  1. Hey I didn't get this before now. No I just followed links from the forum then did a bit of translation etc... I did contact the guy selling and sent him my cars VIN etc to confirm before purchasing.

  3. Ok moving some bits out of the way I found it.
  4. My Xanavi has finally died. So I have bought the parts needed and the cable from japan but I am not sure what the "controller" looks like. My car is 1998 Series 1 WGNC34 25tX Four and I have the 2 plugs that match up with the Japanese harness but no 3rd. I pulled apart the bottom of the dash... but before I remove the instrument cluster... would this be the "controller" I am looking for? This was below the Xanavi area right down behind the cigarette lighter. I didn't see it at first and it wan't till I pulled it out I could see the Xanavi on the side but having the word "Relay" through me. The plug is not the same. As far as I can feel the wires seem to just go towards the fuse box and no other unit I can see. Antony

  8. This thread is old but I will post with a question my problem. S1 Stagea with a Mongoose M60 alarm. When it was installed something like 6 years ago the installer didn't/couldn't work out how to install it with the decaying interior lights. So when I close the door I have to wait the 30sec or so before alarming otherwise I get the "your door is open" chirps... which is fine just annoying but as I don't drive the car much I havn't bothered to fix it. Can someone tell me how to fix it or do I need a "profesional" installer? I'm in Brisbane Samford area.
  9. For those keeping the first post uptodate. Nissan Stagea S1 Auto Replacement Radiator from Natrad Part Number: NIS 039 PACAIL (paid $350inc.) Nissan Genuine RB25 Thermostat 76.5deg Part Number: 21200-42L06 (paid $59.95inc.) Radiator was exactly the same as the original one just missing the "NISSAN" molded into the top.
  10. FYI problem sorted a while back. As far as I can work out... when the gearbox was changed last year by myself I of course had to re-bleed the Attesa pump system... I f**ked up and used the wrong oil which mixed with the existing oil and eventually worked it's way closser to the actuator... with it being thicker oil (we think diff oil) it would hold the 4wd on for some time after. Replaced all the oil with the right stuff and it is perfect again. Lesson: don't put oils in unmaked containers and work in the dark and unsatisfactory work shop or my case the shed floor.

  12. Last weekend I fitted R32 GTR D/Side Front drive shaft to my S1 and drive 1500kms driving towing a trailer.

    These guys are way beyond general machanics they usually only do race cars or enthusiest cars... they dont do water pumps and tie rod ends they fit after market computers and tune high powered machines and generally fix the probelms other machanics scratch their head at. Father and son team with more knowlege than anyone you will ever meet. I put the website there to give an idea, as understated as it is. If you where rocking up with a Falcon I would not suggest them but given it is a Stagea and a Nissan they may help you out... I bought my Stagea from them. If you go... ask Brendon to take you for a run in the R33 with the Infinity V8... I havn't seen it since before he got it going but hear it's a weapon.

    If you are in Port then you could try Bredan Julius in Kempsey who are tuners and know more than most about turbos and especially Nissans.   15. Ok removed the console and looked at the G sensor. The Shock Indicator is not red. Is this all I am looking for?
  16. It's funny how people rate cars and I am no one to talk about liking odd cars. In my driveway today I have Opel Kadett GSi WRC replica rally car, Vauxhall Cavalier SRi and the Stagea 25tXfour and I have owned plenty of interesting cars over the last 30odd years. The Stagea stands out as one of the best alround cars I have owned but if I think back at what car has had the most amount of praise, looks and quastiones asked about out on the road and in servo's there are only 2. Datsun 1600 rally car (which was also my daily driver) and the Stagea... I have had more conversations with ramdom people in those 2 cars. That to me says alot about what people who look at cars think and when they go out of their way to look at the car in a car park or servo and praise it... to me that says alot. Sorry couldn't resist putting a pic of the dato up.

  18. Yeah Kiwi I only just read that recently searching for answers to my problems. Well I was going to remove the console... but absolutely pissing down here... I'll do it tomorrow now and report back.
  19. Thanks Chris... I don't see anything to do with ABS in the software so maybe a scan tool would be a better check. Do I just remove the armrest to look at the G sensor? What are your weekly movements I am flexible in my job and can get away just about any time of any day between 8 and 3pm... I have 3 year old to get from Dcare in the arvos. Monday arvo's are clear and this Friday I am off.
  20. Hi, I have developed a problem with my Stagea 4WD (4spd Auto). At low speed say turning into a car park or reversing into a car space the diffs lock up and make a horrible sounds and a jerky movement or binding. Now this used to happen when I had left the button switched to 4WD if say I was driving in heavy rain and when I reached the destination, still in 4WD and start to reverse into a park but I would immediately turned off 4WD and it would reverse nicely again with no binding. The weird thing is it doesn't always happen. I could do a complete 20km trip with all the elements and it would be fine... then hop in the car and it would do it straight off. At first it was every now and then... but the frequency is getting more often. I have bled the Attessa hydraulics which seemed to go fine... the pump seemed to react as expected while bleeding it. I plugged in the USB Consult plug and checked... there are no fault codes. I am thinking a wheel sensor or one of the G sensors but how do I check these? I do have complete R32 GTR Skyline sitting here for parts if they are computable. Ideas? suggestions and details on how to check wheel sensors and G sensors would be good if anyone has a source.
