  1. Cheers guys, That is the exact problem I presented to the lecturer, He didn't respond however.... Detailed analysis on what, why, how things are done to modern (competing) race cars are very secretive, which almost means half this assignment HAS to be bullshitted. He seems like he's happy to accept bullshit :-ss ?? Both very good options that I didn't really consider though. I'll have a look into NASCAR, hopefully I don't get the same issues like other modern forms of racing. Group B could also work well, as I have used a bit of info from the 1960's Lotus Formula one team as reference points. Thanks Bill
  2. Hi All, Just thought I'd see if anybody could help me with research on one part of my 8,000 word report for uni... I'm absolutely stumped in finding the right article or book for this part of the assessment. I have to do a Literature review on an article, book, journal, case study etc from a credible source. In the literature review I have to, (Describe racing cars you find in the literature, include key features of the design of a racing car. Describe sizes, materials used, optimum speed, specifications of cars available on the market. Aesthetic requirements of the car and any other details you find in your literature review). One thing which is off limits is, Formula 1, becuase every second student I speak to is just copying and pasting from their website. I was hoping to find an article/book/journal which would have in depth design details and specs on the z-tune or any other nissan based race car. If that is too difficult, then any car will suffice as long as it's not formula 1 and is a race car. If anyone can link me articles, journals and such that would be good for the above, that would be GREATLY appreciated as I'm really struggling. Cheers in advance Bill

If someone could chop the wheels i'd really appreciate it. Or if not, could someone give me an idea on how people chop wheels/kits etc. Pics are attached below, to help out, I've put up a few, hopefully it helps. and sorry for such large pics, don't know how to make them smaller :-s Thanks again
  6. Congratulations http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Th...Gro-t81129.html You most likely purchased an item which was either second hand, or with a maximum of 1 or 2 functions. These are commercial GPS trackers, used for company fleets or trucks and even a weekend car. These products come with a 12 month repair warranty, and actually are guaranteed to give the result you want. I'm more than happy to talk to the supplier and actually get the work out of the way for everybody here, for the Tracker 'you' bought, but in the meantime, it's just trash talk Lol List up the supplier costs and contacts, and opening up the option for your tracker might even be better. The tracking device you purchased does not give the same functions which are included in this one. Refer back to the advertisement. If you do a bit of research and you'll find legitimate tracking devices are typically $300 and over, not including monthly or yearly fees in some cases. But I don't mind if nobody wants this. No Loss for me, I just thought it would be useful ??
  7. Hey Guys, I am organising a group buy for a GPS/GPRS/GSM Motor Vehicle Tracking device. The general idea of this item is a fool proof way to track the where abouts of your car. The GPS system requires a Sim card inserted in the device, i.e. Prepaid/Plan whatever suits you, The GPS is then connected to the motor vehicle and concealed. In the instance of your motor vehicle being stolen, all it requires is a SMS to be sent to the devices' number, and then it responds with a text specifying the Co-ordinates of your vehicle within 5 metres of it's location. Go to google maps; type in the co-ordinates and away you go. The main benefit of an item like this is the fact that it provides you with the peace of mind knowing your pride an joy is safe where ever it is parked. 1. Positioning and Tracking: Through the on-line Positioning Platform or the cell phone to locates at whatever time you like, and get the working status. 2. Triggering Emergency Alarms (SOS button): When there is an emergency, you can activate a function on the unit which will send out alarms to the authorized numbers. 3. Remote Monitoring: Anywhere and Anytime, call the phone number in the unit, when it connects, you can monitor the sound 5 meters around the vehicle. 5. Monitor vehicle Movement Alerts: Send an SMS to the unit to start the movement alert function. When begins to move, the unit will send an sms alert about the movement to all the Authorized numbers. 6. Speeding Alerts: You can send an SMS to the unit to start the speeding alert function. Once the vehicle is overspeed, the unit will send the overspeed alert to all authorized numbers. (Similar to the fucntions used by Trucking companies). 