New rims arrived ... I gotta say although I like nice rims etc Ive never really been a 'wheel guy'... but I admit I like these Also started working on the splitter, very trial and error. Im making it up based off what Ive seen others do and putting bits of ideas together Sits 65mm off the ground - 185 wide, those tabs on the side are yet to be bent up. its 120mm leading edge from the airdam The airdam is large with no lip on the GTR bar and few aesthetic bend in there I don't like but hey its a version I and my first go The honeycombe ally core stuff with .5m ally either side is very light and strong... I don't know how it relates to anything else people make but I just have to fit the mounting points up to the chassis and I'm at total weight of 6.1kg so prob get away with about 7.XX all up Its very strong as a complete unit and fits on like a glove, which is great Any thoughts suggestions or input welcome !

hmmm I was going to try the club racer next (currently using HC+) ... maybe not as im pretty heavy in the brake pedal as is

^^ interesting you say Bilsteins also the s14 next to mine in my garage is full setup 500hp 2j has $4500 worth of custom bilsteins in it... absolutely awesome to drive (and co drive in which is more often) I know they are different cars etc etc but when we get mine on the track we'll both be driving both cars will be interesting to compare certain things... other option was KW variant 3's but at $4000 odd I still prob would've gone to MCA golds for that coin for tried and proven etc

howd you go with your first crack at decent aero ?? which bit you changing front or rear ? ive opted for cheaper version first as I know i'll prob smash it lol

Finished installing all new stuff last night ... bar the new rims that are not here yet and front splitter in progress i'll go get a wheel alignment and have a few tuning sessions to see how it goes MCA recommended 11kg front and 5kg rear springs based on details I gave them about the car and tracks I run. We have more point and shoot tracks not a lot of high speed cornering unfortunately so he suggested a softer spring rate than usually apparently ... i'll go with what they say for obvious reasons and only $50 / per spring to change if necessary from jumping up and down n the front and back of the car which I know is a highly sophisticated testing mechanism ...lol.. they are far stiffer and progressive than what was in there previously

Ok trying for more consistent updates here after numerous more track days everything is still strong and good... insert thumbs up here ! the wing stays have been powdercoated back a recent track night at Barbs going into the last corner I pushed a bit too hard and ran outta talent with my left wheel on the grass binned it into the sandbox, nothing crazy but cracked up front carbon lip good enough for it to be turfed and that's now going the be the 'splitter' bar with origin bar now being the normal one recent track day at collie was great 40 + hot laps, passenger rides and also push to try and go fast sometimes too + cruise sessions ..good day out Since then the car is up on jacks stands... The MCA reds have turned up and gone in I picked up some second hand Project Mu 2 piece rotors that where still in good nick, so will skim those disks and use them but also got a new set of the newer carbon replacement rotors + motorsport pads which can go in later As many have recommended with MCA suspension they recommend going to standard sways bars so the whilelines come out and standard ones with all new links going in... weight saving of 7kg right there.. Also to complete my little splurge I could help myself... rolling around on the rota grids that I have a heap of from drifting are obviously very heavy. So in the event of not chasing power but moreso reducing weight I bought some lightweight rims Ce28rt Black Editions - 18 x 9.5 +14 front (8.1kg) and 18 x 10.5 +15 rear (8.6kg) - they are on the way now and should have them by mid next week, i'll prob run 265 a050's around and see how that goes. Given the rotas are heavy + been powdercoated they weigh 12.5kg each so between the new rims, different sways, 2 piece rotas and going back to a 265 tyres I looks like i'll reduce unsprung weight and rotational mass by about 21kg and + sways adding to weigh loss should be a total of about 28kgish car should be back on track in a few weeks

Thanks mate... ill learn one day ? Car seems quick ... just need to practice practice and get better lines more consistantly Big wing is big I was actually quite surprised mainly that the depth of it. Same as richo etc is using and quite a few others so hopefully does the job

Hi all Got the following for sale: R32 gtst TEIN drift coilovers - 7kg F 4 kg R, great condition dont get good for circuit + other stuff too did good lap times in my car with them - $800 ono Rota Grids 18 x 9.5 + 20 pair with 18 x 10 + 15 pair - freshly powdercoated black used a 3 events few light marks good cond, hass shagged tyres on them - $750 Nexen N6000 tyres 2 x 235/45/18 - brand new - $140 AIR jack system - new. 2 x K Sport Airjacks, fittings + proper lines to finish system just need to end lines to where you want and get bottle attachment - $800 (air jacks are $750 for one retail) R32 Cusco Strut brace - Front.... blue adjustable from middle. Avg paint - $100 Strut brace rear - generic adjustable from both ends - was in my R32 gtst may fit others that strut towers are close to same width Will be slightly ono if reasonable or purchase a few things etc but dont be silly If interested or for pics please PM me or 0411173970 Thanks

All good im pretty slack sometimes ... recently got reinspired for the 4 doors myself recent article on speedhunters for jap time attack had a r34 sedan 700hp rb25 running a 57.xx lap pretty cool as thats quick! Go the sedans ?? Keep at it

