Hi guys, chasing demons in my cefiro, it's an rb25 with rb20 loom and rb20 powerfc running an rb20 CAS and it's decided to not start, i've replaced the ignitor loom with a newy but no dice, I'm now testing the cas and AFM as i get 0.4v - 0.8v on my ignitor wires (engine loom side) when cranking and thus no spark, the injectors however are pulsing (and flooding). i've voltage tested the cas by removing and turning it by hand it primes the pump and get's 12v power, 2v to 200 degrees 5v to 1 degree etc when turning but still no ignitor pulse other than 0.4 - 0.8v, so i'm wanting to try a different CAS. My main question at the moment is can i use my spare rb25 CAS instead of the rb20 CAS to test if the cas is working, as far as i can see from wiring diagrams the 12v,GND 1degree and 200degree signals are on the same pins. i'm aware that using an rb25 cas on an rb20 loom with an rb25 ecu is incorrect as the ecu pinouts are different, but surely with an rb20 ecu fitted swapping CAS's should be fine if the pins are the same. Are there any other diferences i should be aware of between CAS's? thanks guys

Hi guys looking for a cefiro ignitor, just bought a new coil pack loom and rewired the ecu side thinking it would fix the intermitent ignition cut out. But it didn't, only thing left to do is try another ignitor so has anyone got one that is surplus to requirements That they'd be willing to part with? Cheers guys, Vic

Hi Guys, I'm after a pair of inner cv cups (5 bolts) from an r33 diff, as i'm using an r33 diff in an e30 bmw but didn't get shafts with it. I didn't want to butcher a perfectly good set of shafts so i thought i'd check if anyone had any cups from any broken shafts lying around. Cheers. Vic.

Have done the same thing as i've got a rb20 powerfc and have the car starting fine, just switched across all rb20 sensors, igniters cas etc and used the rb20 loom, i've even changed the injector plugs so i can use the rb25 side feeds since impedance is the same. My only issue is with aac valve, as far as i can see the rb20 has only one 2 pin plug for the solenoid (yellow) while the rb25 aac has the browny/red plug on one solenoid and a purple one the another. What plug on the rb20 loom corresponds with the purple and red/browny plugs? Am i missing something obvious? I'm sure this info would help anyone else attempting to use the rb20 loom and ecu to run the rb25. As currently my car idles fine until it warms up but then hunts at idle wildly once warm. I wired the yellow plug to the browny red and none to the purple, unplugging the aac changes nothing so i'm assuming i've wired it in correctly.

52mm should be fine as i've installed it on my cef aswell, however i've had to change to thermos and clearance is pretty tight as there was no way the clutch fan would sit there. Even with the 42mm i wasnt comfy with how close it sat, and in the end the clutch fan put a hole in the rad and cooked my motor at wakefield (blades must've gone wonky at high rpm or something). So you've been warned also i found that with the radiators i bought, the top tank diameter was identical regardless, so before buying get them to send dimensions of the rad to you and see if it suits.

Also i know it's a long shot but does anyone have a front passenger air vent surround pretty much every cef i've ever seen has a dodgy one of these but here's hoping ...

My cefs headlights are posessed and i suspect my indicator light switch assembly is the cause does anyone have one of these for sale? Cheers Vic.

Also on a side note the solenoid on the iac is an rb30 one as the motor i got didn't have a solenoid on the iac. i know it's a long shot but it looked to actuate the same way and bolted straight up however the 2 pin plug off it doesn't correspond to the rb20 loom, it has a green and white wire. would anyone hazard a guess as to what colour would be power or ground, and can hooking them up the wrong way round stuff something up on the ecu ?

Hi Guys have pretty much got it all workinghowever idle is not great, and once it warms up the idle hunts like mad. does this sound like i don't have the iac working correct? also what fit s on the purple connector on the iac fromthe rb20 loom? i've only got the solenoid hooked up and i've blocked off the larger diameter pipe and run the smaller diameter pipe after the throttle body.
