  1. Hey Brendan, Good luck with finishing up uni mate! hope all is going well for you. its been a good 2 and a half years since i got rid of my 32 (and probably that long since i have been on here as well), I have kept the boost bug at bay by riding motorbikes and playing in the mud in 4wds. I stongly reccomend both. Cheers Carl
  2. they dont do colours for ebc brake pads for motor bikes (i wish they did cos then my choice would be clear). they offer sintered pads, carbon pads or organic pads. Im leaning toward sintered EBC pads. BUT i just dont recognise many brands for motorbikes, the other ones might be the ducks nuts or the ducks red headed step child
  3. soooooo im in the market for some fresh brake pads for my Husky Front rotor got a hot spot and warped, so i have a fresh 320mm brembo rotor being shipped to me, and will be replacing pads too. have asked the guys on another forum and got 11ty billion different opinions about a bunch of brands that i am unfamiliar with (apart from EBC). my problem is im a motorcycle noob and i dont know any of the guys well enough to trust opinions. my bike is my daily, but i will have it out on the track from time to time, so im not keen on anything that i need to warm up too much but i do want something with bite (i know its like asking for the holy grail ) looking for some input from Roo or Pete or Robbie, or anyone else who has been around bikes for a few years cheers!
  4. it will be available when ever the issuing officer bothers to key the fine in. the fine can actually go past the due date, and you have no means to pay if the officer is lazy (post office wont accept it, ENB wont take payment over the phone and there will be no option to pay online even though you have the fine in your hand). I have come accross a number of people that have had no way to pay the fine till the reminder notice is issued (dont stress if this happens... its one of the only instances where a reminder fee will be removed). if there is any kind of clerical error on the expiation, it will be withdrawn by ENB then it will be up to the issuing officer to reissue you a fine.
  5. i did, but it wouldnt let me reply as you were offline. I'll PM you
  6. nah steve, wont be getting another performance car in the near future. will more than likely get a 4wd though... can have fun in one without having to be as paranoid about the cops. having lots of fun on 2 wheels now (heart goes a lot faster when you get the back end of a bike out entering a corner compared to a car )
  7. if i still had my skyline i'd be all over that WAIC Jarrod is selling like stink on a monkey. I have see first hand how much more effective they are at dropping intake temps on rotors compared to air to air intercoolers, especially in the aussie summer.
  8. my $0.02 my 32 developed a bunch of problems in a short amount of time. it went from being bullet proof, to running like a pig along with copping some panel damage and the clutch and coilovers reaching the end of their servicable life in a matter of a month. I tinkered away getting the car running properly again, fixed a vacuum leak and replaced a lot of the cheaper consumable parts on the car (O2 sensor, plugs, etc. etc.). I had the car running reasonably well for a short time, shortly after it went pear shaped with a bag ground (smoke off the battery, knackered starter solenoid and possibly a cooked ECU). I bit the bullet and put it up for sale, i sold the car "as is" (ie, no rego, not running, and un-washed LOL.... gumtree is your friend), I also got rid of all my spares etc with the car cos i dont have heaps of spare time to sell the individually. the money from the sale, and not having the ongoing expenses allowed me to clear a LOT of debt and get myself well in the black within only a few months. at the mo, im on the bus and saving $ and couldnt be happier. i do miss the car from time to time but im in a much better place now. thats just my experience

  10. is this similar/same as "goon of fortune"? people + hills hoist + goon = summer debauchery!
  11. i think they are scandanavian tbh
  12. if he didnt ask for those details with the pretense of registering the car himself i would not have a problem with it at all
  13. im just overly cautious cos of where i work, and i get to see what happens when it goes wrong first hand. Im happy that i have myself covered cash sale, and i believe he will not have it on the road straight away I see where you are coming from. however its a cash sale and its a bargain for him. im not concerned if he pulls out as there has been so much interest that i know i caould sell it almost straight away and possibly for more than the current sale is for
  14. i couldnt count the number of fines that i have seen that have been incurred in the previous owners name regardless of disposal notices, it may be a data entry problem/human error, but i have no faith that i would not get the potential fine
  15. i would have registered if that was true. the disposal notice has no effect on a fine when it is issued. if the new owner did not trasfer rego, i would still be the registered owner and potentially get speeding/red light fines and have to stat dec them into the new owners name.
  16. yeah, it may be innocent enough... but im not playing that game.
  17. my 32 is getting picked up tomorrow. the soon to be new owner asked if i would register the car, and he would pay me back so he can tow it behind a car rather than hire a trailer/tow truck. i said no on the basis that i do not want the car freshly registered in my name, cos i dont want the risk of wearing all the fines that could potentially come. THEN he asked for the VIN, plate and engine number so he can register it in his name. i said no cos then he could possibly be the legal owner before the sale... he has not responded.... what could possibly be next???
  18. yeah, will be sad to see it go on thursday. but now i will be able to get a bigger toy and go play in the mud
