Ill probably run this for a month to get as many on board as possible, organise deposits once final numbers are known to make sure that whoever wants one is SERIOUS, and then we should all get our kits within 6 weeks from today. I'll have a couple of threads in relevant sections for this. I am going to speak to the manufacturer regarding the modification of the kits to include sleight differences etc so that all cars dont look exactly the same ie different sized vents, mesh sections, extra GTR style intakes and so on. If you are even remotely interested in a kit, post in this thread. I will constantly update the first post with those who are interested, so we can keep track of numbers. More people interested = cheaper kits. In a couple of weeks I will get a price on the kits, or parts of kits, according to how many people are interested. You can then use this information to decide whether you want one. I can also arrange painting and fitting at a heavily discounted price for anyone in the brisbane area. Thank you. 5. Mate that is a sexy car - i think anyone with an R31 should be aspiring to that. Ghostrider you sound like the JOHOVAS WITNESS of car modifiers - your entitled to your opinion and belief but honestly... get over yourself. Hop on your pushbike and knock on someone elses door. Car looks mint, and all goes together well, doesnt look mis-matched like a lot of the other modified cars getting around.
  6. Bought my first Skyline on Saturday night. Ive owned a couple of Nissan Stageas, one a 260RS, so its a lil step backwards for me in a way. It is a 1988 R31 Skyline, RB30E, 5 speed. Interior is pretty well like new. Starts great unless its a cold morning, in which case it needs a bit of cranking over... (any ideas?). Shifts well. No clunks etc, clutch is surprisingly good. Great mechanically, makes good power. Body is straight as tho the roof is faded, and it had a white bonnet which i have now primed and hit with satin black til the whole car is resprayed silver. So far i have - Fitted a short shifter, done a full service (all fluids and filters, new plugs, leads), bought new front and rear rotors and calipers, new king springs and new shocks, all waiting for me to fit them over a few nights this week.
  7. From 3172... if thats your postcode then you are too far away!
  8. R33 GTS25 Auto Series I, Sedan. So four door non-turbo auto. Good for p-platers with more than one friend, i guess. The car is freshly painted white, no marks or blemishes etc GTR front bumper and grille Do-Luck side skirts Carbon rear wing 18" BBS look wheels (mesh type - not sure what brand, theyre Japanese) Nismo 320KPH cluster Autometer Water temp, Oil Pres, Volts guages in pods on A-pillar. Cluster surround and centre fascia painted in scratch resistant burnt metallic orange, guage cups also New Drift Grey and Black leather wheel matching shifter and handbrake boot (grey and black leather) Interior is immaculate King springs and Tein Super Street shocks Trust muffler Pod filter and CAI box with pipe neatly to front bar Recent service with receipts for oils (trans and motor), oil filter, platinum plugs etc The whole car is mint, looks fantastic and drive just as good as it looks. Cluster says 12x,xxxkm but was put in about 1000 ago. Have original cluster which reads 134,400km. Looks like a D1 sedan. will put pics up shortly. thanks
  9. I'd probably go something a lil bit different... Like a datsun 280B, or Super 6 or something that is old but has a lil bit of class but is still a small light car. Good news is that they actually LOOK cool, but if it is neat, you wont get hassled in it. Then, run a decent SR20DET, or an RB series engine if it will fit. Id make it look factory... nice and neat so anyone who looked at it would nearly think you could option these old girls with that engine. Itd be white, with 14" wheels and stock steel hub caps. Sitting a lil bit lower than standard... With venetians.
  10. This may or may not be the right section for this, sorry if thats the case. The car is an R33 GTS25 Auto. I have tracked down a Nismo instrument cluster (albeit one with more kms than the car) to suit an R33 GTST Auto (it has the gear select indicator etc) and was hoping to get an answer as to whether it will work in my non-turbo car, being that the nismo item has the boost pressure gauge mounted in it in the same way a standard GTST does. Im assuming it will be a simple plug and play job, and that the boost gauge simply wont work. Can anyone confirm this for me? Thanks guys.
  11. Awesome thread - just what i needed. Ive been looking at picking up an R33 4 door in pretty poor condition that is for sale, and spending a couple of months building it up. Its been hard to find what they can look like - now i know! Is the white one with the black wing an australian based car? that looks gorgeous.
  12. this is correct... my autechs plate had it listed as an RB25DET. Autech is not nissan - they purchase the vehicles before making the modifications, including paint. This is why the only way you could get a Series one in manual, or in black, was to buy an autech. Technically all autechs are Nissan Stageas with a lot of 'genuine aftermarket' parts. Intercooler piping hole on mine was definitely a factory cut job. Series 2 autechs have white faced dials, series ones have black, and even have the window in the centre for the automatic gear indicator. He's not trying to pass it off as an autech... 'this one has been fitted with the RB26DETT AS PER THE AUTECH...' He's just got autech in the topic title to get hits from people who are looking for autechs. Obviously the car is not one...
  13. Vehicle in question is a Series 1 R33 Sedan. It has damage to both front guards and headlights. Will the headlights and front guards from a coupe fit? as I have found a set the same colour etc on a coupe. I parked next to one and couldnt really see any differences but was hoping someone would know for sure. Car is a project, which will be a fairly fast paced build over the next couple of months. This is the first step! Also - The car runs a 4-stud setup. Would i be running the same wheels as a cefiro/silvia etc then? its it 4x114.3? Thanks guys
  14. The first sentence says something like 'these are one-off stagea neckpads' etc etc... grown and sexy haha... very japanese. 'wow your bills daughter? havent seen you for years... wow, you've become a fine woman' kind of thing haha
  15. well wish me luck then. I'll take photos of the whole engine out transfer. Whats the easiest way to get it out? Lift the engine and gearbox upwards and out with the bonnet off?
  16. I would have preffered 'a prestige touring wagon that is comfortable yet functional' which is what i was thinking it was. But that is just sweet haha I think the whole car looks awesome - id even keep the stickers on it. Its a hell of a statement, the whole car is.
  17. Ok so from the GTR i can use the gearbox, clutch assembly (excluding the pedal and master cylinder), and spigot bush and front shaft... Hmm GTR drive shafts etc....? From an R33 GTsT i need the brake and clutch pedals and master cylinder, and full handbrake assembly (the one from the 32 GTR wont work?) From nissan i need the clutch pedal bracket Not sure about str8e180, his name is John and he moves pianos.
  18. Kemp...? ok so i should still try and source the pedal set and master cylinder from a later model.... no worries. But gearbox, handbrake setup, clutch assembly all sweet by the sound of it....
  19. Have managed to find these bits so far - From a 1992 R32 GTR- Gearbox Clutch assembly and flywheel incl bearing Clutch m/cyl and slave cyl Handbrake assembly Pedal set The car has just done 100,000kms, and slid sideways into a tree. He is using the engine, brakes and diff to go into a 180SX, but is using an R33 GTST gearbox, and the 180 is already a manual vehicle so he doesnt need the above parts. Was a mint condition GTR skyline mechanically and visually, so its a shame, but at least me buying the gear off him will help with his project! What else do i need? I'll have to figure something with a centre console - i can have his and maybe adapt the centre piece into the stagea one and retrim it or something. Let me know what else i should get off this car. He is a mate of mine who ive known for a few years, so is happy to not rort me on pricing.
  20. you could buy it, clean most then have it retrimmed in suede or something and sell it for a fair bit hey.
  21. Mate that is an incredible car for its money - very VIP. I'd delete it and re-post with $18k. Did you have the mods done under your ownership or were they already done? Thanks
