  2. Can I block this coolant line off? Tried doing a search but don't know what the proper name is haha can I block off the circled pipe without any issues? cheers!
  3. eBay aftermarket r32 gtr grill Has anyone bought one of those aftermarket r32 gtr grill copies off eBay? Just wondering how close to the originals they are! cheers
  4. WTB: r32 gtr standard horn button Chasing a standard horn button for r32 gtr cheers
  5. according to ntmotorsports theres a drift/lapsprint day on the 6th of september, im planning on making it to that one
  6. I'm interested in some track days at hidden valley, many people on here go down for them?
  7. Those turbos have made around the 400rwkw mark on ~20 psi on the 2.6 with a fair amount of lag though, Will overcome that somewhat with the 3 litre but theres a lot better choice of turbo out there at the moment. Seeing as they have been on a blown up motor have you had them checked? oil starvation usually effects turbos first...depending on what caused the engine to pop they could be no good. Either way will be awesome to see this beast going!
  8. Thanks for the replies mate, always good to get another opinion on things!
  9. Next step is to pull the rad out, heater core etc and go right through it, I just want to hear if anyone else has had something else go wrong and caused this problem before I go that far
  10. I've ran fleet guard restore twice which is the flush we use on trucks and works really well aswell as flushing it with water afterwards over and over. But I think letting the car sit for 2 years might mean there could be shot coming out for a long time yet
  11. Leak down/compression tests are perfect aswell
  12. On my R32 gtr I had oil in my coolant but no water in my oil, so assuming it was the normal factory oil heat exchanger I threw it in the bin and fitted an rb20 filter housing. The car sat for 2 years with oil in the coolant as I moved and the car stayed. I've now flushed the system with fleet guard restore and ended up coming up clear but every time it gets driven shit collects in the top of the radiator. No where near as bad as before and doesn't appear to be mixed through the engine as previous (undo the bleed screw and clean coolant comes out) So what I'm asking is has anyone had a similar problem and it's just a prick to get the cooling system clean or should I be chasing another problem? Cheers
  13. Best I can find is $1345, that sound alright? Without a pedal
  14. Yeah I'm going to go with the unitig
  15. I looked up the weldsmart website and found the current pictures show a different welder to that supplier, Infact they are the only supplier I can find that sells that one so seems dodgey. I think it will be worth paying the extra even if it's just warranty purposes, you wouldn't know about the boards either!
  16. I'm about to buy a tig, following you guys information I've been looking into a unitig, but this seems to be exactly the same thing? http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/191050063112?nav=SEARCH I can buy them locally for $999 including foot pedal. I don't like buying no brand stuff but I can't see the difference in the 2?
  17. i'll be keen for a meet and greet when im back in the state, i'm new to wa also!
  18. Yes its been quite a while since i've heard anything, wonder if they had issues when it came to testing
  19. wasn't nitto making/made a splined drive collar? or did i dream that up?
  20. Should make a cruise in the new year to check out some of these roads? I'm newish to WA and have to google these places to know where you're all talking about haha!
  21. You might have to search google, I havn't seen a topic on here about their stuff but that doesn't mean their isn't. It's pretty high end to go with their moulded joins, looms covered in dr-25 but very good quality, there might be cheaper alternatives. With ECUs you could argue all day about what's better but in my opinion it's best to either find a tuner that likes your ECU or use what he recommends
  22. Check out raychem products, you can go all out use their wire, heatshrink, moulded joins, cover the loom in dr-25 etc. where ever you mount the panel it needs to be easy to get to so your not upside down tangled in the cage trying to work on the electrics, resettable circuit breakers are the way to go for sure!
