a fraction of what the gtr costs to track. With the points you mentioned in your first post: 1) S13's are dirt cheap, in fact S14's weren't much more at last look. 2) Plenty of silvias out there doing good times. EVO's etc are obviously quicker out of the box, but Silvia's have plenty of potential. 3) They're relatively light, so they're easy on tyres and brake pads. 4) They respond well to mods and there's a million people selling a million parts for them. You often don't need fancy brand name stuff either - for example, R33 discs and calipers pull up S13's quite nicely. 5) They're RWD. Good times for learning about driving. 6) I don't know anything about this
  18. For the NSW people, looks like they're covering it on Channel One this weekend - 7:30 till 10:30. http://www.yourtv.com.au/guide/sat/
  19. +1 for what Baron is saying re: the Sparco Sprint V/metal frame seats in general. I had a fairly major bingle in my S13 at Eastern Creek last year, and when I saw the seat afterward, I thought to myself "never again". The frame was twisted like a coke can. Luckily I walked away ok, but I've learnt my lesson - I'll certainly be getting a full fibreglass seat next time.

Well if Webber doesn't come back, maybe we can pin our future hopes on this guy! http://www.formula1.com/news/headlines/2010/11/11547.html His best lap would have been good enough for third in F1 quali, and comfortably ahead of Webber. Not bad!

    2010 F1 Season

They couldn't get him to spell it out, but Vettel pretty much confirmed in the post-race press conference that if the RBR 1-2 scenario with Alonso 3rd develops, he will move over for Webber. Sure, Vettel and Webber are the strongest of rivals, but Vettel has said he's a team player and would prefer to see an RBR driver win it than a Fez driver. P.s. did anyone see Webber straight after he got out of the car this morning? Vettel came over to say congrats and give Webber the handshake, and Webber basically got out of the car backwards to have his back to Vettel and leave him hanging for a couple of seconds. Ice cold

Indeed, and I think Brazil is just the place for him to do it, stake his claim. He drove a great race last year, and there's no reason why he can't be super competitive there this year either. He really doesn't want to leave it until the last race. It's almost a stab in the dark as to who will win if it comes down to the final weekend, so i'm hoping he puts in a really strong showing at Interlagos.