One of the setup problems I was facing using numerous parts from different stuff in combination was the castor rods in the PBM package when mounted to the original point wouldnt allow anymore than 5deg castor As a result of this and other things no doubt I have been getting massive understeer... now I combatted this with the right foot therefore rear end oversteer but obviously not the real way to go, as such we moved the mounting point for the front of the castor foward and braced etc we now have a nice 7.5 deg castor... this has improved turn in alot during a tuning session prior to Xmas had along of seat time... I know its not natsoft etc but harrys lap timer showed me a 63.71 sec lap at barbs and was fun times about 3/4 through the day coming down back straight things got a little loose in the rear and got called in by a fellow driver who passed me.... came in and my Origin rear wing with make shift gurney snapped ! haha having a break over xmas period I have only done one track night that was In Feb ... driving with no wing etc was differrent and pretty loose but was good to try different setups on the car... so I was rocking the street car look for a bit Alas... I cant help it... Im a wing guy... I ordered a Topstage V3 big daddy wing ... it has been received and is currently being put on the car right now. The wing stays which I have yet to see are not going to be so subtle as what I wanted when I went it to talk to the guys doing it vs what was going to happen at the end of the conversation changed a fair bit ha... will see what it comes out like I am driving the car again in two days time to trial it I seem to have a problem... but anyway... since the wing was bought and being put on I have a spare Origin front bumper and thought I would start to mock up a front splitter etc to potentially use moving forward this will be made out of honeycombe composite for the splitter and Ultrabond composite for the additional bits, so not full awesome carbon and cheap enough but also strong and decent enough this will also be fully and easily removeable as one full unit with front bumper as will the rear wing as I still want to be able to just drive this thing for fun ! while I was rolling i thought why not... so I have also ordered some MCA reds they are on the way soon .... will be starting with 11kg front springs and 5kg rear as recommended but obviously after testing etc that will probably change From it weighing in at 1270 kg i managed to remove 20kgs via things like passenger seat and a few other things and running approx 15ltrs of fuel not 35 - 40kg I dropped another 20kg odd so weighed in at 1232 kg so thats 1316 with driver... i dont know how or why but car at 1200kg without driver would be nice so I think thats it for now but over the next few weeks things should start to change / develop more I really dont know where this is going to end up at the moment lol..... all I know is im still having fun with it and enjoying develpoing the car .... which way and how the car will be developed from this point I might be heaps might be nothing haha

hey ..... yeah sorry been a while .. thanks for the interest i'll update so since I left off prior to xmas was just doing a heap of driving with the car as is ..seat time on totally shagged 050's i managed offical time of 64 flat at Barbagallo runninng out of tyres I bought some 295 Hankook softs from over east that were brand new but 2 years old... so reasonably hard but good enough price to get and has yielded some Ok results and scrubbed up decently after 2 track outtings They fit good one the front even ..go the tubs I did some fun track days taking passengers etc down at our Collie track, point and shoot track but good for something different Car going really strong mechanically and finding my groove in the seat

Depends on $$ and how much 'race' you want vs look etc there are alot of fast cars around without any aero etc so obviously make sure suspension, tyres etc sorted first Obviously the proven bigger 'GT' rear wings are there being Voltex, Topstage and APR - with the AUD going down so much it puts even the basic versions of the above into the $2.5K mark though A rear lip probably wouldnt do much at all compared to a proper wing on r32 gtst had a basic Origin 1700mm CF rear wing on and put a gurney flap on it... made the car feel solid in the rear.. though have absolutely nothing to compare it too so probably doesnt mean much but a decent starting point .... the angle i ran it etc prob causing too much drag vs downforce etc recently it snapped going 200ks + so now going Topstage rear wing when the wing snapped at tunuing session came in took it off went out 5 mins later so same track / tyre temps everything car felt very noticably unstable in the rear after that its also about balance front to rear, i dont run a front splitter yet so I understeer alot, so yes your front splitter on vs no decent rear wing would prob make rear more unstable to usual ?

I have an SSB in my racecar - sunny old Perth isnt that cold usually but have cranked it over with sucess on some low single digit cold mornings All other times never had a problem, obviously coupled with isolator etc but sitting for months at time and cranks over first time no probs been going 18 mths strong and not charged it once since initial full charge -
AM performance in S.A did me a one off one for my rb22 a few years ago as I think he used to do group buys many years previous maybe call or send him a message

rb25 with 3071gtx or equivlant hypergear turbo lowmount i/w on 18psi for 280 - 300rwkw? should carry 450nm and be all in around 3750rpm ? injectors, fuel pump and basic ecu or nistune and get window switch for VCT if needed like oyu said keep crossover pipes etc for std look people have different thoughts / feelings on response etc but wouldnt thought the above would be a good balance of all without too many dramas as its a pretty well troden path

R32 Suspension - Hunting More Lock

s14/ s15 etc rack from my experience definately got more travel and also less turns lock to lock if you get binding reduce your castor you've pretty much maxed out that type setup without going to new knuckles, changing mounting points etc etc -

get it powdercoated .. best thing i did was get all my stuff powdercoated, not very expensive, looks good and 3 x as tough as paint -