7. Geo-fence: Set up a geo-fence for the unit to restrict its movements within a district. The unit will send the message to all authorized numbers when it breaches the district. 8. This unit is also compatible with the original anti-theft alarm: It will the authorized number an SMS after the Alarm has been activated. So effectively your not paying for an expensive GPS system with a monthly fee for tracking. It is based on a one time payment for the unit, and how many SMS's you send to the unit. Now to the item specific details: Dimensions are: 85 MM by 63 MM by 25 MM Weight: 170 Grams Network: GSM or GPRS or GPS Sensitivity: 158dBm Accuracy: 5 Metres Voltage: 10-36V Battery: Re-Chargeable and Changeable Li-ion 1500 Standby time: is approximately 48 hours Operating Temperatures: -20Celcius to 85Celcius Now to the Nitty Gritty: As we all know that the saftey of our pride and joy is the most important. So I decided to contact a supplier in China. Great Wall Technology company and see what I can do in terms of getting these to Australia for as cheap as possible. Ultimately as everyone states, I couldn't get a large discount for small purchases but it almost still seems to be worth it. Items like these retail on the Market for in excess of $400 for constant surveillance. This unit itself has a RRP of $299. However I can get these for $259 a pop. So that Includes the Item, shipping from the supplier to myself, and then postage from me to you. This will all have a turn around of approximately 10 business days. I am not stocking this item myself so I can't help in terms of making this timeframe any quicker. The minute these items arrive to me I'll be shipping them off once again to the buyer (Pickup also available from Western Sydney). The Catch: As you all understand to make it fair I have to adhere to the forum rules. So Single items will not be for sale. Also to make this all possible and to get the discount off the Supplier, I have to purchase the item in Quantities of 5. So the group buy will function in this manner: Start time: 07/07/10 End Date: 07/10/10 (Exactly 3 Months) I will be taking orders on a fortnightly basis to purchase these as a group. So I will specify a date below that order will be placed. Anybody who is wanting to purchase this product, will simply PM me for my bank account details, transfer the money and wait for the order date to recieve confirmation. To get rid of the hassles of organising people, I will take an order regardless of how many people want the item. However on the order date, if I do not have 5 people who have deposited funds and are ready to take delivery of the item, i will present them with two option: 1. You can have your money refunded as the order has not gone through by the specified order date. or 2. You can opt to wait it out till the next order date (Following fortnight) too see if we can get 5 people together to place an order then. and it just continues on like that. You can opt to keep waiting until 5 people get together for the group buy, or I can just refund your money. Please note: I can't purchase individual units. It was difficult enough organising a discount for the purchase of 5. Dates that I will be placing orders 2010: (Order Placed) Monday the 19th of July - Minimum 5 orders otherwise order placed on the next date and so on. (Order Placed) Monday the 2nd of August - (Order Placed) Monday the 16th of August - (Order Placed) Monday the 30th of August- (Order Placed) Monday the 6th of September - (Order Placed) Monday the 20th of September - (Order Placed) Monday the 4th of October - Group Buy ends. So these are all the details for the group buy. Hopefully it can work, so we can get these versatile units down here If anyone has any questions, feel free to PM me, Write here or Msg me on 0430 939 742 But remember, if your interested, PM me and i'll provide you with the respective details and place your order according to the above schedule, as it's not possible for me to order individual units for one off order. Cheers Bill P.s Pics Attached below.
  8. Just curious to know, do all the guys driving these exotics actually know people that own them? Because That's absolutely mental... My car experience has to be the most boring out there. I've only every driven a stock EVO8 MR, which was pretty fun as it was a good friends, and he let me boot it around corners. My old R33 was ok, nothing like the EVO though, and I've only ever sat in 1 GTR in my life which was an R32 about 300ish awkw and I only passengered in that but was still worth it. Lol Every person I sort of know that owns something exotic, is usually a friend of a friend, and they never even drive these things anyway because they're always working 6-7 days a week. I.e R35 x 1, F430 x 1, SLK 55 AMG x 1
  9. Hey Guys, No longer available. Has been picked up by somebody. Cheers
  10. $250 for whats left in the package... It's just collecting dust, and it's a pretty good price.
