  1. what specific function of consult III are you after? Nissan Datascan III might cover it if its a consult specific function thats not available over OBDII.
  2. you should be able to use generic OBDII scanner/tools on it? otherwise take a look at Nissan Datascan III
  3. What vehicle/engine/year is it for?
  4. Nistune wouldn't affect the benefit you get from resetting (clearing some long term fuel trim etc). Would be sane with or without Nistune
  5. not sure darwin will be as much of an issue as what looks like a $100k price tag (edit: my bad, obviously still drunk from last night, just the font on the site makes 0's and o's look the same sometimes) good luck!
  6. ive done this twice with my thread over past week (as in reported it) but nothing has happened - does it normally work? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/444650-my08-wrx-hatch-58226-kms-17700-rego-rwc-leather-seats/ trying to get my phone removed from that thread as im still getting calls about the car (and since i cant edit thread, i cant put SOLD in the title or anything more obvious than my 'sold' reply at the end)
  7. doubt many people actually bought it considering they were charging $600 before ecutalk came out, and perhaps $200 which is still way too much, after it came out. about the only one who may have any idea would be caz from cazracing (no longer in business) who tried it herself (as she was a reseller i imagine). aus300zx forums might be best place to find her if she's still active
  8. realistic offers with minimal info and no pics... im guessing you're thinking like 4-5k?
  9. thats only a small subset of all possible users, if you can then use other bluetooth devices on a jailbroken phone. but better to focus efforts on android which (i havent checked, but guessing) is less restrictive, and look to be taking over iphone in terms of sales etc.
  10. not unless apple are changing how they operate and are making the serial port or bluetooth accessible for dev...
  11. someones already done that: http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=306974
  12. i wouldnt hold your breath, particularly while apple dont change their stance in wanting you to pay money to them for anything at all you want to do.
  13. Item Description: Have a black GReddy Intelligent Informeter for sale, as new condition (bought new and never used). Purchased for 37,800 yen ($430) + shipping a while ago, so comes with box and the nissan/obdii cables and the cig lighter plug (I think this is only if the OBDII port isnt powered, most are). Location: Blacktown, Sydney, NSW Website: http://www.modyourcar.com.au/greddy-intelligent-informeter--silver-p4796 Item Condition: As New Reason for selling: Dont need it Price and price conditions: $250 Extra Info: See the mod your car link for more info. Also here.
  14. yeah id get a new one, especially if you dont know when you last changed it (or never have). may not fix it but it rules out one potential cause if it doesnt. but try disconnect it first just to see what happens.
  15. AAC going up means ECU is trying to raise idle, so good that theres probably no issue with CAS etc. is your minimum O2 sensor voltage always 0.4v? any logs with it lower? can you try disconnect it and see what the effect is. hard to tell if the AFR is never getting lean enough for it to read lower, or just (more likely) its old and needs replacing. hard to know if it's a direct cause. most likely cause would be AAC or other idle air valves etc (not sure what other things the skyline has). that it sits on AAC 10% and idles fine (when it is fine - i did you get logs of this period of operation?) i thought you can post zip files here...
  16. the speed sensor input to the ECU is normally seperate to the gauge cluster.
  17. you have no speed reading, you havent cut the speed sensor wire or anything have you? im not sure what impact this will have given ive never done it. try turning the log checkbox on before showing gauges next time, then you can post the raw logs that show all the readings. e.g. the time the RPM drops to 600, really depends what the AAC is doing before/after as to whether it looks like ECU is trying to catch the RPM fall or not. when timing is a solid 15 shows that ecu isnt pulling the timing back to reduce idle rpm (which it will do if idle screw set too high, think it will also add/remove fuel to reduce rpm to some extent).
  18. AAC should be lower than 30 (ideally lower than 20) when warm. too high and have stalling etc issues. if its too high, often can be brought down by turning idle screw whilst watching it. stop turning once it stops going down (then maybe a slight turn back to where it starts going up again). thats the quick and dirty method without timing light and so on.
  19. ecutalk and OBD scantech are best of the free ones. obd scantech can be downloaded from the consult cable page on ecutalk website.
  20. E7 is ABS try C5, im not sure what it is. ICC i think was what i wrote down for it, whatever that is.
  21. when ive got some time ill try get the consult2 out and sus it out. if there are any official listing of the names of the data sensors, and active tests, from the service manual (i.e. like how most service manuals have, in the EC section, an on-board diagnostics bit which lists all the data sensors/active tests and what they mean), that'd make things easier to find.
  22. "basically not", are you saying that you can communicate with the AC control unit (at least on your R33 GTS/whatever real model it is), i.e. it exists on the consult bus?
  23. yeah i have a feeling that most (aside from GTR) skylines have very few control units available via consult. Z32 and GTR have lots by comparison
