After a little spirited driving last night my car started to miss pretty bad so i pulled over put it in neutral and free revved it and it would rev up to around 3500rpm sometimes 4500rpm then drop straight back to idle while i was still at the same throttle postion and if i tried to correct it with more throttle it would just miss terribly and take a while before it would rev to limiter. Ive heard of a safe mode could it be this because i went home disconnected the battery and it ran perfectly again It happened again tonight but i just pulled over and it started working again perfectly without disconnecting the battery Im guessing it could be AFM does that sound right or could it be coilpacks? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Hey guys last night after having a bit of a spirited drive i pulled over and turned the car off all of a sudden my passenger and i noticed smoke coming from where the stereo sits behind the dash (Head Unit is currently out). Now i have bypassed the heater core because it had rusted out and it did smell a little like coolant but i dont understand how it could be heating up, is there anything else it could be? Is it just the two hoses that run in and out of the heater core? It appears that at one stage my car might have had an aftermarket temp gauge because the top hose is cut in half and has an orange insert there with what looks like a copper wire running thru the firewall should i need to block this off aswell? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Cheers

Really looking for a clean non-turbo C33 Laurel. Would consider an immaculate good looking A31 Cefiro. Maybe even consider a turbo one if its an absolute sleeper. Preferably manual but would take auto at the right price. Just shoot me a PM if u have what im looking for!

That is what is most frustrating about these new laws when you see people who clearly cant drive but still hold a license AND can own a high performance vehicle. I am 17 and have been on my red P's for almost a year and cannot agree more with actual driving experience being the key to becoming a decent and safe driver on the road and that can only come with actual time on the road. I also agree with the fact that fast cars can kill inexperienced drivers very quickly but in saying that fast cars can kill anyone who cant handle them and no matter how much general on road experience you have unless you have undertaken an advanced driver training course or participate in some form of motorsport how would any person whether they are 17, 25, or even 50 be better equipped to handle a fast car or understand its limits. Its just that the over 25's are supposedly more mature and are trusted to not use the car to its full potential on the road but why would any person buy a car with that sort of potential without the intentions of occasionally giving it a push even on public roads. I think that P-Plater's should be able to undertake an advanced driver training course to obtain a license for a Turboed, Supercharged or V8 vehicle. I thinks its also extremely important that the younger generation be shown how dangerous a car can actually be whether its fast or slow because even in a slow 4cyl car it is still possible to kill yourself when you dont understand how easy it is to lose control of a car. GEEZ I SOUND LIKE SOME OLD FART So all in all i agree and disagree with the laws and this is coming from a person who wishes they could own a turbo car. END RANT
