So you bought the car and you obviously want to register it in your name yeah..?
If so, then yeah just hide the hole and you'd be fine.
You BOV looks hidden... Where is it located?
I don't think VIC Roads are gonna go Revving / test driving your car, as the car is switched off whilst inspecting the car.
So you BOV won't be heard and if you have hidden it, then you'd probably get lucky...
From my experience when all goes well, mechanic gave me the RWC, took it to VIC Roads in Carlton, the office / inspector guy comes out to look at the car...
Checks the engine and chassis numbers, writes down all + any other numbers they need.
See that you have a RWC.
Fill out all the forms, paper work on their system.
They give you the VIC rego plates and rego sticker, you pay $600+ or whatever for rego, stick it on the widnscreen and screw your plates in, off you go...
ALL CLEAR!
The times I have been to Carlton VIC Roads the seem to don't really care much, as their job is boring and all they do is paper work.
They are not mechanics, so that's why you need the RWC to say the car is roadworthy, cuz they won't know the difference between a wheel and a tyre
Basically if you have the RWC, your pretty much in the clear, this is usually the case.
Keep in mind when a car is stock, it makes things easier to pass, cuz your mechanic is the one who is going to pass you in the first place with the RWC.
Speak to them and see how you go and if things need going back to stock standard, get them to do it.
Return it back to legal mods after you succeed the rego.