  11. Yep, Its mostly doorman, bouncering, but not often, and not for big venues. I am trying to stick with factory sights, schools residentail areas, and it gives the same result. Also, so your saying they pretty much cover a proportion of income which should be declared, in non-deductible expenses?
  12. Hai everybody, So i've been introduced to the world of cash in hand wages. Previously working in accounting and moving to security, I can't seem to get any jobs/employers who want to pay my super, tax etc etc... Naturally it waves a red flag. First thing first is I don't want to take the risk of working cash in hand, which is illegal, secondly how do these employers and employees actually get away with is. I've thought of every possible way in my accounting knowledge and there's no solution. So what are they doing to not get busted? why are they doing this? What is the benefit besides tax evasion which is risky? Anyone else out there with knowledge, business owners accountants or whatever, no need for minor details, but shedding light on this would be helpful. Cheers Bill
  13. Hey Guys, Just did some snooping around, I've been getting alot of swap offer for 360's without HDMI. I would prefer an xbox with HDMI. Simply because I like the graphics on that better. I would be willing to swap for an xbox console with HDMI and 1 controller and maybe 1 game, for my PS3 package. However not too keen on a Non HDMI Xbox. Cheers Bill
  14. I'm not sure how many GB it has - but from what i see it's only got 2 usb slots, but i will have to clarify this tonight as i'm at work right now. Will update shortly. I'll let the console go for 300 and with games 420? GT5 - Time crisis 4 Have both been sold And Carbon is missing.
  15. For sale PS3 My Mate bought it ages ago for 700 ish with a game and controller, he played it a couple of times, and got over it. I bought it off him a couple of days ago so I could get into GT5 prologue and GT5 when it eventually comes out, but realised that prologue is absolute shit, and I don't want to get GT5 when it's out, SO I need to buy an Xbox360 with FM3 Here's exactly what is for sale: Playstation 3 Console (Just a normal one - Not slim) 1 Controller with that charging Hub thingy HD cable All other cables Time Crisis Gun Games are: Need for speed carbon Call of duty 4 - Modern warfare Time crisis 4 Metal gear solid 4 Assasin's creed The godfather - The don's edition Unreal tournament Gran turismo 5 - Prologue Robert Ludlum's - The bourne conspiracy Grand theft auto - IV Condition of everything is near new, as my friend who had it before me isn't much of a gamer and bought the console out of boredom, and didn't use it much. Most of the games were given as gifts. As for Price - Firstly I'd gladly swap for an XBOX 360 package (Console - 2 controllers - HD cable - Forza 3) in equally good condition. If not that, then I'm not too sure what it would sell for, just throw me a price and i'll consider it. If you want to contact me, my names Bill and I can be called on 0430939742 - Location western suburbs NSW Cheers
  16. Still for sale, price is negotiable. Rego due at the end of Feb, so willing to work around that

  18. For sale is a Mitsubishi EVO 8 GSR (Jap spec) Kilometers: 56,xxx Transmission: 6 speed manual Prce: $33,900 (No swaps or trades) This car is owned by a friend of mine who wanted me to advertise it here for him. He is the first Australian owner, and has taken care of this car meticulously. He is extremely fussy and makes sure everything stays perfect in the car, as you will be able to tell by looking at the car in real life, or even the photos. It has been serviced every 5,000 km on the dot, using Royal purple and washed on a weekly basis. The car is also a rare factory black. There are not many EVO 8's on the market selling in this colour. The only upgrade done to this car, was replacing the clutch with an Exedy sports organic clutch less than 2 months ago (Reciepts). Otherwise the car is completely stock. He had plans to Modfy the car further however, is now looking to save for a house. The car has a 3 point imobiliser with a digital siren. Has never been in an accident. Comes with japanese log books (Will confirm) was most probably an Auction grade 4.5 (Will also need to confirm) Contact: Here Please only serious buyers

  20. Hey Everyone, Up for sale is my motorbike gear, Good brands for a good price. Great for a learner rider, who doesn't want to blow a tonne on branded gear at RRP. Condition of everything is practically new, as I didn't own the bike for long and sold it once I had my P's. http://www.cbr250.com/cbr250/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=60220 Cheers Bil
