  1. My ignition barrel is shot and any nissan key even a blank key will be able to start up the car. It was already like that when i bought the car. Plus the key is so worn out that it can start the car and open the driver side door only. It cannot open the passanger door and bonnet. So . . . . I am looking for Skyline HR33/ER33 lock set. 4-door sedan. Ignition barrel, Right door lock, Left door lock, Rear boot lock. If got glove box lock, even better. Must have at least 1 original master key. Must be willing to post to Brunei Darussalam. Thank you.
  2. GTSBoy. That would mean I still need to get high comp pistons prolly around the 10:x:x mark?
  3. Ben C34. Seems so. Plus the compression is the same for both engines 9:0:1
  4. I have already done two General overhauls, All the Gaskets plus seals, piston rings etc have all been changed. On the 2nd overhaul, the connecting rod bearings were damaged so we had to rebore the crankshaft and use 0.25mm bearings instead. Main bearings were changed as well. Our R31's odometer comes in miles so it has already travelled 238,332miles which is equivalent to 383,558km.
  5. Ok. As per topic. Hope this is the right place for this post and yes I have read the RB30 Twincam conversion PDF many times now. I just want to make sure, if a R33 RB25DET head with VVT blocked off can fit onto a RB30 block, then the same can be done for the reverse. I just need to block off the VVT feed from the RB25DET block and everything will bolt on, fit and run perfectly? Right? Reason for doing this is because my RB30 block is already worn out, needs to be re-bored and 86.5mm pistons installed etc. Pistons sets are not cheap. RB25DET blocks are plenty here and I was thinking why not use them. Our RB30's here are all carburetted hence I would like to keep that setup. I'm just looking for opinions. Thanks.
  6. As per title, anyone has a nissan part number of a stock N/A Rb30e oil pump? Thanks.
  7. So just use a hose and plum it to the HKS wastegate. Got it. Thanks.
  8. HKS GT2530KAI Turbo question Please take a look at the image and can anyone tell me what is suppose to be plummed there? The turbo is used hence i do not know what the previous owner did with the turbo. Thanks.
  9. Engine is RB30E. Can i have the part numbers for the valve seals and how many do i need and part numbers for the piston rings. Thanks.
  10. Ok time to finalize things here. Got a spare gauge, installed it and..............it's the same. lol Just got an stock oil pressure sender today, installed it and it works. Sender is next to oil filter. It doesn't drop to 0 anymore when engine is in idle. Problem solved. Damn oil pressure sender.
  11. Understood. Thanks for clearing up the doubts.
  12. Maybe the sensor is not working properly. Either that or it's the gauge. But my engine is RB30S so it's a bit different i think. The sensor is located at the engine bay passanger side. I do have a spare sensor so maybe i'll chuck it in tomorrow and see. The picture is before i fixed the hose at the bottom.
  13. Something's been bugging me for a while. I have a stock ECR33 LSD (center) at my shed which is from a R200 Casing. I know it's a longshot to ask, but will it fit into this R31 R200 Longnose Diff Case? I think the answer is no right?
  14. I think my diff is open as well. Will need a LSD option fitted when my project starts. Hard to find one nowadays. Don't know if mine's 25 or 28 spline axle's. Maybe the Australian Silhouette version will fit. I heard it has 28 spline axles.
  15. Ok solved it, The hose from the sender has cracked due to age. Replace a new one and it's all good. The gauge still reads 0 at idle but when the accelerator is pressed, it goes up.
  16. Yeah, well RB30ET will be unique here as there is no such engine here. Plus it will be on a KCR31 coupe.
  17. ok. I'll check it when i get to work. Not enough garage, had to park the car at the office. Thanks for all the information.
  18. Errrr. Some of my lights on the dash are blown so i don't know if the oil light is on but it drives fine with no problems. Is the sensor the same as that of a ECR33 RB25DET?
  19. Importing a car for parts is outta the question. The laws are quite strict here especially when i don't have an import licence and it's not easy to obtain one either. When the time comes to salvage parts, i hope someone here at SAU will help me gather the bits and pieces that i need to convert it to EFI and turbo. I will need someone with access to both R31 and VL parts. Will make a new thread when the time comes. Be sure to find a big box cause it will be filled up. lol
  20. Ok. On my KCR31 Dash top right hand corner there is an oil press gauge (i think). It shows 0, 60, 120. Now it only shows 0 no matter when the car is cold or at whatever speed. Revving doesn't show anything either. Is the gauge meter or the oil pressure sensor dead and where is the sensor located on a RB30? Thanks.
  21. Just information on the EFI system on the RB30E. Maybe doing a conversion next year and i will need to source alot of parts from Australia. The intake manifold from a VL is the same as that on the R31 so that's settled as i have one here at a local wreck about 100km from where i am lol but that' about it. Other things like injectors, ecu, full uncut wiring harness, sensors, afm, airbox and the lists go on. But i'm getting there slowly. lol Thanks for most of your informations.
  22. I searched all over and it seems Australia didn't have the coupe version (2-door). Even the GTS is a 4-door version. Why is that? I did find out that there are numerous trim levels from Japan and Australia versions. The RB30S is not sold in Japan and more like a export model which is why we can't get any information or parts from Japan. Even FAST doesn't work with any of the vins which has the RB30S Engines. Over here we get the; PJR31 CA20S 4-door CR31 RB30S 4-door KCR31 RB30S 2-door which is the one i have, as pictured above.
  23. nvm i got the lock set already from a fellow Australian. Thanks.
