  1. ^^^ providing the block isn't older than the car?!? Is that still the rule? A rb30 block is older than all 32-34 series GTR's.
  2. Yes they will be.
  3. You're stroking it a whole 2 mm. Hardly worthwhile (gains vs cost) when there are setups with longer strokes that still fit in the stock block out there.
  4. Farken pain in the ass! I know Unigroup took delivery of one of these the other day when I was out there. NFI who's car it was going on though.
  5. Any other results yet?
  6. Lol. You're like a dog with a bone, Dan! Haha
  7. But isn't the problem with the design if the engine itself? Ever seen an RB in a dyno without the cam gear cover on? The belt flops around like nothing else. That "flopping around" must result in some sort of timing fluctuations, would it not? Timing taken off a sensor which is driven by a big rubber band won't be doing anyone any favours... Enter the crank trigger. It's only been in the last 3 or so years the timing variance/scatter/whatever you want to call it has really been spoken about. It would be interesting to ask the supra guys if they have the same issues as us with FC's. They have a crank trigger from factory.
  8. I wouldn't be so sure with that, man. Terry had huge timing issues on his blue R34 GTR (PFC) years ago.
  9. It isn't stock, it's 90 mm thick.
  10. Without crank trigger With crank trigger. I can't remember now if the without crank trigger was done on the FC or the Link G4, it's been a few years since I put that on. Either way, that timing variation with the timing taken from the CAS is woeful at best. Both graphs taken from my own car.
  11. Because the Quaife rear was only released last year. I know of one bloke that went from the Nismo GT pro in the rear to a quaife and loves it. He also has the quaife front and extra friction plates in the transfer case.
  12. FC goes, "cough" goes. Coincidence? I think not.
  13. ^^^ I got the "cough" with Nismo AFM's.
  14. It comes with one. My coppermix has been in the car since 2005. Over 350 launches, 7000 rpm plus launches. Started life holding 370 kw, now holding 470 rwkw. No rebuilds, no slipping, no nothing. Set and forget. With the Yen so weak ATM, you should be able to have one at your doorstep for under $2k. You even get a Nismo sticker!!!!!
  15. Nismo coppermix twin plate. Drives almost like a stocker, takes a raping harder than a hooker, lasts for ages. Job done.
  16. Oh how views have changed!
  17. No idea about turbo but what box do you have in mind to handle this weapon?
  18. It will be intersting to see the results with the speed sensor, considering it's on the side of a 3.0.
  19. Didn't Paul Deimar and Andrew Hawkins do a back to back on CRD's dyno? There was 2 KW in it.
  20. Why not just get a new set of -5's? They're is only a bee's dick of difference (not really worth writing home about), brand new and no risk.
  21. A second hand PFC and a set of Nismo AFM's is the best bit of $1,500. A decent ECU like a G4 is only a few hundred more. It's a no brainer. You get a car that drives so much nicer and is crisper under the foot.
  22. $2k for a G4, installed and tuned? I'll take 10!
  23. Plus one for driving better with the newer ECU's. It's night and day!
  24. 700 rpm is night and day. 200 rpm is heaps!!! Area under the curve just makes the car so much nicer to drive!
