  1. Fine with me, I just hope a Thursday night is better for parking there... Lack of decent parking FTL!
  2. That was funny, and I'm glad for you that you stalled it instead of bunny-hopping into the garage, hitting the back wall and then having all the spare tyres and the tyre rack fall onto the car, especially just after it had been cleaned for AutoSalon!
  3. Thanks for that! Yeah, I have noticed that some of the info is incorrect, and just haven't had the time to correct and update the info as yet. Series 2 information was a bit hard to come by when I first made the post, so that's why most of the info only really relates to s1. Since then, I've managed to get my hands on the HyperRev magazines, and there is just enough info in there in English that I can reliably update what I've previously posted.
  4. Congratulations, dude! Well, if you're bored and have a spare moment during the day, the SnS is less than 20 minutes away from EC.
  5. I believe the Stagea's auto is an RE401A just like most Nissans (and quite a few other Japanese cars), the only real difference being the transfer box on the end to take drive to the front wheels.
  6. Fudge (or sumsing...), I didn't even notice you came down to our display - how dumb (and blind) am I?
  7. Man, of all the "promo chicks" who were there over the weekend, I reckon less than 5% were actually girls you could look at and say "Hey, she's actually pretty good looking." Most of them were skanks. Yeah, 2GU UP was really nice - wish I'd taken some more time to have a better look at it. I did, however, stop quickly and snap off this shot: Moan, that's Malcolm's Nissan Micra. He's the owner of this mint R33: I'll add more photos soon...
  8. The rear suspension on the WGC34 (RWD) and the WGNC34 (AWD) are the same, it's the front suspension that is different due to the AWD cars having driveshafts to accomodate.
  9. Yeah, via Sydney for the SAU-NSW Show and Shine... Hahaha, I got that too. I'm guessing he accidentally clicked on "Report" instead of "Reply"
  10. 1. Unless I'm very wrong, the wiper controls should be on the LEFT of the steering wheel, and the rear window wiper should be on the same stalk as the front windscreen wipers. On the RIGHT of the steering wheel is where your indicators and headlights are, so I'm guessing that other switch is you turning on your fog lights (the yellow ones). 2. What clips are you talking about? Your question is too generalised - maybe take a few pics or give us a better description. 3. If the plugs on your headlights are melting, maybe take the car to an Auto Electrician to sort that out...
  11. If only WA wasn't so damned far!
  12. I'm in... no, wait... Dammit!
  13. Me too - I've got quite a few photos but most of them turned out pretty crap. I'll put them up anyway, it can't hurt. Do we have ONE thread where we can all upload and/or link the photos to? There are three separate threads with links in each.
  14. Have a safe, fun weekend, everyone!
  15. R33 GTR wheels definitely look tough on a Stagea, even unpainted! Sydneykid has them on his s1, and he also just happens to have developed a full suspension kit which might suit your needs. I'll be saving towards this soon enough, myself. I'm going to be at the Show and Shine - I'm actually helping to get it all up and running. We're in the final stages of planning now, and it will all be announced shortly.
  16. Please tell me these tyres get quieter after they've been scrubbed in! My sister just bought a new car and had mags with these tyres fitted, and they're rather noisy, especially seeing as the car itself is so quiet. Haven't taken the car for a decent drive to check their performance yet, as the car itself still has less than 300kms on it. If they don't get quieter, I'm going to be very disappointed...
  17. Unique Autosports is in Seven Hills now (they recently moved from Castle Hill). http://www.nismo.com.au
  18. Sublime was at its absolute best when it was on Pitt Street in the city... Ol' skool Sublime FTW!
  19. Hmmmmm, well as I mentioned a few weeks back, I thought it would be a good idea to have a thread where we could list all the events that are going on in each state, especially to benefit those who rarely venture out of the Stagea Discussion section of SAU. Anyone can contribute to this thread, and I will keep the info in this first post updated as old events pass, and new events come up. But, I ask that all off-topic discussions are kept to a bare minimum, please! Upcoming NSW Events: SAU-NSW Putty Road cruise - Sunday 23 January, 2011 SAU-NSW Texikhana, the first one for 2011 - Sunday 13 February, 2011 SAU-NSW and RENEW track day @ Wakefield Park Raceway - 5 March, 2011 Upcoming Victoria Events: Australia Day Charity Cruise for the Queensland floods - Wednesday 26 January, 2011 Upcoming Queensland Events: Anyone got anything to add? Upcoming WA Events: Ummm... Upcoming South Australia Events: Well, peoples...
  20. Nice buy, Phil! I live about 15mins from you, btw.
  21. I have to say that I had a great (but very exhausting) weekend! Our main goal was to represent the club as a group of enthusiasts, and we managed to attract plenty of positive attention thanks to the Targa Tassie GT-Rs of Duncan and Kel's and Mark's crashed one. I think it's safe to assume that EVERY SINGLE person who walked past these two cars stopped to have a look, and quite a few people asked about what had happened to it. As has already been mentioned, we didn't attend AutoSalon with the intention of competing with all the blinged-up, air-bagged, airbrushed, cars with bright pink leather, PS2s or XBOXes, and 30 monitors, most of which came and left on flatbed trucks or trailers. Hence why our cars mostly looked "stock." The ONLY cars we had at our display to arrive and leave on trailers were the Targa cars. No, we didn't win any awards, but it was our first time there, and we learnt a lot from the experience which will help us on any future shows we attend.
