  1. Hi Guys, I have an automatic s2 r33 gtst. I just had the timming belt done, and power steering pump replaced, water pump and radiator replaced, along with an oil change, changed oil and fuel filters, and sparkplugs. Now im having an issue with the car stalling and its an automatic! She idles around 5-600 rpm then every 20 seconds or so itll dive down to like 400 bounce up to 900 and resettle at 600. If im driving the car and brake too hard say to stop at lights, or sometimes just when the revs are low the car will stall!! Shes just had a lot of work done to it, so now im not sure what could be causing this issue, any ideas? Any help much appreciated. Cheers! Also it was having this idling issue before I changed the oil, plugs and filters, i was hoping that would rectify it but it didnt.
  2. Hi guys, So i have an auto r33 GTST. I was just wondering what would be involved to convert it to a manual? Aside from selling it and buying a manual, what parts need to be replaced and how much do they go for usually second hand?? Cheers Alex
  3. thanx for replies guys, i didnt remove the oil cap the second time i went to drain oil, prolly why not much came out. When i drained it when we did the service i think maybe 2 and a bit L came out, and i prolly put like almost 4 back in stupid me not realising till i checked the dipstick it was way over. Anyway i did drain like another litre and a half back out but still got a bit to go. Ill prolly put it on a slight incline and try to drain the whole lot then tip it back in like you said. But yeah the time before this i put standard copper plugs in with 1.1 gap (i used to run .8) and every time i put my foot down the car shat itself, misfiring etc etc so i reset ecu, remapped the timing and it went ok, not great tho. Now with the latest service i went back to 0.8 gap (bcpr6es) and took it for a drive before reseting the ecu and thats when i was having all these issues with the accelerating. I put my foot down, rev meter goes up and nothign happens then suddenly BAM the gear drops in/power engages and it goes - after that initial pause of like 2-3 seconds??! So i reset the ecu / timing and remaped it to the new plugs, but it still does it. Not as bad as before i remapped it (you couldnt even drive it then - too dangerous) but its still doing it to a lesser degree. I go to accelerate and the gear takes its time to engage or the power takes its time to kick in one or the other im not sure which or why!! But now theres maybe a 1-2 second delay. Before all this it would engage almost instantly. Im not sure where to start lol, should i buy new plugs and start over??
  4. Hi guys, i own an automatic r33 gtst s2. My friend and i serviced the car the other day, new spark plugs, oil change, oil filter, fuel filter, and now im having issues with the car!! Now when i go to drive it there is like a long pause before it will engage the gears. I disconnected the battery and reset the ecu/remapped twice and it helped very slightly. I go to accelerate now and the revs go up and then after too long a pause it engages the power sort of abruptly. Im not sure what i did wrong... dangerous when i need to get on a roundabout!! Ok one thing i had noticed i put too much oil in... ive been trying to drain it out but it wont come out!! The sump will give me about a litre then just stop. So i tried again the other day, gave me like 500ml then just stopped completely. I think i still have about a litre too much in there... shouldnt the oil be draining like fairly easily?? any ideas?? thanks in advance Alex

  8. Hey guys, im thinking bout gettin rid of the pod and going back to stock air box... can u still hear the induction noise with a good high flow panel filter? And what are some good brands? Hows simota??
  9. Turning car back to stock, need R33 GTST factory boost solenoid with bottom hose and t-peice... pm me if you have
  10. Ok, im trying to sell my car but not having much luck as of yet, in the mean time im thinking of turning it back to stock to cut down my fuel consumption... Therefore if your interested in the following let me know and if we agree on the price ill remove em and send em your way! (Pick up prefered (newcastle, nsw) will post at buyers expense) First up is an r33 gtst exhaust. Its a mild Steel X-force system, RRP $1,100. Consists of 3" bell mouth dump, high flow cat, then 3.5" to back with resonator and Drift Style Cannon Muffler. Its a direct bolt on system and is relativley easy to install (loosening the bolts around the turbo is the hardest bit). I did it myself with a couple ramps bought from supercheap to raise the car (think they cost me $40 for the 2). Exhaust is in good condition with the usual minor under car scratches etc. Asking price: $500 Neg. Secondly im selling my Turbo Smart Dual Stage Boost Controller. RRP $299. Basically lets you switch between 2 boost settings from a switch you can mount in your dash. The boost controller under the hood has two dials one for each boost setting. Good condition. Works fine, i prefered how it built boost over say the turbotech manual boost controller (i threw that out), i just need to find a standard boost solenoid before i can send it to you! http://www.turbosmartonline.com/index.php?id=43 Asking price: $150 Neg. As i said im in Newcastle... pm me if your interested.
  11. Vehicle1996 NISSAN SKYLINE R33 GTS-T series 2 Price$16,990 Kilometres69,000 BEAUTIFUL CAR! Series 2 R33 GTST Skyline with low level modifications. Excellent condition, low km’s, first australian owner, serviced every 10k, reliable, quick, well looked after. Negotiable. Sadly selling my 96 Series 2 R33 GTST, unfortunately I can only afford one car and do a lot of driving so i need to get something cheaper to run around in. This car is a joy to drive. Quick and nimble it offers an incredible driving experience. Skylines are amazing cars. I've owned the car for about a year now, bought it from an import yard completely stock. I'm the first Australian owner of the car and during the brief time I've had the pleasure of driving this car I've spent a lot of time and money in basic upgrades for the vehicle. (See list below). The car has very low km's, (under 70,000kms) and is in excellent condition. I've serviced it every 10k since i've owned it and recently put new front and rear brake pads and spark plugs in. The car has never been involved in an accident and has been driven by a mature, responsible driver who has a passion for these cars. I've never had a problem with the car, RB25DET = quality motor. Car has been well looked after and maintained obsessively almost at the cost of a marriage!! Always run on 98 octane fuel, car has never been raced/put on a track, solely used as a daily driver/cruising car (that's why its an Auto, and still a very quick car), and never been smoked in. Car was purchased for 14-15k, some upgrades include: Full Window Tint 25% - $270 Mongoose Alaram, Keyless Entry w/ Imobiliser, Clarion 6" Splits front, Clarion 6" Rear, Pioneer Deck - $840 19" RSGT Xfactor Rims, Nexan Low Profile Tyres - $2300 r34 Side Mount intercooler - $200 Turbosmart Dual Stage Boost Controller and boost guage - $280 3a Racing Power Stack Pod Filter and Black Poly Carbonate Heat Shield - $160 Xforce Full Exhaust System 3" Dump, High Flow Cat, 3.5" to back Drift Cannon Muffler (have silencer for it too and still have the full factory exhaust if buyer wants it they can have it free with the car) $700 GTR Spoiler - $300 Blue Undercar Neons - $50 (second hand) New front and rear brake pads - $150 New spark plugs - $20 Total spent on car over $20,000. Great way to save money by purchasing a car that already has upgrades!! Selling car for $16,990, price is negotiable! Gimme a call or sms me anytime, if i don't answer I'm probably at work! Serious buyers only please . Alex 0413 881 253 Newcastle, NSW
