  1. I think 186kw is at all 4 wheels and 244kw is at the flywheel. On the RB20 note, R32, 33 and 34s did come out with 2lt inline 6. A member just resently made a thread about his R34 coming with a 2 lt engine.
  2. You be suprised of what it can do. I do believe to works, but make sure you get the right angle, but best to leave it in its standard position. As Bakes said, anything under 120km/h you won't notice anything.
  3. Got the mag at Shell Servo after work today. Main points are, how ppl had 2nd thoughts on how the car would perform but it was a killer of a car on street and track. RB26DETT HICAS ATTESA ET-S Saying how back in 90's it did 0-400 km/h in 4.8 secs, same as todays HSV W427. Hence Japan achived this performance 18 years ago. History on Bathurst. AUS delivered R32 GTR's and how they differed from JDM. Price on a ADM vs JDM R32 GTR Good and Bad points Overall one of the best performance cars for the money you pay today. Also came with a FHM mag with Lara Bingle on the front. Lara Bingle FTW
  4. Plenty around. If not rebuilds. Well my mechanic has a good source of parts he can get a hold of it not rebuild them. Any import place can order parts for you from Japan or their suppliers.
  5. You can always light weight the R33, so pull out the rear carpets, rear seats, subwoofers, install a carbon fibre boot lid. LOL! Just a suggestion. Support..? You mean getting the car serviced? If so there are a lot. Don't worry too much, but as long as you get a trustworthy mechanic and they KNOW what they are doing.
  6. I believe the S13, 14 and 15's, 180SX and Skyline R32's used Garret T28 turbo chargers. They had ceramic internals, which can take a lot of heat but are not as strong as steel internals and keep in mind these cars are over 10 - 15 years old and will need replacing / rebuilding sooner or later. BTW I think the S15 was upgraded to steel internals (Stronger) and was a ball bearing turbo charger - quicker spooling for the turbine blades. 180SX were in production from 1989 - 1998. R33 was from 1995 - 1998. I think the 180SX has more of a 'Classic' look due to the hatch back styling. Better interior, maybe cuz Skylines are seen as the type of cars above the Silvias and 180SX, so they gota better look. In my opinion I really don't car about the interior, it does nothing, performance wise, its all just for looks. Personaly I like the look of the 180SX better, Red or White body with Black roof, Vertex bodykit and Nismo LMGT4 wheels = Looks sick! BTW Nismo LMGT4 wheels are NOT pictured. LOL!
  7. Well I would say its easier to take advantage of the power in a RB25DET. Were talking an extra 2 cylinders and 500cc and you will get a lot more torque out of it as well. Just by looking at the Just Jap website in NSW, the prices seem quite similar. Your list of mods and prices range from... FMIC - $399 - $550 (Various Brands) Air Pod - $89 - $99 (APexi and HPI Brand) You could probley just goto Auto Barn and get a 3A Racing one for like $50 or whatever. Exhaust - $999 - $1099 (HKS and Kakimoto Brand) Boost Controller - $599 - $699 (HKS and APexi Brand) You will be spending about the same amount (Brands differ in price) that do the same job, hence you can gain a higher out put with just these bolt ons on a R33 to the 180SX. Preferbley get the mods professionaly installed. (Mechanic or import car tuning place). R33 will cost abit more in petrol. Insurance with Just Cars, you can get quotes on both cars and you'd figure the R33 will cost more, but not really the case, a 180SX might cost you the same.
  8. For starters, the R33 is going to cost you more already due to its 6 cylinders as opposed to the 180SX with 4. If money is tight for you, I go 180SX, as you still can get a bit of power out of it and may be slightly easier on fuel, depending on how heavy your right foot is. With the mods you mentioned, I say the R33 will be quicker off the mark and wins at top end speed. Then again it depends on how much you wanna spend on mods...
  9. Depending on what type of look you got on the car. To me, eyelids look tacky / cheap, but from some angels, it can make the car look tuff. Also the R34 has pretty mean looking head lights already. Later I'll post a pic of a R34 GTR Nismo S-Tune with eyelids and looks pretty good.
  10. Now that you said that and I had another look at the item, your right. You can see the aerial retracted in.
  11. Cool. I take a look at the 7 Eleven after work.
  12. I'l have a guess at the 2nd item, its the windscreen wiper mechanisim...
  13. FHM + R32 GTR mag = sounds good. Still on for sale?
  14. R34 GTR - Standard GTR R34 GTR V-Spec - As of above with firmer suspension, lower ride height, front air defuser under the car to keep air flow running smoothly under thr car and 2 extra readings on the MFD, which were Intake and Exhaust Gas Temperatures. R34 GTR V-Spec II - As of above with even firmer suspension, larger rear brake rotors and carbon fibre bonnet.
  15. My bad. I probley just mask everything up and just spay paint it where it is. LOL!
  16. ^^Thats about right.
  17. and any of Abu's wheels.
  18. ^^ Lol, Im just saying... I don't really get into traffic jams, but at times where your driving to say the city and there is part were there can be a jam. Not saying deliberatly drive to one.
  19. What if were all stuck in a traffic jam and the car has to sit an idle?
  20. I read that too, on Wikipedia tho and I don't really count Wiki as solid info.
  21. Just out of curiosity, why do you want to remove it? If so, I think its a bit of a job as it is mounted to the engine block and you'd probley have to move afew bits of your piping and belts to get it off. If your doing it to save weight, remove your airconditioner.
  22. On a cold morning I just let it idle for about 2-3mins, just to get the fluids circulating. Then start driving it keeping off boost. Till about 5 mins of driving, it should be fine to hit boost.
  23. ^^Yeah crazy man! Looks so good from every angle with the pumped guards.
  24. +1 Here also... No need to explain whats under the bonnet cuz you all know. BTW is it a RB26DETT with single hight mount conversion..?
