Your lucky R31Nismoid has not closed your thread, as there have been a few threads about this and Ash is a true believer in the stock air box FTW. Your gonna get mixed answers here, cuz its personal preferance and experiance. I have to HKS pods as it came with the car and they are doing fine. I would say stock air box or upgraded high flow panel filters are good for about 300 to 400 kWs. Pods are very good for high end tuned performance cars. As for stock, it does not make much of a difference, pod or panel filter. Ask Johnny, he did a test on his R34 GTR with an APexi panel filter then twin APexi pod filters and he had quite a gain in kW's.

Run a diagnostics to check both your O2 Sensors, if they are both cycling on the metre then they are fine and no need to change. High flow cat is alway good as you have a GTR I put one ASAP. Next time before you fill up, run the fuel tank low to about 1/4 left and put a whole can of injector cleaner in and then fill up with BP Ulitmate (I use IMO) Next service change your Fuel Filter.

Yes Tyson, RICE = To what you said but it has no Performance Gain, hence the word rice = All Show, No Go. Thats what hoons do. "big exhaust puts you more in the "hoon" bracket than neons do" = LOL! Your gonna get ya ass ripped apart for saying this... Yes put a big exhaust on a little 4 banger, which does not improve its performance then yeah your a hoon. BUT Your telling me (For Example) you would rather have a stock R34 GTR with neons then a R34 GTR with a performance exhaust..? If I made a thread and put a Poll and Vote, I would guarantee you 99% if not 100% ppl are going to vote R34 GTR with Performance Exhaust. Anyway back to your neons. Auto barn can help you out there and if it helps, don't use it all the time or leave them on all night cuz it might just drain your battery. Or install a 2nd battery in your boot to power it.

Thats pretty much your answer. Reason you are getting the 'Dose' noise is because the air is being pushed back into the turbo = Compressor Surge. The whole point of the standard plum-back / recirculate BOV is to prevent Compressor Surge. Air gets pushed into the intake not the turbo. You DON"T want Compressor Surge or say good buy to your turbo.

N1 built engine = All N1 upgrades of internals and N1 turbos, which run 1.1 Bar Boost (15.9 Psi) from factory as opposed to the +0.7 or +0.8 Bar from what the standard model GTR's ran. No A/C, Radio / CD player, rear and boot carpets and rear windscreen wiper and came with a carbon fibre bonnet all to save weight. Its based on a V-Spec II R34 GTR, so it will have very firm suspension and a lower ride height. Larger rear disk rotors, front and rear defusers to allow the air to flow better under the car and a few updated readings in the MFD and a slightly different trim for the interiour. Mr. Iron Chef owns one so he knows what Im on about. LOL! Cool!
