After a bit of farting around it seems the sensor is dodgy.. And thanks also to the efforts of Andrew from Kudos Motorsport I'm certain the wreckers I got the sensor from supplied an r33 gtst sensor and mistaken it for a GTR sensor. Have a new sensor on order and should hopefully fix the problem We have checked all wires right up to the cluster and it all seems in order. Tapping the speed sensor while its in gear the reading seems accurate, and best of all constant.. So something seems dodgy inside the sensor itself. Bit of a f**k around which could have been avoided if i had the right sensor but such is life Thanks everyone for the help. Will inform you if the problem is resolved when sensor arrives

Alternatively. Is there a way to change the location of the shaft on the sensor? The replacement i got is offset the wrong way to fit a bigger cog. Is it possible to reposition it?

Bought a new cluster and I get the same problem. Wires have all been checked by auto electric mech.. but I cant say 100% as im just relying on what they say. Now the speed sensor that was bought had a different cog on it. And seems it is also in a different position. So there is more than one speed sensor type for a 33gtr? Wreckers only had that one speed sensor so what is the best way to aquire the correct speed sensor as i feel this is still my issue?

OK, Bt of an update. Auto elec mechanic found a crack in the PCB and that has been fixed. All electrics checked apparently.. But still no speed. They can spin it manually and the speed goes up but no reading from car Is it possible to get different speed sensors? He asked if I got an auto or manual sensor for replacement. Rang mechanic and said the only thing that was different was the gear on the end but he swapped them over so it has my original gear in it.. I'm going back to mechanic tomorrow to put original speed sensor back in just incase but any thoughts?

Yeah Callan I assume speeds were correct. They seemed to be the speeds I thought I was going. It stopped working. Then on way home worked. Worked all the way to mechanics. Stopped working while at the mechanics. Replaced speed sensor. Still no go Cheers Brad. Will have to just start crossing off the list I guess. Is there a way to ensure the replacement speed sensor is indeed working correctly?

It's R33 mate.. Interesting. I was under the assumption it went to ECU first. Would be interested in the schematic. Auto elec might be the first port of call then. Try track down where the fault starts

So noticed last week when going to get fuel the speedo wasn't moving. Checked the Power FC to get the reading. It also read 0. I noticed on the way home though that both Speedo and Power FC now were displaying correct speeds. Took it to the mechanics for a few other maintenance items and yet again speedo stopped working. Assumed from here it was the speed sender behind the gearbox. Just had a replacement installed at mechanics and no dice. Mechanic traced the wire all the way to the loom and no splits in the wire. So what options can there be to look at or anyone else experienced similar, and best profession to look into it ie. Auto elec? Details if required R33 GTR Nismo Dash Power FC D-Jetro

LOL. BF3 is the CoD killer I think. All the complaints here are the exact complaints I had. I've gone back to BF3. I also paid for elite and so far it's got shit all in it. COnsidering the lack of game work required vs BF3 new engine. I would have thought they put alot of effort into having elite running with awesome shit and plenty of content to kick it off. I thought the coupe didnt have the cup holders? Or it was an optional accessory? Mine simply has a cover that clips in. If you can find the cup holder i'd go with that. If not just the cover plate

CMC (Crime & Misconduct Commission) buddy.. Get his badge number, name & station ID.. And most importantly, witnesses I've had all types of cops.. Had ones that wouldnt leave the house after coming to do what they've done.. And were asked to GTFO.. Had others that when asked for help (here i said can some cops come with me to assist please) was told there are no cops here.. just police.. A heap of them are f**king scumbags.. But you shouldnt judge them all with the same demeanor.. There are some great cops(police) out there.. Just have to live with it i suppose.. just like there are f**kheads in all categories.. I've had some cops that sympathise and admit there is only so much within the law and their job they can do and you can just tell they want to do more but not much they can really do.. And mine have been various ages.. Some of the older ones who push the rules they know and using the legislation codes to make it look like you are legally required to do something..
