Hey guys, My old mechanic has left, I need to find a new place, because the other guy doesn't like servicing Turbos... I live in the Carindale area. Cheers, Chris.

HOWTO: RB25DET High Boost mode with standard solenoid
parkie replied to paulr33's topic in Tutorials / DIY / FAQ
Cheers Paul! Just finished doing this mod. Took less than 5mins for someone who doesn't do wiring very often! Noticeable difference in mid rpm range. -

Question Rb25det And Rb25det Neo Waterpump
parkie replied to boostn0199's topic in Forced Induction Performance
Sigh, none left. I have left the seller a message. Hopefully, he just hasn't gotten round to listing another one. I had a looked for others in USA, seems they don't have complete kits. Selling seals, timing belts, etc. separately. -

Question Rb25det And Rb25det Neo Waterpump
parkie replied to boostn0199's topic in Forced Induction Performance
Ha, I am looking into a new water pump, as I have my major service coming up. Looks like I might have stumbled across a good topic. What timing belt kit did you buy? I was looking at the Gates one that CRD advertise on here for $295... Edit: I just found this link after my post. Looks like it will fit RB25DET.... Quote: "Side note: For those of you that install the RB pumps with the slotted holes, you must be very careful applying the silicone sealant around the slotted hole. If not enough is applied it will start to leak around that area as the surface area for sealing is very small. Pay particular attention to that slotted area when installing!" -

Help With These Two Buttns
parkie replied to thafob's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
You must have an auto right? 1. The power means it will change it down a gear for more torque, makes the car have a more aggressive feel and more torque. Also, it changes gears later in the rpm range. The snow starts in 2nd gear for less torque, and keeps it in a lower rpm range, so it has less chance of wheel spin. Good for driving in muddy situations or snow. So, you should have more torque in power mode and much less torque in snow mode. 2. As for the spoiler up and down button...to me it sounds pretty simple, but I have no knowledge of this in Skylines. If the button doesn't work maybe the motor for it is broken or your car has an aftermarket spoiler, which made the button obsolete. Who knows. Please correct me if I am wrong people. Hope this helped Justin. Cheers. -

Who wouldn't go for the GTR?! Respect as soon as they see the GTR badge. I would have to say that the GTR would probably be more expensive to run(even my GTS25T is a bit of a money bucket, but I spare no expense in servicing it). I don't have a GTR, but I would assume so, because it's a performance car. My uncle also said never to get an AWD car cause of the cost of running them, but I wouldn't care tbh. How many km's for both cars? -

Kakimoto Gt 1.oz Titanium Cat Back
parkie replied to allblitz's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
I don't think it would, cause my Kakimoto Full Mega N1+ is louder than legal and mine has a resonator. Kakimoto are great! This would be perfect for someone who wants pure performance! Light weight and hardly any restrictions, looks like you get a catalytic converter with it.... This is a great price for an exhaust that would cost a bundle and a half to buy new from Japan. Good luck with sale. Cheers. -
