  1. Ant: I was involved in a 4 car accident on my car to Dreamworld. The car in front of me was too close to the car in front and jammed brake. I don't think I'd get out of it even if I were to go through it again because I was a good 3-4 car behind her. Anyway that's all history. Nooba: That's what he said to me when he bought it off me. I was actually looking for someone to restore it and if I cant find anyone, I'll let it go to someone that's gonna wreck it. Anyway that's disappointing but it's his car anyway. Hopefully the inspection will go well tomorrow for my next car. Else I'll just be driving around in a 4cyc turbo diesel until I got money for a R34 M-Spec NUR.
  2. Kind of, until the new owner restore it. No more gtr for me for a while... Hopefully I'll get to own my dream car (R34 M-Spec Nur) eventually.
  3. Both Waterford Panel Beater and Kudos Motorsports have been more than helpful in assisting during the whole insurance claim and helping me decide whether or not to go ahead with the restore work on the gtr. Unfortunately the cost of restore is more than what I would like to pay. Waterford Panel Beater James is a down to earth person with a passion for restoring cars to excellent condition, kinda reminds me of Dan from ERD. Unfortunately I've decided to not keep to car but I am sure he will do a good job if I did. This is based on the work I see him do and reviews from friends. My experience with him has been nothing but good. He is a busy man but never fails to follow up on request and I do feel bad interrupting him during work. Before the accident I thought only Cameron Body Works the only go to for panel work but now I know where to bring my next car to should I need any work done. Kudos Motorsport Andrew is quick and positive about everything. The list of parts I gave him wasnt exactly easy but he manage to turn that around within 3days with a really good price too. To anyone after parts, definitely give Andrew a go. I have bought parts from him in the past and he's been extremely helpful all the time. He's just located at Gold Coast which makes collection easy too. Cheers.
  4. Ok its sold and the new owner will restore the car.
  5. Still waiting for quote from the panel beater and some parts from supplier. If the cost is within limits maybe its a good opportunity to restore the entire car. I'll create another thread detailing all the work if it goes that way. If not, it'll end up with my mate and he will restore it himself since he's a mechanic by trade. Biltz: You can close/lock this thread if you wish.
  6. Will do. Just saw your profile. Didn't know you have a 32N1 too. It'll be nice for you to have my 33 too. Then you'd have the complete set... lol.
  7. I'll update you when its all finalised. Its either going to a close mate that helped me do a lot of the work on the car or I'll use this as an opportunity to fix all the problem which you were going to if you got it if its financial within my limit. I hate to let it go after this mate of mine reminded me how much effort and time I've spent on her. And my wife telling me its our wedding car. Lol.
  8. Sold pending payment to someone thats going to restore it.
  9. Do you need my bank details? Lol. I'll give a call to the assessor later this morning to confirm what state the car will be in.
  10. Oh yea... another part which is nice too. RH9 alternator which was put in Jan this year. This baby got lotsa goodies
  11. Sorry. Didn't realise my inbox was that full. Already replied.

  13. No. It'll be back up for sale soon. Looking at getting a custom one done. Price dropped to $800 pick up early bird special!
  14. I'm sick of the drone from the titanium and would like to know if we have anyone in Brisbane that can do a quiet (say 91 or 91dB) exhaust system (front pipe and catback) that will flow at least 350kW for any future plans. Dump pipe installation is too hard and I wouldn't be doing an turbo anytime soon. I got a brand new Kakimoto Regu 06&R previously but the mid resonator was rubbing against the drive shaft. I cant be bothered with after market catback system. Just wants a solution that will fix it. Probably will never sell the car if I can get rid of the droning. Somebody help me out!
  15. The problem's gone! RH9 alternator in and all's good.
  16. Cool. Please do. By the way, do you know if the alternator comes with voltage regulator or are they external? I'm wondering if that might be faulty. Any case, I've placed an order for the RH9 alternator, hopefully its all good.
  17. Anyone can provide some confirmation as to the RHD Hyper Alternator is a straight bolt on replace of a R33 GTR or any skyline for that matter? Cheers.
  18. Recently the battery light or charge light on my car lit up and the next day, stalled while I was driving into my driveway. Below are some points which I've noticed. 1) First time the battery light came up, car drives fine. 2) Next day drove to the shops with the lights on, fine. However, after I turn ignition off at the carpark, the turbo timer ran for 2sec and the car stalled. I didnt bother trying to restart at that time and the car started fine when I return. 3) On my way driving back home, I noticed the idling wasnt very good and sounded like the car would stall while stopped at the lights. At this stage I hold my rev to keep it going. 4) Upon turning into my driveway, the car stalled after I clutched in and semi-driving the clutch. The car was not able to start or even crank after. I had to get my missus' car out to jump start. 5) Car stalled again while reversing back into the garage and was not able to start. I had to jump start the car again. At this stage I thought the battery was getting towards the end of life since I've had it for 5 years. So I went to Battery World and get a replacement even though the car was able to start the next day. The voltage at the battery when I removed it was 12.3V and the new one was 12.7V when I put it in. Unfortunately that didnt solve the problem. The car started fine after I put in the new one but was not able to crank or start after I turn off ignition and try restarting. When the car was running, I measured the voltage at the battery and was reading 13.1V. This was the maximum it got to. Everyone is suggesting its a faulty alternator and I am happy to replace it. However what I am not sure is what is required to rebuilt an alternator and who can do it? Is the voltage regulator part of the alternator or a separated device altogether? I would think the alternator is more of a mechanical hardware thing and the regulator to have some kind of electronics in it. But I am not sure what do people mean when they say rebuilding an alternator, do they mean rewinding the alternator or simply replace the regulator? Also any one got a number for towing service in brisbane? I'm paranoid about driving to my mechanic as I think it'll just stall again and not able to restart in the middle of the road... Thanks!
  19. A couple of mine but has since got TE37.
  20. I think its quite deep BUT theres a hole in every single one of them
