Hi Guys and Gals, I am regrettably selling my 2001 Nissan M35 ARX-Four Stagea. I have owned this car since 2008, and imported the car from Japan myself. In this time its been nothing but reliable and a joy to own. The car has done 123,000km. I have since been given a work car, so the Stagea has to go to help pay for the house For those of you who don't know about the features of the M35 ARX-Four - The car has awesome power from the 2.5L V6 Turbo, and the ATTESA ET-S all wheel drive and rear wheel steering is fantastic through the corners and great off road as well. Inside, the car has full leather, auto headlights, heated and electric front seats, six stacker CD, climate control, rear view mirrors that dip when in reverse and fold shut when the car is locked. The rear seats fold fully flat from handles within the boot and creates a huge luggage bay. The car has done many country trips, and this is one of the areas the car excels. Its very comfortable on long distances and the powerful engine makes overtaking an ease. Storage is also impressive with a huge boot along with further storage in pockets and beneath the boot floor. Normally the ARX has black arches and guards, but I have had mine painted the body colour which in my opinion looks a lot better. The radio does not work as standard with Aus frequencies, but I have installed a frequency modifier which receives all the stations. Also included with this car are roof racks. There were no off the shelf roof rack kits that fit the NM35, so I have modified the brackets to take an X-Trail rack foot bolt pattern. These racks are easily removable in a few minutes. *The bike carriers shown in some photos are not included*. The car has recently had a full service, with all drive belts replaced, engine oil and filter, transmission oils and all diff oils, spark plugs, air filter and fuel filter. There is no timing belt to change in this car as it uses a timing chain. Also replaced recently are the brake pads and a full brake bleed. During my ownership I have also put on new front slotted rotors. The car has 245/50 R18 Khumo Ecsta KU31 tyres with 60% life left. I am asking $12,500 for it, but I am negotiable so feel free to make me a reasonable offer! Thanks, Brendan

Hi Guys, Sorry to reopen an old topic, but I am looking to get a roof rack on my M35 and have had the same difficulties finding a suitable one. What model/part number Thule roof rack is it that people have been installing on their M35s, and what have they used for the riser? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Brendan

Awesome! Sounds like those pads cover all the bases. They also seem to beat the Project Mu pads also listed on GSL Rallysport for frictional coefficient. Thanks very much for the info, Ill send Jetpilot1986 a PM later today and order some

Hey Guys, Well my pads are getting near to the wear limits and Im looking to get some new ones. From what I have read on here they are the same as 350Z touring pads? My question is what pads are people using and what are they using the car for? I my car is purely for the street but as I live in the Perth hills the brakes get a good beating every now and then So obviously I dont want a pad thats too aggressive on the rotors or one that has a heat range suited for the track, but at the same time id like slightly increased performance over stock. Does anyone have any recommendations for what pad I should use and where I may find them? Cheers, Brendan

Hi everybody, A while ago I took out one of my mirrors on a pole I didn't see, and I am chasing the left hand wing mirror cover to replace my damaged one. I don't need the motors, glass or light, just the outer cover. Nissan will not sell me just the outer cover and they want $560 + GST for the entire mirror. Can anyone help? Thankyou everyone for your suggestions, I will be sure to pull the whole headlight out tonight or tomorrow and see if I can find the problem wiring. At least I also have a working headlight to check the correct wiring on lol. Thanks again and I will keep you posted on what the findings are. Brendan

Hmm I might give the compliance workshop a call about that, however im not sure it is their fault as the headlight was working when I got the car. Im not in my warranty period, but they certainly might know how to fix it though. Thanks, Brendan

Hi everybody, I am having an issue with my M35 where my righthand headlight (low beam only) is not working. I have just changed the bulb only to have no success. On further probing, it seems that there is no voltage to the plug at all. I have checked all the fuses I can find (both next to the battery in the engine bay and in drivers side footwell and cannot find any duds. Trying to trace the wires through the engine bay I can across no fuses and eventually the loom disappeared into the passenger side of the firewall. I have also tried the ECU fault codes check on the CEL just in case, which reported no faults. Has anybody else come across this problem or know of any other fuse box that I am missing? Any assistance would be really appreciated thanks Brendan

Hi everybody, Im chasing the left hand side mirror casing for an M35 Stagea as I cracked mine clipping a pole reversing I dont need the motors or light or anything, that all works. I just need the shell. Thanks! Brendan

Yeah I am quite happy the way the transmission feels atm, just thought that I should change the trans oil as my first service of the car in Aus. Perhaps i'll put it off for a while then, but will definitely keep in mind the top secret nissan satchel for when the time comes Thanks again for the advice Brendan

Was your transmission running badly before you had it serviced? Its just that my transmission changes really smoothly and quite quickly ( about 500rpm increase at full throttle before changing, is that quick for an one of these cars?). Hi Guys and Girls, Well its time for me to do a basic service on my M35 ARX and I was just wanting to get an idea of what sort of oil ppl are using with their VQ25DETs and whether M35 owners use the same oil for Auto/4WD/Diff as with the C34. I was thinking of using a Castrol Edge 5W-30 engine oil along with Castrol SAF-XA 75W140 for the diffs and Castrol Transmax Z for auto/4WD (as suggested in stagea parts list for C34)? Does anybody use anything different from this and why? Also what do other people do for filters? Buy nissan or buy aftermarket? Thanks very much, Brendan

Nigel, Ah that would be the reason then, yeah I bought the car in about June I think? So had to get all the compliancing teed up then. Great to hear about the parts and things, I could be interested in a turbo back exhaust, I hear they liberate quite a bit of power? I'll definitely give you an email in the near future, I just work in Kewdale so thats pretty sweet, and live in Roleystone so nearby all round! Thanks for the info mate, Brendan

Damn I wish I knew about you a couple of months ago!!! haha I've not long ago received my M35 AR-X Four that I imported through J-Spec and they had told me I had to compliance in Brisbane as we had no compliancing here Good to hear someone in WA is finally compliancing them.
