  1. Hey Brendan..sounds like you're gonna be having a blast driving your car over! hope you and your wife have a great time while you're there and as B2 said..make sure you take loads of pics!
  2. don't really think you would need to pay for advice..just ask the questions here or use the search function..most questions has been covered before already..anyway good luck with finding your car
  3. The keys were not found in the car but i have a spare set for the insurance company to fix the car in the meantime. They would be changing the whole alarm system as well as getting a new set of keys so shouldn't be a problem. And yea..i was scratching my head wondering why they would wanna steal my air freshener when it was almost empty anyway. But the only item worth keeping an eye out for would be the front diffuser as it only fits the R34 GTR Vspec.
  4. Yup, no worries. Will give you a call once I get my car back. Also would recommend any others to install a keypad alarm or GPS tracking device if you don't want to go through what I did when I found out the car was missing. Seems that car thieves are stealing cars nowadays by breaking into people's houses and taking the car keys direct and no security alarm would work with the keys in hand. Just a thought to consider.
  5. Alright guys..damage report time. Stolen: Subwoofer, Amps, Front diffuser, Air freshener on dash, CD pouch, Radar detector Damages: Driver's window and rear quarter panel smashed, a few scratches here and there, centre console ripped out. Nothing else was stolen which was very surprising especially the HKS boost controller and Power-FC controller. A few other things which could be easily taken out (ie. Nismo gear knob, Pivot speed meter, Turbo-timer, DVD player) were left intact which again was very surprising. Should be a pretty easy job for the insurance company to fix. What I reckon is that the thieves either did not know the worth of the items in the car or they realized that almost the whole of Western Australia was looking out for them and they dumped it by the side of the road and other people came along to smash the windows and take the stuff. Either way, I'm very happy with the overall condition of the car and it should be ready on the road again in a month's time. Time to get that keypad alarm and GPS tracking device. Will print a small note to stick on the dash warning potential thieves to think twice about stealing my car again. Also saw another White R32 GTR in the same shop which was stolen and recovered which was in a worse shape than mine. Anyone's car on here? And I want to thank everyone once again for the help and support shown. Really really appreciate it Cheers, Kelvin
  6. hey guys..i wanna thank those who have offered to help me sort this issue out..have had phone calls from forum ppl offering to help as well..really appreciate the help. the car will be towed back to perth city to be assessed by my insurance company so hopefully everything will be sorted out soon..will be seeing the car tmr as well to see the damage..hope its not too bad.. if all goes well, the car should be up and running and ready for some cruises at the end of july!
  7. hey man..sorry to hear about what happened..you definitely got it much worse than me..hope you're feeling better
  8. Hey guys, sorry for the lack of updates as my laptop was stolen as well so it's pretty hard coming onto the forums. Anyway, the good news is that it's been found!! Received a call from the police at Albany police station to notify me that they've found my car. It was found at the side of some road in Albany. Asked about the condition and the cop told me it was "not too bad", just that the windows and stereo was taken out, maybe the electronic stuff as well. Will call them first thing in the morning tmr to find out the exact condition as well as arrange to bring it back to Perth where it belongs Big thx to chris who spotted my car along albany hwy which might have lead to the discovery of my car. Also to all those who had helped me spread the word in a matter of hours! Really touched to see the outpour of support from the car enthusiast community here in WA. Big thanks once again to everyone. I will update you all on the condition once I have seen it in person. Also, could anyone please update the other car forums as well (ie perthwrx, silviawa, perthrotary, wahonda and others that I may have left out as I don't have an account with them) as I don't want to be chased and stabbed driving that car back!! haha Anyway I will be looking to install a keypad alarm as well as a GPS tracking unit once I have it back and if anyone has any contacts for that pls let me know. Thanks!! Cheers, Kelvin
  9. thx for the comments once again guys...the thieves probably was planning this for quite awhile and they would be silly to drive it around..its probably in some dodgy workshop getting chopped up right now..all i can do is hope for the best i guess
  10. Hi guys, thx for the comments. Basically what happened was that I was dead tired from moving house and dozed off leaving my keys and wallet in the living room. What could have happened is that I forgot to lock the door or someone climbed in through the balcony(2nd level) but it seemed for the past few nights someone had been trying his luck opening the door (as my friend was sleeping in the living room). Well he got lucky last night and took my wallet, car keys and laptop. I believe it might be one of my neighbours as they knew which remote key to take for the security gate but I would never know for sure till the cops catches him. I know it was a silly mistake on my part but I do hope I can get the car back soon. I've made a police report and forensics have come into the house but could not find any good fingerprints. I will be calling my insurance company tomorrow to notify them. Details of incident: Time range stolen: 21st June 2009 12am to 1030am Surburb: Rivervale Thx to all those who helped me to post up on the different forums and hopefully I can get my car back soon. My mobile is 0432-012-390 if anyone has any info. Cheers, Kelvin
